ROH News: ROH Producer Joey Mercury Arrested Over The Weekend

After being officially hired by Ring Of Honor as a producer recently (read about that here), former WWE Superstar Joey Mercury has gotten himself into some trouble after he was arrested this past weekend.

According to PWInsider.com, Joey was arrested in Schaumberg, Illinois on Saturday morning while he was in town for All In, where he was scheduled to work as a producer for the event. It’s being said that local authorities were told of Joey, real name Adam Birch, sleeping in his car outside of the Marriott hotel in Schaumberg and he was subsequently arrested after it was discovered that he had a warrant in the State of Florida.

While the State of Illinois has no charges against him, Birch is currently being held on $2,500 bail due to the warrant and has a court date set for tomorrow in Cook County, Illinois. At this time there is no information on what exactly the warrant for his arrest was regarding, however he could extradited back to Florida to have that taken care of depending on the court hearing tomorrow.

Birch had only been hired by Ring Of Honor at the end of July. Currently, ROH has yet to comment on the situation.
