*SPOILER* WWE Hall Of Famer Booked For SmackDown 1000

The past few weeks on Monday Night RAW and including tonight, we’ve seen WWE trot out Hall Of Famers and legends to promote the upcoming match between The Undertaker and Triple H on October 6th at Super Show-Down. ‘The Deadman’ himself, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley have all been seen on the red brand and with another big date coming up for the company, we will be seeing some more special appearances.

Tueday, October 23rd the WWE will present the 1000th episode of SmackDown from Washington D.C. and the expectation from the WWE Universe is that the company will look to make the show special, similarly to previous RAW anniversary shows. As that date gets closer, it appears as if WWE has already started to make those types of moves.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE Hall Of Famer Edge has officially been booked for the show, however it’s not known yet what his role will be. Of course, ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ can no longer compete, therefore hosting The Cutting Edge or being involved in a backstage segment are the most likely scenarios. While it has yet to be confirmed, there’s also talk that Christian will be appearing as well since season two of their WWE Network show is set to arrive by the end of the year.

As for rumors that The Rock will be making an appearance, the most recent speculation is that he will not be available due to his filming schedule. However, it’s been noted that should ‘The People’s Champion’ show up on SmackDown 1000, the company would likely be looking to keep it very quiet.
