WWE News: Batista Returning To WWE At SmackDown 1000 For Evolution Reunion

On Tuesday, October 16th, WWE will be celebrating 1000 episodes of SmackDown as the blue brand heads to Washington D.C. for what is expected to be a big event similar to Monday Night RAW’s 25th anniversary show back in January.

Previously, it was reported that WWE Hall Of Famer Edge would be appearing (read about that here). There also continues to be speculation that The Rock, who is of course the man responsible for coining the word SmackDown, as well as The Undertaker could both be in attendance. However, neither has been confirmed.

Today, WWE has announced a big reunion for the SmackDown 1000 show as Batista will return to the blue brand along with Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton, collectively known as Evolution. This will be the first time since 2014 that Evolution has been together on WWE programming and the first time ever that the group has been on SmackDown. Of course, the 2014 reformation of the group was minus ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. Orton is the only member who is currently a part of the SmackDown roster, however all four men have been on the SmackDown roster previously:
