WWE News: Daughter Of The Rock Training At WWE Performance Center

It’s been no secret that Simone Johnson, daughter of legendary WWE Superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, has had her eye on possibly following in her father’s footsteps towards the squared circle after opening up about it last November.

Previously, The Rock spoke about his daughter’s desire to take a shot at the wrestling game and today it looks like she has taken those first steps. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the 17-year old Simone is indeed training (part-time) at the WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It’s being said that her training began months ago or what’s being called “mainly occasional sessions with trainers”. However, the belief is she will begin to take training more seriously in the future due to her still being a high school student.

This comes on the heels of WWE Superstar Zelina Vega appearing on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory, detailing her time working with The Rock for the Paige biopic, Fighting With My Family. According to Zelina, Simone told her that it was during a shoot at Monday Night RAW that she knew she wanted to start wrestling training. Vega would also note that the two became close and stated that Simone had been training.
