It’s been a rough go for WWE’s ratings since the-post SummerSlam episodes of RAW and SmackDown Live, both shows seeing their viewership dropping by the week. With last night’s edition of the red brand following up Hell In A Cell on Sunday, could this week stop the trend?

The numbers are in today and last night’s RAW came in with a 2.672, a decrease of just under 2.5% from last week. Since the August 20th edition of Monday Night RAW, the red brand’s rating has dropped 13.67%. Here’s the last four weeks worth of numbers:

• August 28th: 2.877
• September 3rd: 2.872
• September 10th: 2.740
• September 17th: 2.672

Not only did RAW overall rating decrease again this week, but they also dropped down again in the Cable Top 150 Rankings for the 18-49 demographic, going from fourth last week to fifth this week (the 9PM and 10PM hours of RAW ranked sixth and seventh respectively).

1. NFL/Seattle at Chicago – ESPN – 3.99
2. Monday Night Kickoff – ESPN – 1.47
3. SportsCenter (12AM) – ESPN – 1.21
4. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood – VH1 – 1.01
5. Monday Night RAW (8PM Hour) – 0.96

EA’s Take: This is just going to continue and there’s really not a whole lot WWE can do about it. No matter how great their storylines are, no matter what big stars are on the show, they aren’t topping the NFL. Just look at that 18-49 share for the Seattle/Chicago game, totally unreachable for WWE. Now, if they can continue to keep their share of that demographic, that’s as good as you can hope for. Which actually, this week’s is up by .05 for last week. So while the rating is dropping, if anybody has been keeping up with these every week, then you already know ratings don’t mean as much these days.
