WWE News: Rey Mysterio Finally Signs WWE Contract, Details On The Deal

For months now, the “will he or won’t he” surrounding Rey Mysterio and his future with the WWE has been one of the most discussed topics in pro wrestling, seemingly filling news feeds for the majority of 2018.

The most recent update we had on Mysterio’s WWE status came from the multi-time World Champion himself, stating that he is simply waiting for the company to give him the word (read about that here). Today, it appears as if that “word” has finally been given and the saga of Rey’s return has nearly come to a close.

PWInsider is confirming that Mysterio has officially signed a contract to come back to the WWE after months of negotiating. It’s being said that while Rey had been trying to get an eighteen month contract, he acquiesced to WWE’s wish and has inked a two-year deal. However, according to sources there is a clause in the contract where Mysterio could give his notice to the company at the eighteen month mark. Right now, it’s believed Mysterio will not be working full-time, but that has not been confirmed.

Currently, it’s now just a matter of WWE working Rey into storylines before we see him back on television.
