WWE News: SmackDown Live Event Results From Amarillo, Texas (9/8/18)

Before this coming Tuesday’s final edition of SmackDown Live prior to next Sunday’s Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, the blue brand had some other business to take care of this weekend with a Live Event tour.

While SmackDown Live this week will be in Lafayette, Louisiana, the road there for the blue brand’s Superstars continued last night in Amarillo, Texas. Fans were treated to some great action including a Hell In A Cell preview when AJ Styles defended the WWE Title against Samoa Joe, Carmella challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title, plus The New Day faced the challenge of The Usos and SAnitY in a Triple Threat. • Rusev & Lana defeated Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas & Zelina Vega

• United States Title: Shinsuke Nakamura retained over Jeff Hardy
• Asuka & Naomi defeated Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville
• WWE Title: AJ Styles retained over Samoa Joe
