WWE Rumors: UFC Titleholder Teases Facing Ronda Rousey In WWE
WWE’s annual ‘Showcase of the Immortals’, WrestleMania, is still a good seven months away roughly, however it’s never too early for some WrestleMania rumors.
While UFC fans may have missed out on their chance to ever see current WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey square-off against the current UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg, there had been some light speculation about the chances of them matching up in WWE could be an option.
Today, Cyborg appeared on ESPN’s The MMA Show with Ariel Helwani and spoke about her upcoming fight against Amanda Nunes on December 29th, but also addressed talk of possibly appearing for WWE at WrestleMania 35:
“If it happens you know, maybe you can give all fans the fight they never see. As far as am I gonna be UFC, am I gonna be MMA, am I gonna be WWE…I think it would be great for all the fans if they like to watch, but I’m not sure about that one hundred percent, but I know people, I’ll talk to my manager and see what’s gonna be you know, if it’s a good thing or not. I don’t know, maybe this happens, but maybe not. You know, I don’t say no or anything. I think it’s…if you open the door I think the fans are gonna love…maybe they can make this fight happen in MMA, but maybe they can see in WWE.”
As for whether the WWE has reached out to her or not, Cyborg commented:
“With them, WWE, maybe I go to Florida and train there. But, news coming soon. I don’t want to say too much for now. Now I’m just getting focused for Amanda in December.”

EA’s Take: Just speaking as a fan, I don’t want any part of this. I thought we were trying to build to Rousey vs. Charlotte at WrestleMania and I’m good with that. I understand that a Rousey/Cyborg match would definitely make headlines for the WWE, but I’m just envisioning how brutally bad it could turn out to be. Ronda’s not at a point where she can carry a singles match with anybody, let alone someone who would be more green than she is. If WWE was to bring in Cyborg for a WrestleMania match against Ronda, the only scenario I can see would have to be a tag match. Give Ronda a tag partner (it would have to be a veteran who can carry the thing), match them up against Cyborg and (drumroll) Stephanie McMahon. It would make sense storyline wise at least, Stephanie could bring Cyborg in as her enforcer after all these attacks she’s continued to suffer at Ronda’s hands.

TNA Impact on AMC Drops to 175,000 Viewers, 0.03 18-49 Rating Amid Heavy Sports Competition
TNA Thursday Night Impact averaged 175,000 viewers on AMC last week, a 17.5% decline from the previous week’s 212,000 and the lowest audience since January 22. The show posted a 0.03 rating in the key 18-49 demo, down 25% and matching its lowest demo figure on AMC since the move.
The drop coincided with stiff competition — Impact ran opposite the NFL Draft (simulcast on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network) as well as NHL and NBA playoff coverage, leaving the program tied for 70th on the primetime cable charts. Versus the prior 10-week average (0.04 rating and 240,300 viewers), last week’s show fell 25% in the demo and 27.2% in overall viewers.

Nick Hogan Open to Pursuing In-Ring Career After Viewing Hulk Hogan: Real American
Nick Hogan told the Bonus Edition of the 83 Weeks podcast that after watching the final version of Hulk Hogan: Real American he’s more open than ever to stepping into the ring if the opportunity presents itself. Hogan said he’s been knocking off ring rust, is in good shape and “would absolutely welcome” the chance to pursue an in‑ring career, and noted the docuseries — which premiered on Netflix on April 22, 2026 — helped clarify his father’s legacy.
He also praised the series for pulling back the curtain on the many facets of Hulk Hogan, from character work to charitable efforts, saying it showed how dynamic a person his father is. Nick added that the long-discussed Chris Hemsworth biopic from 2019 remains a possibility despite delays, as the documentary continues to renew interest in Hogan’s story.
