Star Jr and Principe Diamante vs Misterioso and El Sagrado

Star Jr and Misterioso start the match off and they are doing some grappling, battling for position. Sagrado gets in there with Principe and he throws him around some but Principe is resilient hitting arm drags. Misterioso comes in to try and stop him from running wild but eventually Principe submits Sagrado with a stretch and Star Jr pins Misterioso with a head scissors victory roll. First Fall: Star Jr pins Misterioso with a head scissors victory roll.

Misterioso shoulder blocks Star to the outside when he wasn’t looking to start the second round. Star attacks him though while Misterioso poses. They try to double Star but it doesn’t work and he runs wild on them, hitting a head scissors to the outside on Sagrado which leads to him feigning a dive and hitting a pose. When Principe comes in with Misterioso he doesn’t have the same luck. He gets hit with a back suplex by Misterioso. Sagrado hits an exploder suplex on Star and then puts him in a leg lock. Misterioso hits an elbow drop on Principe for the fall. Second Fall: Misterioso pins Principe Diamante with an elbow drop off the top.

Third round starts with everyone exchanging big spots. Sagrado hits a power bomb on the barricade to Principe. Star tries to roll over the top rope and go for a hurricanrana but he botches this badly, then botched the hurricanrana to the outside. Sagrado hits a head scissors take over from the top on Star Jr for the pin. Misterioso hits a gory neck breaker on Principe for the win. Seems like the fans are fine with the rudos winning given the big botch. Third Fall: Misterioso pins Principe Diamante with a gory neck breaker for the win.

Winners: Misterioso and El Sagrado

Fuego, Drone, and Pegasso vs Dragon Rojo, Polvora, and Okumura

Drone and Okumura start the match off with some basic grappling and counters. Drone spends time working the arm but Fuego is quickly tagged in which brings in Polvora. They do some submission grappling, Polvora tries and fails to get a surfboard stretch. He tries to use his size to his advantage but Fuego is too elusive. Pegasso and Rojo come in and Pegasso comes in like a bat out of hell doing a bunch of front flips which intimates Rojo briefly. Rojo gets the advantage when he gets him in the corner and team stomps him. It breaks down into a 3 on 3 scenario in the ring. Drone gets isolated and Okumura and Polvora hit a magic killer on him for the fall. First Fall: Okumura pins Drone with a magic killer.

Second fall continues with Drone getting triple teamed. The midget Mije hits a dive on Drone which leads to them teaming on Fuego. It doesn’t last long, he retreats to the outside and his teammates help out. In the ring Pegasso hits a double arm bar off the ropes on Polvora and Roja and attempt dives that Okumura breaks up. They all exchange a plethora of high spots. Drone hits a sliding dive under the ropes on Okumura to the outside. Inside the ring Polvora and Rojo get the advantage on Fuego and Pegasso and put them in this elaborate double submission. Pegasso’s arms got stretched while Fuego had a knee in his back. Won’t see that in the UFC. Second Fall: Dragon Rojo and Polvora submit Fuego and Pegasso with a double submission.

Winners: Dragon Rojo, Polvora, and Okumura

Eliminator to Challenge the king of the Underworld (Number 1 contender for Sanson’s belt.)

Guerrero Maya, Esfinge, El Audaz, Black Panther, Triton, Flyer, Cuatrero, Forastero, Templario, Virus, Kawato San, and Tiger.

I don’t think I made a formal prediction on this match but the last tournament I predicted Templario, well, I choose him again because I’m a fan. So this title roughly translates to the King of the Dead or King of the Underworld. I guess generally Dead and Underworld are related. Maya and Cuatrero start out in this match. They fight for position but bring their fight to the outside where the rudos and technicos stare down. Black Panther and Virus are in next. They grapple for position as well. Next in are Templario and Flyer. As you can guess they’re grappling for position. This will likely be a trend until everyone comes into the ring.

They hit a stale mate, Flyer wants a handshake but Templario wants no part of it. Tiger and Triton get in next and while they’re battling for position they’re doing it at a much faster pace. Esfinge and Forastero are in next and eventually Esfinge hits a drop kick on him to the outside. He feigns a dive and hits a pose but his tag partner Triton joins him on the pose. Audaz is in next with Kawato san. Everyone has been in the ring now. Kawato hits a hurricanrana and then a dive over the top to the outside. Black Panther then hits a middle rope dive.

Flyer and Triton attempt dives but Virus and Templario stop them. Maya and Esfinge then hit middle rope dives on them. Chaos is breaking out. Kawato hits an enziguri on Flyer for a close 2 count. Triton hits a springboard leg drop on Kawato while he’s stuck in the ropes for the first elimination. Triton eliminates Kawato with a springboard leg drop.

First Elimination: Kawato San

Triton and Tiger are in now and Tiger dumps him to the outside and hits a big dive on him bringing in Black Panther and Templario, Panther hits a drop kick on him to the outside then feigns a dive. Virus comes in to attack him and gets him in an arm bar for the elimination. Virus eliminates Black Panther with an arm bar.

Second Elimination: Black Panther

Maya and Forastero are in next and Maya hits an arm drag to the outside then feigns a dive and hits a pose. Tiger and Flyer come in next and Tiger drop kicks him to the outside and does a dive but he’s caught and dropped and stomped on. He gets thrown back into the ring and Audaz hits a flying arm bar on him for the elimination. El Audaz eliminates Tiger with a flying arm bar.

Third Elimination: Tiger

Audaz and Templario are in now and they go back and forth. Audaz does a springboard dive to the outside on Templario after getting him out of the ring. Maya and Virus are next and their fight goes to the outside briefly. Cuatrero and Esfinge are in now. Esfinge hits a spin kick on him but Forastero breaks up the pin. Triton comes in to make the save but he’s hit with a fireman’s carry into a triangle arm bar for the elimination. Forastero eliminates Triton with a triangle arm bar.

Fourth Elimination: Triton

Audaz and Cuatrero are next but not for long. Cuatrero hits a code breaker then submits hit with a submission where he’s in the position for a tombstone pile driver without the tombstone. Cuatrero eliminates El Audaz with a submission hold.

Fifth Elimination: El Audaz

Virus and Flyer are in next and Flyer escapes a submission he gets him in. He gets Virus down and goes for a lionsault but Virus gets the knees up. He goes for the pin but Flyer reverses into a small package. He kicks out but gets Virus in an arm bar after. Flyer eliminates Virus with an arm bar.

Sixth Elimination: Virus

Templario and Maya are in next. Maya hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker then poses. Maya hits an arm drag off the top and tries to take Templario’s mask off. Templario gets him in a stretch submission after he gets distracted by the ref. Templario eliminates Guerrero Maya with a stretch submission.

Seventh Elimination: Guerrero Maya

Forastero and Cuatrero double team Flyer. Cuatrero launches Forastero into Flyer. Forastero gets Flyer in a triangle arm bar but Esfinge does a springboard dive on him for the elimination. Esfinge eliminates Forastero with a springboard dive.

Eighth Elimination: Forastero

Cuatrero super kicks Esfinge then hits a dive on him. Flyer and Templario are in, Templario slides to the outside but Flyer hits an asai moonsault anyway. Flyer goes for a dive on Cuatrero but he catches him and performs and crucifix power bomb for the elimination. Cuatrero eliminates Flyer with a crucifix power bomb.

Ninth Elimination: Flyer

Esfinge goes for a springboard attack but Cuatrero catches him for a power bomb then Templario hits a dive off the top for a 2 count. Templario and Cuatrero try doubling Esfinge. They fail on two double team attacks hitting each other by accident. On the third one Cuatrero had enough and spears him. Esfinge sneaks from behind and gets him in a pinning combination. Esfinge eliminates Cuatrero with a pinning combination.

Tenth Elimination: Cuatrero

The final two are Templario and Esfinge. Let’s see if I can make right on a prediction. Templario hits a power bomb lung blower for a two count. Esfinge hits a drop kick on him taking him outside the ring then hits an asai moonsault. Esfinge hits a Canadian destroyer for a close two count. He tries to use the same pinning combination that eliminated Cuatrero but Templario reverses. Esfinge gets him on the top rope but Templario reverses it into a gut wrench suplex off the top for the win. Templario pins Esfinge with a gut wrench suplex.

One of my predictions came true. I’m satisfied.

Eleventh Elimination: Esfinge

Winner: Templario.
