Joey Janela Gives Another Update On His Injury, How Long He’ll Be Out Of Action

As we noted earlier in the day, WWN has announced that due to Joey Janela’s recent injury, he has been stripped of the WWN Championship and a tournament to crown a new titleholder will take place on October 28th (check out that here).

Of course, Janela suffered a serious knee injury while performing for GameChanger Wrestling last weekend, then later revealed the laundry list of issues caused by it on social media (see that here). While no definitive timetable for a return was given, today Joey took to social media again after meeting with his surgeon. It appears as if the extent of his knee is far worse than expected and at this time the belief is he will be on the shelf for at least a year:

Well I met my surgeon today, it’s official I’ll be gone for atleast a year… even worse then I thought, really heartbroken. He said this one was is really bad, surgery next week… 😔 The voyage has never been easy for me, It's a long way to the top
