PLAY BY PLAY

NJPW and AXS TV set the scene in Beppu!

Suzuki-Gun is out for the heads of Los Ingobernobles de Japon. Back in April, the team leaders faced off for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. Tetusya Naito took that belt from Minoru Suzuki, only to be blindsided, bloodied and beaten by Chris Jericho! The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla now has that championship, but Suzuki is still seeking vengeance on the casually charismatic Naito. Suzuki almost destroyed Naito at Road to Destruction: Beppu, now he looks to finish the job! Can Naito survive the savage Suzuki? Or will this be the last we see of Tranquilo for some time?

But first, the Sliest Wrestler in the World wants his first singles gold in NJPW! However, Taichi is going for the Fierce Warrior of Chaos and his NEVER Openweight Championship. The last time these two met, it was in a Triple Threat with Mike Elgin included. Elgin won it, only to lose it back 1v1 against Goto. Can Goto keep his belt in this new 1v1 match? Or will he lose it again to the cunning “Holy Emperor”?

NEVER Openweight Championship: Hirooki Goto VS Taichi w/ Miho Abe!

Although Taichi moved up from lightweight to heavyweight to prove he could hang with the biggest and baddest, this title is technically open to all weights. Either way, can Taichi use his many tactics to take that title from Goto? Or will the perennial NEVER OC keep a tight grip on his favorite belt?

NJPW on AXS jumps into this match as Taichi has Goto down. Fans fire up as Taichi aims at Goto. Goto sits up, Taichi buzzsaws! Cover, TWO! Taichi keeps his cool, and tears off his pants! He’s serious now as he focuses. Goto stops the Superkick to get the headlock, but Taichi counters with a back suplex! Goto stands up to get an enziguri! Cover, TWO!! Taichi grows ever closer to winning, but he hasn’t got it yet. He drags Goto up and calls for a bomb, but Goto blocks. Taichi gives quick kicks to Goto’s face, then goes for the bomb again. He gets Goto up but Goto back drops him down! Goto and Taichi catch their breath as they stand. Taichi swings but Goto grabs him. Taichi denies the saido suplex, but not the Hell Wheel slam!

Both men are down but stirring as fans cheer. Goto stands first, gritting his teeth. He dares Taichi to stand, and Taichi rises. Goto grabs Taichi for a sleeper hold! Taichi reaches for ropes but Goto keeps him away. Taichi fades even as Miho rallies for her man. Fans duel as Goto squeezes tight. Red Shoes checks on Taichi with a lift of his hand. Taichi’s hand stays up, but Goto shifts to a dragon sleeper! Taichi grabs Red Shoes, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru sneaks in and attacks! He knocks everyone down, including Red Shoes, which keeps the referee from seeing Kanemaru kick and stomp Goto! Kanemaru slaps Goto, but runs into a BIG clothesline! Goto drags Kanemaru up and tosses him out, then goes after Taichi. He lifts Taichi up but now Desperado attacks! Suzuki-Gun helps it’s own, but Goto whips Desperado and clotheslines him out!

Goto doesn’t see Taichi grab his mic stand, especially with Roppongi 3K taking care of Desperado & Kanemaru. He finally turns around, but manages to duck the stand to fireman’s carry! Ushigoroshi! Miho shouts as Goto drags Taichi up for a dragon sleeper. Taichi slips out but still ends up in the Shotenkai, suplex to STO! But there’s no ref to count! Goto has covered for at least 5, but there’s no referee to be found. Fans rally up as Goto checks on Red Shoes. Goto goes back to Taichi for stomps, and then drags him up for clubbing forearms. He eggs Taichi on, Miho helps Red Shoes in. Taichi sits up, to get Goto’s buzzsaw kick! Goto drags Taichi up, but Taichi breaks free, only to get a headbutt! Goto drags Taichi up again, Inverted GTR! Cover, TWO!? Taichi shocks Goto by surviving!

Goto drags Taichi up but who is that storming down the ramp?! It’s Takashi Iizuka! Red Shoes stops the wild Iizuka and his metal hand at the ropes, but Goto takes care of him personally with a forearm smash! Iizuka is down, but Taichi gets away with a low blow! Then he uses the body scissor clutch to cover, TWO!? Goto escapes that wild screw job, but now everyone is down. Fans rally up as Iizuka rises. Goto and Taichi each crawl to a corner while Red Shoes also stirs. Taichi SUPERKICKS Goto! But he’s not done there, he drags Goto up, for a Last Ride! High stack cover all the way, TWO!? How did Goto survive?! Taichi keeps going, Black Mephisto reverse neckbreaker!! Cover, Taichi wins!!

Winner: Taichi, by pinfall; NEW NEVER Openweight Champion

Miho leaps into the ring to celebrate with her Star of Hokkai, as he now holds his first singles championship in NJPW! Of course, she and practically everyone else with connection to Suzuki-Gun helped him do it. Will Taichi rise to new greatness? Or will Goto return to bring this star crashing down soon enough?

Tetsuya Naito VS Minoru Suzuki!

To say there is no love lost between these two would be an understatement. The Uncontrollable Charisma gets on the nerves of the Meanest Man in the World, but The King of Pancreas isn’t exactly El Ingobernable’s favorite person, either. Will these two men make the title “Destruction in Beppu” literal in the course of this grudge match?

As always, Naito takes his time taking off his elaborate entrance attire. If anything, it’s part of his nonchalant mind games. But Suzuki won’t let him finish, he attacks Naito as he’s taking off the tearaway pants! The bell rings and Suzuki tosses Naito out of the ring. Suzuki kicks and knees and clubs Naito against the railing, then brings him to the other side to throw him into more railing. He stomps and punches Naito, but Naito comes back with a forearm. They trade shots back and forth, Suzuki standing low. Naito staggers around a corner but Suzuki puts him in the ring. Suzuki stomps and kicks Naito around, then throws more knees. He whips Naito but Naito reverses to knock Suzuki over and hit a basement dropkick! Naito puts Suzuki in a corner with the heel of his boot.

Suzuki slips out but Naito pursues. Naito whips Suzuki at railings and Suzuki almost tumbles over them. Naito brings Suzuki up to whip him into more railing. Suzuki simply snarls as Naito grinds and stomps him. Suzuki even eggs Naito on. Naito puts more effort into the heel of his boot, but Red Shoes wants them to bring this back to the ring. Naito brings Suzuki up to ram him into railing again. Suzuki staggers but Naito pursues. Naito elbows and clubs Suzuki against the railing, then puts him back in the ring. Fans applaud, but Suzuki catches Naito into a draping armbar! Red Shoes counts but Suzuki lets go at 4, to run and boot Naito to the railing! Naito is down, but Suzuki doesn’t leave him there. Suzuki brings Naito outside and around to bounce him off an announce desk.

Suzuki brings Naito toward the entrance ways, and fights among the fans! He bowls Naito through chairs! Then he wraps a chair around Naito’s head to choke him with the legs! Red Shoes counts and Suzuki lets go at 4. Suzuki watches Naito slowly stand, to jab a chair into Naito’s ribs! Naito clutches his side as he slumps to the floor. Suzuki leaves him for dead, but brings blue railing with him just because. Naito stirs and Suzuki watches for him. Naito makes his way back to ringside and Suzuki eggs him on again. He throws chops but Suzuki just knees Naito back. The ring count has reached 13 by the time Suzuki shoves Naito back in the ring. Suzuki has Naito on the apron, for another draping armbar off that apron edge! Red Shoes counts, and again Suzuki lets go at 4.

Suzuki returns into the ring, to toss Naito back on. They again go around as Suzuki knees and forearms Naito. Suzuki backs off to blast Naito with his own John Woo dropkick! Naito is in trouble while we go to break.

NJPW on AXS returns to see Suzuki picking on a Young Lion now! He dumps the younger wrestler over the railing, then he takes some swipes at various commentary teams. Suzuki makes a full lap around the ring, and boots that same Young Lion! Red Shoes counts and it reaches 10 before Suzuki goes back to Naito. Suzuki puts Naito back in at 14, but hears the fans rallying up for Naito. He paces as Naito slowly stands up. Suzuki kicks Naito stiff in the chest, then brings him up for a snapmare into another stiff kick. Naito writhes while Suzuki simply looms over him menacingly. Suzuki kicks Naito again and again, then covers, TWO! Suzuki has Naito with the mounted double wristlock!

Naito endures the torture of his arm as Suzuki makes it a hammerlock. Naito kicks and flails his legs while fans rally up. He feeds off that energy, but Suzuki shifts to a Fujiwara! Naito endures new arm pan as Suzuki even uses Naito’s own wristband against him! Red Shoes reprimands Suzuki so Suzuki ditches the wristband. Naito reaches and gets to ropes for the ropebreak! Suzuki lets him go, but stomps that bad arm. Suzuki eggs Naito and the fans on. He bumps Naito with his knee, then kicks Naito in the chest again. He knees Naito to a corner but Naito comes back with sharp chops! Suzuki just smiles and laughs it off. He kicks Naito more, then throws stiff forearms. Naito is in the corner and fans rally again, but Suzuki simply spits at the cameraman.

Suzuki brings Naito out but Naito reverses the whip. Suzuki runs out into an atomic drop and the neckbreaker! Both men are down, but making their way back up. Naito stands first and throws a forearm. Suzuki replies and now they go back and forth. Suzuki hits Naito stiff but Naito comes back, Naito blocks a kick to fire off. He whips Suzuki, running dropkick, sweeps the legs and shouts “O-sama!” at The King as he hits the swinging dropkick! Fans fire up as Naito poses. Suzuki sits up with another snarl but Naito stands on his head as he poses. Naito grinds in his heel but Suzuki still grits his teeth. Naito keeps toying with Suzuki, but Suzuki grins. Suzuki fights his way out of a waistlock to then throw stiff forearms. Naito pie faces, so Suzuki hits him harder. Naito hits back, Suzuki hits harder again.

Suzuki whips Naito corner to corner and hits a big boot! He snapmares Naito down and runs for a Penalty Kick! Then another! And another! Then another! Suzuki stomps Naito over and over, then drags him up to toss him back out of the ring. Naito flounders away but Suzuki pursues. Suzuki opens the gate and rips up railing to confiscate someone’s folding chair. Red Shoes won’t allow Suzuki to use this one, and they tug o’ war over it while Naito staggers over. Suzuki kicks Naito away, then brings him around to throw him into more railing. Fans rally for Naito but Suzuki decides to confiscate the timekeeper’s table! Suzuki folds the legs and brings it around, to SMACK Naito with it! Naito’s face left a dent in the wood, but Suzuki isn’t done with either one! Suzuki sets the table up, but Naito clubs Suzuki!

Naito and Suzuki brawl but Suzuki gets a facelock choke. Suzuki squeezes Naito, then puts him on the already damaged table. Suzuki then fetches another chair, but Red Shoes again stops Suzuki. Red Shoes wraps himself around the legs of the chair so Suzuki gives up on that. Naito gets away from the table but Suzuki meets him on the apron. Suzuki puts on another sleeper to squeeze the life from Naito. He even makes it a hangman’s sleeper! Suzuki lets go of Naito and Naito flops to the floor. Fans boo Suzuki and cheer Naito, so Suzuki tells them off. Suzuki drags Naito up as fans grow thunderous.

Suzuki adjusts the table’s position, and wants a Gotch Piledriver! Naito holds on for dear life, and breaks free to elbow Suzuki back. He then brings Suzuki over, for a neckbreaker through the table!! Both men are down in the wreckage while we go to break!

NJPW on AXS returns as Naito brings a dazed Suzuki up from the splintered wood. Naito wants to put Suzuki in the ring but Suzuki collapses. Naito leaves him out there and a ring count begins. It passes 10 before Suzuki stirs. Suzuki gets up at 14 but flops back down. The count nears the end, but Suzuki gets in at 19! And Naito meets him with a dropkick! Naito brings Suzuki up, hammerlocks, GLORIA! Cover, TWO! Suzuki is tougher than that, but Naito has more moves to use. He brings Suzuki up, wrenches the arm, but Suzuki elbows him away. Suzuki whips Naito but Naito comes back with leaping forearms! Naito hurries to wrench but Suzuki mule kicks Naito’s knee. Naito hobbles and Suzuki runs in, but into an elbow.

Now Naito puts Suzuki up top, climbs up to join him, but Suzuki grabs at the legs. They brawl up there, and Suzuki brings Naito down into an Achilles Lock! Naito flails and writhes as Suzuki pulls on the ankle and knee! Naito drags himself over as fans rally up, and gets the ropebreak! Suzuki lets Naito go but he won’t leave him be. He stalks Naito as he crawls. Suzuki kicks the bad leg, then brings Naito up for stiffer kicks. He stomps the other leg, then grabs the bad one. He elbows the knee and stalks Naito as he limps around. Suzuki brings Naito up but Naito throws forearms and kicks. Suzuki just kicks the bad leg then whips. Naito can barely run, so Suzuki runs, but into a low dropkick! Naito then hits the tornado DDT!

Fans rally as Naito aims. He runs but Suzuki denies the tilt-o-whirl and sweeps the legs, to roll Naito into a kneebar! Suzuki grapevines the leg and even pulls on the ankle, and drags Naito away from ropes. Suzuki steps through to wrench the leg into another kneebar! Naito endures the torture while fans rally again. Naito drags himself around as Suzuki twists as hard as he can. Red Shoes checks if this is it, but then Suzuki traps the free leg using his legs! Naito keeps trying, but Suzuki drags him away again. Suzuki drops down into a toehold, and Naito is again writhing. Naito flails but he doesn’t tap. Naito reaches but Suzuki shifts to a standing Half Crab! Suzuki pulls as far back as he can as he sits down on Naito! Naito still endures, so Suzuki moves around for another Achilles Lock!

Naito shouts and grits his teeth. The fans have not cheering him on, but Suzuki just takes all that as a challenge to hurt Naito more. Naito grabs Red Shoes so Suzuki shifts around to get back to the kneebar and cradle. He even traps one of Naito’s arms in there! Naito gets the arms free but that leg is still Suzuki’s chew toy! Naito grabs at Red Shoes again so Suzuki pulls hard all over again. Suzuki has both legs trapped with his grapevine, but Naito refuses to give up. Fans refuse to stop cheering him on, and this gives Naito the will to keep reaching. Suzuki doesn’t give up pulling on that bad leg, and rolls Naito over for yet another variation of trapping one leg while twisting the other! Red Shoes asks if Naito wants to stop, but Naito refuses.

Suzuki gets bored with that hold, so he gets up, and puts Naito in a Figure Four! Suzuki has used just about every hold imaginable, and hopes the Nature Boy’s favorite finishes this. Naito continues to endure but Suzuki puts more leverage into the hold. He twists Naito around, but Naito uses that moment to finally get a ropebreak! Suzuki lets Naito go, but drags Naito up. Suzuki fires off fast palm strikes from both sides, then wraps on the sleeper hold! Somehow Naito isn’t out cold yet, but he is turning purple. Fans continue to rally, but Suzuki shifts to his Gotch Piledriver! Naito holds on with whatever he has left, so Suzuki knees and slaps him. Suzuki brings Naito around, but Naito tilt-o-whirls into Destino!!

Both men are down, and Red Shoes checks on them. Suzuki rolls while clutching his sore head. Naito stirs and Suzuki actually likes seeing that. Suzuki hits Naito with a forearm, and Naito hits back. Suzuki hits again, but so does Naito. The forearms continue to fly as they both slowly rise to their feet. Suzuki hits Naito, but Naito hits back. Suzuki grins, and gives another swift shot to Naito. Naito hits back, but Suzuki hits harder. Naito staggers around,  Suzuki hits him again, Naito immediately hits back! Suzuki felt that one, but he still grins. He slaps Naito, Naito slaps Suzuki. Suzuki slaps, Naito slaps. Suzuki slaps, Naito slaps, repeat faster and faster! Naito takes slap from all sides, but gets a slap in the gap! And another! And another! Enziguri! Naito spits at Suzuki, then drags him up, to steal the piledriver!! Cover, TWO!!

Fans are still thunderous as Naito brings Suzuki back up. Tilt-o-whirl, DESTINO! Cover, Naito wins!!

Winner: Tetsuya Naito, by pinfall

It took so much out of him, but THE Ungovernable wins in the end. Both men are helped up while we go to break.

NJPW on AXS returns…

And Naito finally stands to have his hand raised in victory. Suzuki is down on the floor while Los Ingobernables de Japon has joined their fearless leader in the ring. Suzuki finally gets up and staggers off, but he surely won’t let this loss slow him down. As for Naito, he takes the mic to speak to the crowd.

“Buenos Noches, Beppu~!” He thanks them for coming tonight, for this return after a year and five months, as well as his first big match since then. What did they think? Did they like it? Beppu says yes! He notes the match earlier of LIJ’s Evil, Bushi & Sanada, and of course himself in the main event. And the fans surely know they’re still short that one member. Naito promises that next time, they’ll be back with that member, and LIJ will be at 100% strength!

By the way, the last time they were in Beppu and all the times before that, Naito has always ended up holding the mic. Did they notice? Well then the fans know what comes next, right? To everyone who supports LIJ in Beppu, this NJPW Beppu grand finale will be their roll call! “EVIL! BUSHI! SANADA! HIROMU! Y NAITO! Nosotros Los Ingoberrrrrnableeees~! DE JAPON!!” LIJ stands tall, tired as they are. Will LIJ only grow stronger as time goes by? Will they become the top faction in all of NJPW?

Backstage interviews.

Naito thinks back to April and Kumamoto, that and this makes two wins in a row against “The King.” The result was as he expected, and winning against Suzuki doesn’t do anything for him now. Naito knows in Kumamoto, he said it’s important “to return to normal, to not give up”. But that desire and will to change, the courage to take that first step, those are also important. Naito likes how that sounds, “the courage to take the first step.” As for what that means, Naito leaves that up to our imaginations. The answer of course is Tranquilo. Naito takes things easy, but will it be so easy to make it back to a title?

My Thoughts:

A really great episode right here. The bit of Goto VS Taichi we got was good, and it was pretty clear Taichi is the kind of weasel Heel who needs a lot of outside distracts to beat the big name. There is a big chance Goto will come back for that belt, that’s just his constant story in NJPW, but perhaps Taichi can use all his allies and assists to retain in sneaky ways so that Goto has to think of something else to fight for. We saw at Fighting Spirit Unleashed that he’s up for fighting Jeff Cobb just to test both men’s power levels. With Jeff Cobb being ROH World Television Champion, should Goto get that NEVER Openweight title back, I wouldn’t mind them at least having a Championship VS Championship match to see if someone becomes both.

And of course, the main event, the meat of the episode, was incredible. Much of this Suzuki VS Naito match was like their previous meeting but with new twists using that to their advantage. Just as I was wondering where Suzuki’s submission skills were, he goes after those bandaged legs. Naito shows some real grit, but bordered dangerously on too much. They stayed in one hold for quite a long time, but it still seemed to work for the match. It was great for Naito to go over, and while he says it doesn’t really help him, it also doesn’t hurt Suzuki. Both men are still strong no matter what, but I’m thinking at the very least, this could lead Naito back to Jericho and that IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

My Score: 8.6/10

G.O.A.T.

Triple H narrates, “The Goat. You hear it so much, you forget what it means: Greatest Of All Time. Is it measured in titles? Records? Or calibrated in time? Games and matches morph into seasons, seasons into years, years into decades. But The GOAT perseveres in a style all his own every damn night, until he’s an era unto himself. John Cena made his WWE debut June 27, 2002. But what marks the intervening quarter-century, and that which makes Cena the GOAT, nothing less than the sacred currency of professional wrestling: The connection. That communion with the crowd. Oh, he sees you. He hears you. He feels you. Loves you. Every last one.” So, for one last time, #ThankYouCena!

Cody Rhodes VS Oba Femi!

While The American Nightmare wants to settle things with the Scottish Terminator once and for all, The Ruler made it clear that “Quarterback Number One” needs to focus on him now! Will the NXT Champion prove he is The Destroyer and the Bringer of War? Or will Cody show us why HE is undisputed?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as the two champions stare down. They circle, feel things out, and tie up. They’re in a deadlock as Cody cannot push Oba back, but then Oba SHOVES Cody! The fans duel and sing as Cody shrugs that off. Cody and Oba reset, circle again, and they tie up. Cody headlocks, shifts, hammerlocks, then ducks an elbow! Oba says it was that close. The two go again, Cody avoids the grapple to headlock, but Oba powers up and carries Cody to the ropes! Oba then powers up and out, but Cody ducks the boot to DROPKICK a leg! The fans boo as the Scottish Terminator just HAD to ruin the match! So much for an “unsafe working environment” when he’s the one on the attack! But now OBA gets in Drew’s face! The fans fire up for this, and Drew says Oba is too dumb to understand what’s going on here. Oba SHOVES Drew! And then CODY CUTTER!! Cody gets the better of Drew, and Oba adds on! CHOKE SLAM! The fans fire up for Oba as he stands up for both himself and Cody Rhodes. Cody shows him respect by giving Oba his title, and raising his hand! The fans cheer, but what will it take for Cody and Drew to finally put this one to bed?

Bayley w/ Lyra Valkyria VS Sol Ruca w/ Zaria!

The Role Model has been working on getting back to titles, the same as the Soul Surfer of NXT. But now Sol gets a chance to really show what she’s capable of going against a WWE Grand Slam Champion! Will Bayley get her soul snatched in DC? Or will she prove to everyone else that she’s still got what it takes?

The bell rings and Bayley circles with Sol. The fans rally, the two tie up, and Bayley headlocks. Sol fights around, Bayley shifts to a waistlock, but Sol fights up to switch. The tag team champions got a lot more out of Je’Von & Leon than they expected, but there’s no question the future of pro-wrestling will be bright! The champs show them great respect, too, and the fans applaud. Will it only be a matter of time before the Youngest In Charge are truly in charge?

The MIZ interrupts?!

He does it by shouting “AWWWWWESOME~!” over commentary talking! “Y’know what would’ve really been awesome? If this Last Time Is Now Tour didn’t pretend like I didn’t exist! Like I didn’t happen! I’ve been a main character in the history of John Cena! But here we are! Here we are, focusing on the new and up-and-coming superstars, when the guy that beat John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania, in this outfit, in this gear, is standing right here! I demand respect! I demand-” R-TRUTH is here! The fans fire up as Truth runs down the ramp a la John Cena and slides right into the ring! He’s even in a baseball cap, shirt, and jorts!

The fans cheer and sing, “What’s Up?” Truth says he saw what Miz did! In the Last Time is Now tournament, Miz did something real inappropriate with Nick Aldis’ balls! He took someone else’s opportunity! And that person… is right here! Truth holds up the lottery ball Miz swapped out! Miz snatches that away from Truth, opens it up, and reads the paper. “Joe Hendry?” “SAY HIS NAME AND HE APPEARS!” And Joe Hendry SPINS into view! Miz says NO! NO! NO! Turn the stupid music off and stop dancing! Miz is so sick of this! STOP CLAPPING! Truth says this is what Miz is asking for, though! Nd Hendry fires hands!

Hendry joins in with saying, “You Can’t See Me!” TEN KNUCKLE SHUFFLE! And then Hendry guzels for the STANDING OVATION! Cover, Truth count sit, Hendry “wins!” The fans in DC all now believe in Joe Hendry, he’s so prestigious. But will Miz ever be humble enough to let anyone else have the spotlight?

John Cena VS GUNTHER!

All good things must come to an end, and the same is true for the great careers of living legends. Truly, the last time is now, and the only one who doesn’t want to celebrate it is Der Ring General! Gunther won the right to face John Cena, and he wants to make it so that for the first time and the last time, John Cena finally gives up. Will Gunther make Cena’s moment all about him? Or will Cena go out on top in one last main event?

The fans already chant “Let’s Go, Cena!” while waiting on the entrance. And then the lights go down, and the music hits! The tron slideshows as many of the classic John Cena looks from the past 20 years as it can, and Cena tells Stu that this might be weird, but hold on. Cena takes the camera so he can film Stu! Stu asks if Cena’s ready, and Cena says yes! Cena asks the fans if they’re ready, and he shows the towel that says “The Last Time Is Now!” in Washington Wizards style. Cena runs down the ramp, slides into the ring, and the fans erupt with cheers! Cena makes sure to see all sides of the crowd, and again hopes they’re ready for this.

Cena then steps back out to shake hands with Trish Stratus, Eve Torres, RVD, Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Michelle McCool, Elias, Kevin Owens, Haku, Booker T, Sami Zayn, and Sami’s son. Cena returns to the ring so we can get the big time main event introductions! The fans are already fire dup, and they only keep it going as the bell rings. Gunther and Cena circle, feel things out, and they tie up. They’re in a deadlock, the fans all cheer Cena on, and the two break. Cena is surprised there isn’t a “Cena sucks” in the chant but he and Gunther reset. They feel things out again, but Gunther backs off.

Gunther steps out of the ring and the fans boo, but Gunther is doing this just to cool the fans off. Gunther steps back inside, he and Cena tie up again, but the fans tell Gunther off. Gunther UPPERCUTS Cena, stomps him down, then soaks up all that heat. Gunther goes back to Cena, stands him up again, and he UPPERCUTS Cena back down! The fans boo as Gunther puts Cena in a corner. The fans boo but Gunther says it is done!

Cena sputters, sits up slowly, and the fans tell Gunther off again. Gunther aims from the corner, runs up, and LARIATS Cena back down! Gunther wants the ref to either call it or ask Cena. Cena refuses to give up as he sits back up. The fans rally behind Cena, but Gunther runs to LARIAT him back down! Gunther talks trash on the fans while they boo. Gunther paces, circling like a shark with blood in the water. The fans rally for Cena as hard as they can, and Gunther eggs him on. Cena stands, Gunther LARIATS again! Gunther shouts at Cena to give up already. Gunther is foaming at the mouth and the fans say that’s gross.

Cena stands, Gunther runs, LARIAT! Gunther is piling on the punishment as he insists Cena say he’s done. Cena rises up, the fans tell Gunther off again, so Gunther runs again. LARIAT! The fans boo, but Cena storms in around the way! Gunther CHOPS! And then APRON BACK SUPLEX!

Cena sputters and slumps back down, but Gunther whips him into steel steps! Cena falls in a heap while the steps are knocked apart! The fans boo but Gunther refreshes the ring count. Gunther brings the other steel steps around, closer to the desk! Gunther then steps up so he can soak up all the heat. Gunther tells DC to shove it, then he fetches Cena. The fans tell Gunther off in return but he just chuckles. Gunther CLUBS Cena to be on the steps, then throws down fists! The fans boo, but Gunther clears the desk! Gunther then goes back up the steps, reels Cena in, but Cena fireman’s carries! ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT DOWN THROUGH THE DESK!!

The fans are electric as both men are down on the ground! The ref checks both men, and Cena is already rising up! The fans rally for Cena, they boo Gunther, but Cena gets a second wind! Cena pries the hold open! But Gunther clamps it back on! Cena is fading again! Gunther sits Cena down, wraps on the body scissors, but Cena refuses to give up! A third wind and Cena shifts around! Gunther stays between Cena and ropes, but Cena pries the hold open, and fireman’s carries! But Gunther slips free, back to the SLEEPER!! Cena is turning red, but so is Gunther as they are in this war of attrition! Cena gets a fourth wind, if you will, but Gunther becomes a backpack! Cena stays on his feet, but that look on his face isn’t good… Gunther shifts to get as much weight as he can on Cena!

Cena is fading! The ref checks the arm, it drops once! The arm drops twice! Is it over?! The arm… STAYS UP!!! Cena rises from the dead! Gunther shifts to HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOW away!! Then the SLEEPER is back on!! Cena grits his teeth, all of DC and perhaps the entire WWE Universe behind him! But Cena is back on the mat! CENA TAPS?!? Gunther wins!!!

Winner: Gunther, by submission

The entire arena is shocked! Over 19 THOUSAND fans witnessed Cena fight beyond human expectations, and not one of them expected Cena to tap out. Many call BS, but those subside so that they can all give Cena one final standing ovation. “Thank You, Cena!” Cena sits up, and he gives a deep bow of respect. Cena is then surprised to see Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and pretty much everyone else walks out from the back. CM Punk and Cody Rhodes each talk with Cena in the ring, and they want to “pay it forward.” They let Cena hold their belts one last time, and the fans all cheer.

Cena is humbled as he looks out at everyone around ringside. The fans continue to cheer, “Thank You, Cena!” while they and the superstars, producers and management all clap. The fans boo a bit seeing HHH on the apron, but they cheer when Cena raises both world titles one last time. Corner to corner, side to side, all 360 degrees, Cena makes sure everyone sees him with the belts one last time. And then the fans boo a bit as HHH and Cena hug it out. HHH then cues up one final tribute video to Cena. #ThankYouJohn. Cena bows to each side of the ring one last time, and he takes off his sneakers and wristbands to leave them in the ring.

The fans cheer once more as Cena slides out of the ring, and heads back up the ramp, high-fiving the front row as he goes. Cena takes one final bow on stage, and salutes. “It’s been a pleasure serving you all of these years.” The fans continue to cheer as Cena then steps back through the curtain and to the backstage area. Truly, thank you, Cena, for 25 years of hustle, loyalty, and respect.

My Thoughts:

An awesome Saturday Night’s Main Event, certainly more like what these should be versus what we usually get. Though, this might have been a unique case since it was Cena’s final match and they also did what were to be “showcase” matches for NXT. Cody VS Oba was a great opener, but I pretty much nailed my prediction of Drew attacking. But great stuff for Oba to help beat up Drew in return. Obviously, we’re going to get Cody VS Drew one last time, maybe in Last Man Standing or I Quit so that they finally have something decisive and noncontroversial. And either way, Oba has established himself to fans who don’t watch NXT, they’ll understand he’s a big deal when he finally gets his call-up.

Great match from Bayley VS Sol, Sol also got to show fans what she’s capable of, and I’m actually rather surprised she won. But perhaps Sol & Zaria can make the jump to the main roster as a tag team to even further add to a pretty powered up tag division. That’d be pretty cool, as it doesn’t seem they want to split these two up, or else we would’ve gotten that on NXT by now. Styles & Dragon VS Je’Von & Leon having such a wild start was great, but also a bit surprising. Even so, Je’Von & Leon got to show what they can do with their aerial moves, but I figured Styles & Dragon would win out as they’re still tag champs.

Miz “interrupting” and being confronted by Truth was some good stuff. It was also a great way to get Joe Hendry back on a main roster special, he might be fast tracked to main roster after this next phase in NXT fighting for that chant at New Year’s Evil. And of course, the main event (despite what stupid fans were speculating would be the opener) was Cena VS Gunther. An awesome main event, of course, really pouring on the false finishes and the drama of that sleeper. The fans obviously made it clear they hated the tap out, and honestly I’m not really for that, either. Obviously Cena was losing, he isn’t one to buck tradition, but Cena doing a pass out with a smile on his face plays so much better than him tapping out with like half a smile on his face.

For that matter, what was that look on Cena’s face in that moment anyway? Cena’s a great actor but I’m not sure he chose the right motivation in this “scene.” Frustrated, upset, reluctant, those are the emotions I’d expect because I’d be like that myself. Not sure if HHH is all to blame, per what the fans were doing, but feels like we need an episode of Unreal on this right away to explain how we got here. In the end, we can’t let this ruin the great night, Cena’s in-ring career has come to an end, and it really makes you look back over the last 25 years and tear up a bit. Truly, for everyone at The Chairshot, #ThankYouCena.

My Score: 9/10

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Josh Alexander w/ Don Callis!

Utilita Arena is now “Whose house?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The Realest made it through a Tornado Tag against The Opps alongside Hangman Page, but now he must deal with a Walking Weapon. Will Swerve remind us all why he’s the Most Dangerous? Or will Alexander take that “title” from him by any means necessary?

The bell rings and the fans already tell Callis off when he only just got here. Swerve and Alexander slowly circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Callis joins commentary as Alexander puts Swerve in the corner. The ref counts, Alexander lets off slowly, but then headlocks. Swerve powers up and out, the two RAM shoulders, and neither man falls. Alexander runs to RAM Swerve again, but Swerve smiles as he shakes that off. Alexander pie faces Swerve, tells him to go, so Swerve runs to RAM Alexander! Swerve then cartwheels to dodge, but Alexander avoids the dropkick! Things speed up, Swerve catches the hurdle, SNAKE EYES!

Swerve runs and he BOOTS Alexander down! The fans fire up and Swerve stalks Alexander to a corner. Swerve blocks a kick, avoids the swiping hands, and then slips around, BACKBREAKER! The fans fire up while Alexander flounders away. Swerve shakes out his leg, but Alexander goes for it! Swerve CLUBS Alexander, snapmares, runs, and KNEE DROPS! Alexander sputters and the fans sing, “Swerve’s House! In the middle of our street!” Swerve drags Alexander up and turns him, for a NECKBREAKER! Then a gator roll to another turn, and NECKBREAKER! Swerve gator rolls again, but Alexander powers Swerve to the ropes.

Swerve puts Alexander in the ropes, and he tells Callis this is his guy! Nana talks trash to Callis, and Swerve HOTSHOT NECKBREAKERS Alexander down! The fans fire up and Callis says he was just accosted by a male backup dancer. Swerve goes to the apron, but Swerve stops the kick! Alexander POSTS the leg, then suplexes Swerve off the apron, to GOURD BUSTER ON THE DESK! Swerve writhes, clutching his leg, and Alexander is more than proud of himself for that one. The fans tell off Alexander now, but he CHOPS Swerve! Alexander has Swerve on the apron, and he BODY CHECKS Swerve to the floor!

The fans boo but Alexander soaks it up, and Collision goes picture in picture.

The ref reprimands Alexander but Callis applauds him. Alexander drags Swerve up, UPPERCUTS him, then UPPERCUTS again! Alexander puts Swerve in the ring, only to drag him to the corner! Alexander pulls Swerve’s leg against the post, then fires off elbows! The ref counts, Alexander stops at 4, but he SLAMS the leg against the apron! Alexander takes his time stepping back into the ring, and he stalks Swerve to CLUB him on the back. Swerve hobbles, Alexander fires forearms and CHOPS, then stomps the bad leg. Swerve leans against ropes but Alexander brings him around. Alexander ROCKS Swerve and has him in the corner.

Alexander fires forearms and scuffs him. Alexander fireman’s carries to ROLLING SENTON! Cover, TWO! Swerve is tougher than that, and Nana rallies the fans. Alexander is more amused than anything, and he drags Swerve around. Alexander TWISTS Swerve’s foot, then stands him up to fire a forearm! Swerve fires back, and Collision returns to single picture. The forearms go back and forth, the fans cheering Swerve and booing Alexander! Swerve gets the edge, but Alexander ROCKS Swerve! Swerve SOBATS! And CHOPS! But Alexander BOOTS Swerve down! Swerve UP KICKS, then somersaults, but the leg won’t let him jump!

Alexander waistlocks, Swerve elbows free, but Alexander blocks a kick to CLUB the leg! And SHIN BREAKER! And SAIDO! The fans boo but Alexander reels Swerve in. Swerve slips free of the bomb, to POWER LIFT POWERSLAM! The fans fire up while both men are down! Callis admits, that’s a great maneuver. Swerve stalks Alexander, UPPERCUTS again and again in the corner, then snapmares him. Swerve goes up, and FALLING UPPERCUT! And he still hits the Griddy! The fans fire up and Swerve SLAPS Alexander! And BOOTS him! And ROCKS him! Swerve puts Alexander up top, climbs up, and the fans rally again.

Alexander kicks at Swerve’s leg, then hops down to the apron. Swerve CHOPS Alexander, kicks, but Alexander dodges to ROCK him! And scoop him!? And APRON POWERSLAM! Alexander goes up now, but Swerve hurries after him! The fans rally as both men are up, SUPER DUPER ANGLE SLAM! Both men are down while the fans fire up! Swerve crawls to a cover, TWO!! Alexander has a foot, he wants the Half Crab, but Swerve fights the turnover. Swerve shoe Alexander away, Alexander comes back, but into a cradle! TWO, and Alexander has the leg! KNEE JAMMER! LEG WHIP! And now HALF CRAB! Swerve endures, reaches out, and the fans rally as he crawls for the ROPEBREAK! Callis says that was a desperation move, but Alexander stalks Swerve to the corner. The fans taunt the “Walking Wanker’ but he CHOPS Swerve! And CHOPS! Swerve fires CHOPS of his own, then HEADBUTTS the fist?! But Alexander puts the bad leg in ropes, KNEE DROP on the knee!

The fans boo but Alexander brings his kneepads down. Alexander goes up, up, and KING KONG KNEE FLOPS as Swerve moves! Somersault and FLATLINER! The fans fire up as Swerve fights through the pain! “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” HOUSE CALL!! Cover, TWO?!?! alexander survives, but Swerve gets him with the half nelson and BIG PRESSURE!! Cover, Swerve wins!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

The fans are all fired up, and Swerve gets a mic to say, “The last time I stood in this ring, in this arena in front of you people, I was AEW World Champion. Now, it’s about time I get right back to that. I didn’t come back to AEW to face off against the Don Callis Family. I didn’t come back here to face off against Hobbs & Shibata. I came back here for one damn thing: the AEW World Championship!” The fans cheer that! Swerve tells Joe his days are numbered. The wolves are circling! And Swerve’s not just anybody coming after Joe, he is the Most Dangerous Man! He is declaring himself the top contender to go for that title, to turn AEW back into whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!”

Well, we all knew Hangman and Swerve would both want the title back, and they might just have to fight it out between themselves again. Will anyone survive when these two throw down again?

Toni Storm speaks.

“The Babes of Wrath are having a tag team championship toast? You can’t have a toast without us!” Toni pulls Mina Shirakawa in, and Toni continues, “As we said to the security guard to gain free admission into Cardiff Castle, strap in and strap on, for we are here to wet your whistle!” Mina says, “Chin up, tits out, and watch for the Love Bombs!” These two are ready to spice things up, will they join Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron on the celebration tonight?

Kris Statlander & Jamie Hayter VS Julia Hart & Skye Blue w/ Thekla!

The Galaxy’s Greatest and the Southampton Slugger aren’t exactly friends, but they both want to break the Triangle of Madness. Will Kris & Jamie hold it together to stand tall together? Or will the Sisters of Sin drag them down into the darkness?

But wait, while Thekla is making her entrance, where are the two actually in the match? They sneak in from the crowd side! Julia & Skye attack from behind! The fans boo as Skye fires off on Jamie and Julia is after Kris! The bell rings, Kris TOSSES Julia out, and then Jamie returns fire on Skye! The fans rally as Jamie CLUBS away on Skye, then she scoops to SLAM Skye down! Tag to Kris, Kris scoops Jamie and SLAMS her onto Skye! The fans cheer that, and then Jamie says her turn! Jamie scoops Kris, and SLAMS her onto Skye! The fans cheer again, and Kris scoops Skye! Jamie helps out, DOUBLE SLAM!

Julia tags in, but Kris kicks, BOOTS, and CRAVAT SLAMS Julia down! The fans fire up and Kris tags in Jamie. But Julia bumps Kris off buckles, DECKS Jamie, and goes up the corner. Julia tightrope walks, and OLD SCHOOL RANAS! Jamie runs in, dodges to kick, then she whips. Julia reverses, Jamie redirects and she BOOTS Julia down! The fans fire up as Jamie then clinches, and EXPLODER on Julia!

Jamie runs to ELBOW Julia, then she snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! Jamie drags Julia up, ROCKS her against the ropes again and again, then runs, but Julia trips her up! Jamie hits ropes, Skye KNEES her down! Skye taunts the fans, they boo, and Julia clinches to STO! STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Jamie endures, fights her way up, and she fires body shots. Julia CLUBS her down! Julia drags Jamie around, whips her to the corner, and LARIATS! Tag to Skye, the Sisters mug Jamie, and Skye digs her boot in. The ref counts, Skye backs off, and then Skye drags Jamie up, Jamie fights the suplex, fires body shots, then cradles, TWO! Backstage interview with JetSpeed.

Lexi Nair speaks with both Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey ahead of their C2 match. This could be a crucial win and loss for them, but how are they feeling? Kevin says when this year’s C2 was first announced, they both knew they would be this possibility. But Speedball brings the best out of Kevin, so tonight, Cardiff is gonna see something special. Bailey agrees, he looks forward to this. But they saw a draw in Claudio VS Konosuke. And Bailey is coming off that huge win over Kyle Fletcher. Bailey needs six points to make it to the semifinals, but Kevin says same for him. Good. Then don’t pull any punches, don’t hold anything back, and Bailey will do the same.

Kevin says he expects nothing less. It is all out of respect, so let’s go all out. JetSpeed Up! But them, who will fly the highest as they get another win?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes out the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, the Babes of Wrath! Cardiff cheers as Willow & Harley make their way out to the ring, belts around their waists and smiles on their faces! Schiavone welcomes and congratulates them. Harley asks, “Who are we?” Willow says, “BABES!” “What do we have?” “WRATH!” The fans cheer along, “BABES OF WRATH! BABES OF WRATH!” Schiavone says they are the historic first-ever Women’s Tag Team Champions, that must mean a lot. It sure does! Last time they were in front of this very crowd in this very arena, Willow wrestled Harley Cameron.

Harley says yes, it was fantastic! After getting off the plane, the airline lost all Harley’s luggage, she had nothing to wear, so she of course panicked, and she asked to borrow clothes from everyone else, so they all gave her something. She ended up in a weird looking Halloween costume, but anyway, Willow kept hitting Harley as hard as she could. But Harley kept getting back up, and that’s been their story together. There is no one Willow would rather partner with. The fans cheer that! Harley will say this: There are a lot of teams out there, a lot of women out there. If you’re wondering who is next, it could be any of them.

But wait! Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa do indeed show up to join the festivities! The Timeless Love Bombs join the Babes of Wrath in the ring, the fans sing for “Toni, Toni Storm~!” and Toni gets a mic. “Sickos of Cardiff, lend me your ears.” The fans cheer, but it is Mina who speaks, “Harley and Willow, we asked you for a fight to remember.” Toni says she and her “lover” may not have gotten what they wanted, but they did do the three most important things: They kicked some ass, they shook their tits, and they gave everyone a fight to remember! Wait, Mercedes Mone is now crashing the party?

The fans are torn as The CEO is in her Union Jack costume and says there cannot be a championship celebration without the greatest champion in AEW history: HER! The Global Icon, Ultimo Mone, PWI’s Number One Wrestler of 2025, THE CEO OF AEW! Mina tells Mone to shut up! Mone says no one tells her to shut up! When she looks in the ring, all she sees are a bunch of losers! Just like everyone here in Cardiff! And did they forget that Mone led a team in Blood & Guts that kicked all their asses? Toni says let’s just do this here and now then, darling!? Oh, right here, tonight? HELL NO! Wales is not even a real country!

The fans boo, but Harley tells Mone that clearly, she’s not good at geography, or at math. There’s four of them, and just less of Mone. Mone is just dodging cuz she ain’t got no friends! The fans cheer that, but Mone says The CEO doesn’t need friends. She will still bring a team of killers this Wednesday to Manchester, England. The fans boo but Toni says, “Challenge accepted, slop tar! We will raise a glass, and we will wax your ass!” Mone isn’t sure what that last part means, but just who will the Money Train bring to Manchester for a Holiday Bash?

Ricochet admires his AEW National Championship.

The One & Only says it sure looks good. “Ladies and gentlemen, and all my Frequent Fliers out there, this is your captain speaking. And you are now looking at the AEW National Champion, a champion of the greatest nation on Earth: The USA! And 2025 has been really good to me. In 2026, it’s only gonna be even better, and lemme tell you why. I am entering the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal. The One & Only sure thinks he’s going to ring in the New Year, but will he even make it past the other 11 competitors? Speaking of…

AEW hears from the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal competitors.

Anthony Bowens says the Pride of Professional Wrestling is ready to add a diamond ring to the collection. Brody King says he’s not a ring guy, but “AEW World Champion, Brody King,” has a nice ring to it. Bowens vows to win the battle royal and then the world title, and there won’t be any Max Caster. Except Platinum Max is in this battle royal, “Let’s Go, Max! You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” Oops. Bowens is furious! Kaun says that while Ricochet’s Quest for Gold is complete, there is still blood in the water. MVP says Bobby Lashley is still recovering, but good news: Shelton Benjamin will be in the battle royal!

Mark Davis says Don Callis called, and said there’s one thing that’ll make him very happy: the family bringing home that Dynamite Diamond Ring! Dunkzilla is bringing it home in Manchester! That is quite the diamond dozen, but who will survive to make it to the New Year?

A truly fast ‘n’ furious battle, and now Bailey joins Okada and Fletcher at the front of the pack! Bailey shows Knight respect, and Knight shows it back. Will Bailey look to win the entire tournament for the both of them?

Kyle Fletcher speaks.

“I don’t care what people want to say about my match with ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey. I don’t really feel like celebrating. I had all the momentum in the world in this tournament, I was alone at the top of the Gold League, and now that’s ruined! But I have no time to wallow, because Holiday Bash in Manchester, I face my next challenge, The Bastard, Pac. Now, the Death Riders and the Don Callis Family, we have this unspoken agreement to stay out of each other’s way so we can accomplish our own goals, but this is the Continental Classic. If I am going to bring it to my own family members, I have to bring it to you!

“So I don’t care if you have the entire arena behind you, I am going to get my momentum back! So bring your best, Bastard!” The Protostar has put Pac on notice!

Pac responds!

“Kyle Fletcher. I know you very well. And to bare witness to your meteoric rise in professional wrestling has been nothing short of remarkable. I’ll be honest, I am in awe of everything you have achieved. But lemme be very clear: I do not care how brilliant your matches are, how brilliant they think your matches are, how brilliant he thinks your matches are! You’re about to dip your toe in a very different pool. Nothing brilliant will be happening in Manchester, alright? I am going to grind you down, Kyle. Because I am a very different breed, forged from decades of experience at the very highest level.

“Speedball knows. Okada knows. And very soon, you will know, too.” The Bastard has put Kyle on notice, but will Pac’s Black Arrow and Brutalizer break the Aussie Arrow?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Collision, though a little annoying it had to wait for a basketball game to finish. I suppose that’s just how it is being on TNT. Swerve VS Alexander was a great opening match, and of course Swerve won. Good promo from Swerve to follow, where he of course calls out Samoa Joe for the title like Hangman. A little disappointed that we’re skipping Hangman VS Swerve Round X and going right to a Triple Threat. But I suppose with their schedule a touch rushed because of the holidays and the Continental Classic, there wasn’t any wiggle room. Plus, The Opps were probably going to “ruin” Hangman VS Swerve and compel the Triple Threat anyway, so it was more like cutting out filler.

Speaking of the C2, awesome stuff again, and I’m really surprised they gave us a time limit draw. With that, Claudio VS Konosuke was awesome to the very last minute. It also helps feed this Death Riders VS Don Callis Family feud, can’t wait to see that be how 2026 starts. Fletcher and Pac each had a very good promo to call the other out, their match will be awesome, too. Bailey VS Knight was equally awesome, but logically it had a definitive winner, and that was a big win for Bailey to keep pace with the leaders. I’ve already kinda lost track, does AEW even have time for everyone to have all five of their matches? I feel like those Christmas episodes will have to be all C2 just to wrap things up.

Really good tag match from Kris & Jamie VS Sisters of Sin, though Skye could’ve let that initial scoop slam fest count for a two on the pin. Very good win for Kris & Jamie, and of course they go off to be a title match for World’s End now. Very good promo from Babes of Wrath and Timeless Love Bombs, but I don’t get the logic of this new 8 Woman Tag. Yes, Mercedes is greedy and wants more belts, but is she really going to get a tag title feud with Athena? Though, maybe a rematch of Babes VS Love Bombs is a bit too soon. Megan & Marina aren’t a bad choice, that’s literally a strong first defense for Willow & Harley.

Good promo from Ricochet, as well as the Dynamite Diamond Dozen (or at least most of them, I think that was actually about half a dozen). Ricochet making himself seem like the favorite might work out like the Casino Gauntlet, but there’s still the possibility MJF returns to keep the one thing he has in that Dynamite Diamond Ring. I said last time that they should honestly move on and let someone else be the Dynamite Diamond Ringbearer and I stand by that. But it should still be a Heel since they can use it as a knuckle duster, just like MJF. And honestly, a lot of this should also depend on who is meant to win at World’s End.

And great main event for the TNT Championship. Obviously the Death Riders tried to cheat, but great to see it backfire. Great win for Briscoe, great closing moment with The Conglomeration celebrating, even the reluctant Roddy. I wonder if Roddy turns on Conglomeration and goes after Briscoe for the TNT title on our way to Maximum Carnage. It probably depends on how long Kyle O’Reilly is going to be out, too, as he’d be a major part of that story.

My Score: 9/10
