WWE News: Another Former Superstar Coming To SmackDown 1000
In just over 24 hours, WWE’s SmackDown Live heads to the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. to celebrate its 1000th episode for a show that’s packed with appearances and returns.
Already slated for tomorrow night is the return of The Undertaker, Batista’s first WWE appearance in over four years to reunite with Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton as Evolution, plus appearances by Edge, Teddy Long, Vickie Guerrero, Kane, Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool. Not to mention, Rey Mysterio kicks off his new WWE run as he faces United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a World Cup Qualifier.
Today, it looks like another former Superstar has been added to the show as PWInsider is reporting they have confirmed James Ellsworth will be back for SmackDown 1000. Ellsworth is fresh off of a surprise appearance and subsequent loss to Eli Drake last night at IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory. Of course, he was last seen in WWE this Summer before being “fired” by SmackDown General Manager Paige.
