WWE News: Bobby Lashley Officially Replaces John Cena At Crown Jewel

Earlier today, it was reported that tonight’s episode of RAW would see WWE address the situation regarding John Cena refusing to compete at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia this Friday (check that out here).

The first match on Monday Night RAW this evening saw Finn Balor going one-on-one with Bobby Lashley and although Balor would win by disqualification after interference by Lio Rush, ‘The Man Of The Hour’ and Lashley would humiliate Finn and leave him laying. Rush would then check his phone to see a message before commercial, only for us to return to Lio and Lashley heading to the Trainer’s Room to meet Acting General Manager Baron Corbin.

‘The Lone Wolf’ would tell Lashley he was pleased with what he did to Finn after his own issues with Balor in the past, rewarding him with a spot in the World Cup at Crown Jewel and saying he “qualified”. When Lashley would question the number of spots remaining, Corbin would inform Bobby that he’s replacing someone who didn’t qualify, John Cena. Of course, this comes after it had been reported that Lashley was being discussed to be the replacement (see that story here).
