Following WWE’s Super Show-Down on October 6th, Monday Night RAW saw increased ratings on consecutive weeks for this first time since Summer with last week’s episode drawing a 2.548. With last night’s show being the follow-up to Evolution and final before Crown Jewel, could the trend continue?

The numbers for RAW are in and this week we go back to decreased ratings, dropping 3% from last week with a 2.471 for an episode headlined by the last encounter between D-Generation X and The Brothers Of Destruction before their match at Crown Jewel. Here’s the last four weeks of ratings for the red brand:

• October 8th: 2.373
• October 15th: 2.396
• October 22nd: 2.548
• October 29th: 2.471

Despite the ratings decrease, Monday Night RAW held its own in the Cable Top 150 Rankings for the 18-49 demographic, maintaining its fourth place finish. Here’s this week’s top five, which excludes the 9PM (6th) and 10PM (7th) hours of RAW:

1. Monday Night Football – ESPN – 3.54
2. SportsCenter (12AM hour) – ESPN – 1.34
3. Monday Night Kickoff – ESPN – 1.25
4. Monday Night RAW – USA Network – 0.96
5. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood – VH1 – 0.89

EA’s Take: Just as I’ve explained multiple times before, I’ll explain it once again…ratings hardly matter anymore and the share of the crucial 18-49 demographic means much more due to the varying ways people consume content. Nobody’s going to outdraw the NFL in that department, so much so that SportsCenter does better than most other programming on Mondays when you can catch the same episode for the next eleven hours after that. So for WWE to not only hold strong in this department, but even increase its numbers against Monday Night Football is nothing short of an achievement.
