WWE News: Two More Superstars Qualify For World Cup On SmackDown Live

Last night on RAW, we learned that John Cena would be representing the red brand in the World Cup Tournament taking place at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 2nd. Later in the broadcast, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, who has been on “vacation”, shockingly returned under the disguise of ‘The Conquistador’ to throw Baron Corbin out of a Battle Royal and secure his spot.

Tonight on SmackDown Live, two World Cup Qualifiers were scheduled as Jeff Hardy took on Samoa Joe and Randy Orton sqared off against Big Show. In the first match, Samoa Joe was still suffering greatly from the affects of his WWE Championship war with AJ Styles Saturday at Super Show-Down. While he still showed the fight we’ve grown accustom to seeing from Joe, it was a fairly easy victory for Hardy as Joe could not continue due to damage to his knee and the referee stopped the match:

In the main event, Big Show returned to the ring for the first time since September of last year. ‘The World’s Largest Athlete’ looked sharp after such a long layoff, but Randy Orton has been on a roll that Big Show just couldn’t stop. A quick thumb to the eye preceded an RKO and Orton would punch his ticket into the World Cup with four spots remaining:
