WWE News: Two Superstars Qualify For World Cup On Tonight’s RAW

Despite all of the talk surrounding the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel event, all things are still a go for the event on Friday, November 2nd from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which will feature the inaugural WWE World Cup tournament.

Last week, we saw John Cena and Kurt Angle added to the field on Monday Night RAW, while Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton both won qualifying matches the following night on SmackDown Live. With four spots taken up, that means only four spots were remaining and tonight’s episode of RAW was set for two more qualifying matches.

In the opening contest, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins faced off with one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions, Drew McIntyre. ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ has been on an absolute roll for months, presenting a tall task both literally and figuratively for ‘The Kingslayer’. Of course, Dolph Ziggler would insert himself into the match, leading to the arrival of Dean Ambrose to even the odds and aid Rollins in picking up a Count-Out victory.

With Rollins solidifying his spot, Dean Ambrose took aim at reserving his ticket to the World Cup as he took on the other half of the RAW Tag Champs, Dolph Ziggler. Much like Ziggler did for him earlier in the night, Drew McIntyre decided to try and aid ‘The Show Off’, leading to Seth Rollins looking to thwart his effort. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out in Dean’s favor and after Ambrose pushed ‘The Kingslayer’ off of him, he would slide back into the ring and walk into a Superkick to send Ziggler onto the World Cup.
