WWE Provides Storyline Injury Update On Kevin Owens Following RAW

Last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW from Chicago, Illinois certainly didn’t give us any shortage of news coming out of the episode.

The reported match between D-Generation X and The Brothers Of Destruction for Crown Jewel has now been made official, John Cena was announced for the World Cup tournament, Kurt Angle made a surprise return to earn his spot in the World Cup, plus The Bella Twins ambushed their “friend” Ronda Rousey and two singles matches at Evolution have now been turned into a tag match when Lita and Trish Stratus team up to face Mickie James and Alexa Bliss.

On top of that, Bobby Lashley went one-on-one with Kevin Owens in a match that seemingly saw the WWE go for a “double turn” as the crowd turned on Lashley in support of ‘The Prize Fighter’. This not only continued after the match, but was amplified after Lashley viciously attacked Owens by targeting his knees. WWE has since provided the following injury update on KO, which is of course just storyline:

Bobby Lashley injures Kevin Owens

The powerhouse Bobby Lashley takes on Kevin Owens, two nights after he and John Cena defeated KO and Elias at WWE Super Show-Down.

Kevin Owens sustained injuries to both knees when Bobby Lashley viciously wrapped Owens’ legs around a turnbuckle after their match, WWE.com can confirm.

Owens will undergo further evaluation tomorrow to determine the full extent of the damage.
