IMPACT News: Trial Date For Jeff Jarrett Lawsuit Set In 2020

A trial date for Jeff Jarrett’s lawsuit against IMPACT Wrestling owner Anthem Sports has been set!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard any kind of news regarding WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Entertainment’s lawsuit against the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling, Anthem Sports.

At last word, Anthem had filed for an extension that Jarrett’s legal team had already agreed to, giving Anthem more time to file a formal response to the lawsuit (check that out here).

Of course, we first learned that Jarrett and GFE were suing Anthem back in August, alleging copyright infringement and federal trademark infringement of Jarrett’s name, on top of not coming through with an agreed upon position as Chief Creative Officer for Jarrett after the relationship fell apart in October 2017 (see the full story here).

Today, PWInsider has reported that a trial date has finally officially been set and we’ll have to wait quite some time as it will not begin until June 30th, 2020. Currently, Global Force Entertainment has been working in partnership with FITE.TV to stream professional wrestling events (see that original announcement here).
