Jordan Fox’s BLOG – Hitting the towns
Disclaimer – Sometimes you might wonder what the point of the stories are… I’ll be honest, sometimes there isn’t going to be any meaning to what I’m blogging. I just simply want to share these really cool moments I get to experience. I get to experience these wonderful moments because I work in “The Business.” I work in wrestling, that might not mean much to a non fan, but to wrestling fans, being a full time wrestling employee, like I am, is the Holy Grail.
The wrestling business is my full time job, my “shoot” job & this blog details the fun I experience in our wacky world of wrestling… ENJOY!
Let’s get right to it. I worked on 10/27 for Wrestling For a Cause (WFC) in Claremore Oklahoma at the Claremore VFW.
I started by getting there super early to help set up the ring. I have never set up their/our ring there before so I wanted to get there & learn. It wasn’t much different than other rings I have learned to put up since being in “The Business” but there are some small differences between each ring so that’s why I always get to shows early so i can help with everything.
WFC is a unique promotion in that they don’t pay wrestlers (there are exceptions to the rule if someone has traveled from far away and needs gas money, for instance.) Instead, the majority of profits go to either a child who has been diagnosed with cancer or for cancer research.
I don’t want to get into the details too much in regards to talking about WFC’s money because for 1, I don’t know the exact details & I’m not just going to make up shit to sound smart & 2 I’m going to do a profile on WFC & it’s owner, Tim Rockwell.
When Tim & I first met & it was decided that I was going to work for him, the first thing I told him was I was NOT expecting any kind of compensation. I knew what he was trying to do with raising money for kids with cancer & I didn’t want to disrupt that in anyway. So, instead I asked him if he’d just let me work in exchange for knowledge. Knowledge about everything that has to do with wrestling.
Now, when I say I want to learn “everything that has to do with wrestling” I mean “EVERYTHING.” Not just everything that happens in the ring or in front of the fans, I truly mean EVERYTHING. Backstage stuff, booking stuff, storyline stuff, everything.
I want to know everything about wrestling for a couple different reasons.
Reason 1 – I think it will make me a better commentator.
Everyone who reads the blog knows that my main goal is to be a color commentator full time for a promotion on tv.
To do that, I want to have a successful career as a wrestler on the Indy scene so that I can be that color commentator who “speaks from experience.”
I want to be able to say things like “I know what it’s like to be a champion, when i was the WFC HomeTown Heroes Champion, I always had a target on my back.”
I think being able to speak from experience will really help me in setting myself apart from other color commentators.
Reason 2 – I’d like to own a building in McAlester with a ring in it & I could host promotions in it.
I think it would be really cool if I had a building with a nice ring in it & I could have promotions like WFC & HOW come in & do local shows.
Obviously though, to do that I would need to have a vast knowledge of wrestling to be able to help run those shows.
Anyway, that’s just me thinking outside the box. Just me thinking ahead. Do y’all ever do that? Catch yourself thinking way far in advance about stuff like that, for no particular reason at all?
The 10/27 WFC show was our Halloween show. It was full of wrestlers dressed up in costumes, including JD dressed up as Hulk Hogan and by friend and fellow pro wrestling trainee Derek Teter dressed up as Sting.
I got home at 1230am that night & went right to bed so I could get up at 6am to make my way down to Royse City Texas (just North East of Dallas) for Heroes of Wrestling.
If you don’t know, Heroes is where I am the Color Commentator. Prior to the 28th I had worked 2 shows on commentator for our weekly Facebook Live (that’s being picked up by Dish Network BTW) and I had gotten some feedback from multiple people about my performance. Most people said the same thing – “I love WHAT you are saying, I just hate HOW you are saying it.”
What they were saying is that my delivery was shit lol. That might of offended a lot of people but I became an adult in the US Army Infantry, so most things don’t offend me. In fact, I welcome the directness, it’s something that I sometimes think we don’t get enough of in todays world.
But I needed to find a fix to what my problem was. Now, I knew what the problem was, I was trying to just be a normal color guy (think Colt Cabana for ROH) when everyone else wanted a wild, loud maybe even obnoxious color guy (think Jerry The King Lawler when he was with Jim Ross in the Attitude Era.)
With everyone being so direct, it was an easy fix. (See why i like directness? lol) But, I’ll be honest, even with me knowing what they wanted and it being an easy fix, I was still nervous about stepping out of my comfort zone, but at the same time I was excited because my character as a whole will be a bit outside my comfort zone. So this was a great learning situation and also a bit of training for me (for when I start being my character full time.)
I went all out lol. I was loud, I talked too much, I talked shit, I ewww’d and ahhhh’d and described everything a little too loud, a little heelish even. AND IT WORKED!
At the intermission break, I nervously asked my Play by Play partner (who also happens to be the owner of the promotion (AKA My BOSS!) if what I had just done for the first 4 matches was more to what he wanted me to be like.
He replied with “Oh yeah man, you killed it.”
I KILLED IT!!! HOW BOUT THAT, HUH??
I couldn’t of been more happy, I still can’t! It was a ton of fun, I got out of my comfort zone, I got practice on how I want my character to sound, act & react AND it was good enough to get praise from a guy that has been doing commentary for the better part of 20 years.
The only shitty part about the whole thing is that we still have another week or two before those matches will air. lol But I guess people will just have to put up with my straight lace color commentary for another few weeks.
I’m gonna try to put out another blog post this week about how my actual pro wrestling training is going (I’m still working to get in the ring as fast as I can.) But for now I wanted to limit this post to about the two awesome shows that I got to work on the 27th & 28th.
I hope everyone is still enjoying the content I’m putting out. I’m trying to be more artistic in every avenue of my life which isn’t always easy for someone who grew up in a household that didn’t foster feelings of individualism. So, if something I put out sucks, or needs to just outright needs to be “better” please feel free to write in & let me know your thoughts. Like i said earlier in this post, I love the directness.

Chris King: The Wyatt Sicks’ Wasted Potential By WWE
Chris King takes a look at the WWE and their wasted potential of Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks faction.
Chris King takes a look at the WWE and their wasted potential of Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks faction.
It’s that time of the year again, folks; it’s unfortunate and downright awful that so many WWE superstars got released today. I’m not going to list all of them, but I am going to talk about one of my favorite factions,
The Wyatt Sicks. Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Erik Rowan, and Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy) were something special. After Bo’s brother Bray Wyatt’s tragic passing, WWE felt like there was a hole that needed to be filled. Wyatt was one of the most creative and brilliant characters, and Bo would be taking over his brother’s concept and bringing it to life. In 2024, at the end of an incredible documentary highlighting Wyatt’s career and struggles, Bo appeared on the screen portrayed as Uncle Howdy. The last time Uncle Howdy was seen on-screen was at the 2023 Royal Rumble, where Wyatt defeated LA Knight in a Pitch Black Match. Howdy jumped off a structure onto Knight.
This post-credit scene sparked so much speculation and excitement that Wyatt’s brother would carry on his legacy and possibly debut the faction that was Wyatt’s concept. On the June 17th episode of Monday Night Raw, The Wyatt Sicks made their dramatic debut ,destroying the backstage area as well as “murdering” Chad Gable. It was such an iconic arrival for Howdy as he made his menacing walk from the back into the audience who were chanting “Holy Shit.” The Sicks and American Made (Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers) battled for months, with The Sicks being victorious. On the September 9th episode of Raw, The Sicks defeated them, with Howdy getting the win with Sister Abigail.
The following year, The Sicks would move over to Friday Night SmackDown, and it seemed like WWE had a plan in place. They would win the tag team championships from The Street Profits and start to look dominant. Now, what should have happened next is Howdy should have won the United States title. The Sicks could have held all the gold over on the blue brand, but it never happened. The Sicks entered into a never-ending feud with The MFT’s (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga.) It started off exciting, and the WWE Universe was red-hot for their interactions.
After months of repetitive matches and The MFT’s stealing their lantern, the feud grew tiresome and boring. Even Tama asked Solo why they are still holding onto the lantern, as it was destroying them as a whole. Finally on the SmackDown before Mania, Tama
gave the lantern back to Howdy against Solo’s wishes. Please explain to me why both factions fought almost every single week instead of just having one final blowoff match at WrestleMania.
It should have been either a massive street fight or a falls count anywhere match on the grandest stage of them all. Instead, it turned into a meaningless week-after-week extravaganza that benefited no one. The MFTs won the rivalry, and The Sicks don’t even work for WWE anymore. This was the same criminalized creative process that Wyatt dealt with during his first run in the company.
We’ll never know how much of a dangerous force The Wyatt Sicks could have been in the WWE. For all their careers’ sake, I hope they stay far away from the company for as long as possible. Every superstar that was cut deserves better!

Chris King: Bloodline Saga: Is This the Right Call For WWE?
Chris King questions the WWE’s logic in setting up Jacob Fatu as the next challenger for World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns
Chris King questions the WWE’s logic in setting up Jacob Fatu as the next challenger for World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is once again World Heavyweight Champion after his dominant win over CM Punk at WrestleMania 42. On the following night on Monday Night Raw, The OG Bloodline came back together as a well-oiled machine as The Usos stood side by side with Roman. With the WWE Universe asking who would be the first to challenge “The Tribal Chief,” Jacob Fatu shocked the world by answering the call.
Fatu is running hot after his impressive win over Drew McIntyre and feels like he is ready to become the new world champion. This bloodline segment ended Raw, and it picked right back up on SmackDown with even Solo Sikoa and the MFTs involved. This is now two shows that have been centered around The Bloodline saga, and it’s made me question whether or not WWE should be retelling this story.
The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Solo Sikoa) ran WWE for over four years as Reigns’ henchmen, doing his dirty work to retain his title. Even though Roman has declared he doesn’t want Jey and Jimmy to serve him, it sure seems like WWE are spinning their wheels. Fatu could add a whole new chapter into the story, even if he’s not able to beat Roman at Backlash. “The Samoan Werewolf” could be forced to do the same thing as Jey did all those years ago and fall in line.
In my opinion, I feel like Fatu should be challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship because that’s a title I feel like he should win. I understand standing up to your blood and trying to prove you’re the best, but I don’t think this is the right move. It feels like 2022 all over again, as The Bloodline is the central focus on both shows. If Fatu doesn’t win, what happens to all his momentum he’s been building over the last two years?
Why did WWE make this the best choice for storyline purposes? Why couldn’t creative have come up with a different challenger for Roman? There are so many other superstars that could challenge The Tribal Chief, such as Rusev, Bron Breakker, Gunther, or even a returning Sheamus.
I just can’t help but question WWE’s logic here, and it kind of reminds me of all the times The Shield reunited. Could WWE be pushing the same storyline too many times here? Could the WWE Universe get tired of this rinse and repeat cycle of The Bloodline Saga?
Are we about to see all the weekly episodes solely focused on The Bloodline again? Will it be cinema… Yes. Is there still money in The Bloodline… Yes. Was it the right call? That’s to be determined!
