The Many Problems Of WWE

WWE is right now in a solid economical position with great TV deals from Fox and NBC, to the controversial deal they have with Saudi Arabia. Despite all this economic growth, WWE has a lot of problems and issues they like to pretend don’t exist. Since they have decided to ignore these problems, the rise of NJPW/ROH has been possible and more eyes are turning to this interesting product that is the opposing WWE.

WWE’s creative is one of the biggest problems they are currently facing in all major brands (RAW and SmackDown) Vince McMahon has his input on. WWE currently has their best roster ever but creatively things are not doing that well. RAW is in a streak of mediocre episodes with the best episodes being average at best. SmackDown has been the superior show, no questions asked, but the viewership doesn’t reflect this reality, which is a shame because SmackDown is doing some good stuff in the creative department for the most part of 2018.

Women’s Division

A big thing WWE likes to do is to ignore the audience they work for despite Stephanie McMahon saying the do. Let’s take the current WWE SmackDown women’s champion Becky Lynch, the fans will not boo her because they feel (and it’s true) she was being overlooked by WWE creative and in the eyes of the fans she the biggest babyface in the company, but WWE thinks otherwise. During the promo package before the classic Becky and Charlotte had in Evolution, WWE changed the cheers Becky had in a segment to boos. This is just and example of WWE refusing to listen to the fans for once. This particular case I like to call it the reverse Roman Reigns.

Lack Of Importance For Championships

Like I mention in a previous article, all the titles in WWE (excluding NXT) are not being booked right for the most part and the biggest example of this case is the Universal Title. That, in my opinion, is cursed to be the worst world title in WWE history and that includes the WWE’s version of the ECW championship. Brock Lesnar holding that title again doesn’t help anyone except Brock’s wallet.

Bloated Roster

Another problem that I have addressed in the past is WWE’s roster being too big (which is a good problem to have specially since they have a talented roster) and wrestlers like Tyler Breeze, Chad Gable and other talented wrestlers get lost in the shuffle and they get barely have any TV and can’t show their talent on the ring.

As we can see WWE has a lot of problems on their plate they like to ignore and we haven’t even looked into the problems both now and in the future that WWE will have because of  the 10 year deal with Saudi Arabia will cause to them and we are seeing some of the effects of being with them in this partnership by looking at the drop in the price of the WWE stock it currently has because of the recent events that happened last October.
