WWE News: Change Made To SmackDown Live Men’s Survivor Series Team

A change was made to the SmackDown Live Men’s Survivor Series squad!

After the brawl between WWE Champion AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan led to Daniel losing his spot on the SmackDown Live Men’s Survivor Series team in exchange for a WWE Title match, a replacement needed to be named (check out Mitchell’s SmackDown Live Report for full results).

After Jeff Hardy defeated Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas with his impressive Swanton Bomb, we would see SmackDown Live General Manger Paige in the locker room with The Miz, Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe, who will join Shane McMahon on Sunday to face Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley from RAW. Paige informed Miz that Bryan was now off of their team, that he was now the sole captain of the team and therefore needed to select Bryan’s replacement.

‘The A-Lister’ would speak about Hardy’s victory, informing Paige that ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ was his choice to take Bryan’s spot. However, Miz also would try to get Rey Mysterio off of the team, claiming he needed the “stench” of Bryan’s pick to be gone. Paige would give him the chance to get rid of Mysterio if he could defeat him in a match. Unfortunately for The Miz, he would briefly lose focus out of frustration during the match, leading to Rey stealing a win.
