WWE News: How Becky Lynch Injury Changed View Of Nia Jax

After injuring Becky Lynch on RAW, it looks like Nia Jax has earned a bad reputation!

Saying that the WWE Universe is disappointed that SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will not be able to compete against RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey this Sunday at Survivor Series would probably be like saying the New York Yankees have a big budget right now.

Although Charlotte Flair is certainly a more than suitable replacement for ‘The Lass Kicker’, the brief build to a Lynch/Rousey clash was arguably the most anticipated match for Sunday’s event. Unfortunately, an errant shot this past Monday on RAW from Nia Jax to Becky caused what WWE called on SmackDown Live a “broken face and severe concussion”.

This is not the first time that ‘The Irresistible Force’ Nia Jax has hurt another performer and according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the usual sentiment of “accidents happen” or “it’s not ballet” was changed very quickly with regards to Nia. Sapp reports that at least behind-the-scenes over on the SmackDown Live side of things, the feeling is that Jax is careless in the ring.

It should be reiterated that this only pertains to the SmackDown Live side and there was no mention of whether that sentiment is the same over on Monday Night RAW or with WWE’s office. Of course, Nia is after all the number one contender for Rousey’s title after winning the Battle Royal at Evolution and the belief is she will get her title shot at TLC on December 16th.

EA’s Take: Just my personal opinion, but I think it’s fresh and people over on the blue brand are pissed because their hottest act is hurt. It doesn’t make much sense to me for Nia to have heat over an accident (because regardless of what you think, there’s a zero percent chance it was done on purpose) after we just saw a similar case recently with Brie Bella injuring Liv Morgan. Things happen, especially in a scenario like we had on Monday where it’s just complete chaos and it could have happened to anybody.
