The very latest on Alexa Bliss’ injuries and in-ring future with WWE!

Although she’s still been present and will be captaining the RAW Women’s Survivor Series team this Sunday (see who she selected to represent RAW here), there are no plans for Alexa Bliss to be back in the ring in the near future.

After suffering multiple concussions, there were rumors of Alexa being forced into retirement that she quickly squashed via Twitter this weekend. However, her status hasn’t looked good considering her recent on-screen role on Monday nights and it looks like her in-ring future could be in jeopardy. On the recent PWInsider Elite audio, Mike Johnson addressed the company’s current stance on Bliss, stating that there is “legitimate concern”.

While it was noted that Alexa will remain on television in some capacity as WWE will be keeping her “in the mix” without having to do anything physical moving forward. As for her prospects of a return, there will be no rushing her back, as the company is said to be worried about her having multiple concussions in such a short period of time. Therefore, every precaution possible will be taken with Alexa until she finally receives medical clearance.

EA’s Take: So we could be looking at something similar to a Daniel Bryan situation here where if she’s not passing her tests or if the company no longer trusts her to hold up, then she will be finished. Hell, it’s very possible she gets cleared, comes back and gets concussed in her first match back, thus finishing her career. Concussions are just that finicky, so if she’s able to come back then it looks to me like she will already be on “borrowed time” so-to-speak. It’s not like we haven’t seen evidence of like things in the past, just look at what happened to Paige. I realize that wasn’t a concussion, but once you have a history of them it’s not much different than a neck issue when it comes to how susceptible to getting injured again you are.
