WWE News: SmackDown Live Viewership Up, Back Up To #1 Ranking (11/27/18)
How did this week’s WWE SmackDown Live do in the ratings?
Much like this week’s edition of RAW (see the red brand’s ratings this week), last week SmackDown Live saw a decrease in viewership and dropped in the Cable Top 150 Rankings after a jump up the week prior. With RAW struggling this week, would the same be true for the blue brand?
Although this week’s numbers have been delayed due to Thanksgiving last week, Tuesday’s ratings are in and SmackDown Live goes back up with a 2.264, an increase of 5.3%. Here’s a peek at the last four weeks of numers for the blue brand:
- November 6th: 2.088
- November 13th: 2.312
- November 20th: 2.150
- November 27th: 2.264
After spending a week at the number two spot, SmackDown Live was also able to regain its typical number one position in the Cable Top 150 Rankings for the 18-49 demographic. This is what this week’s top five looks like:
- SmackDown Live – USA Network – 0.81
- The Curse Of Oak Island – History – 0.76
- Below Deck – Bravo – 0.66
- College Basketball – ESPN – 0.60
- The Challenge: Reckoning Reunion – MTV – 0.45
EA’s Take: Like I said last week, I detest the NCAA primarily because of how crooked they are in taking advantage of their “student athletes”, so I’m not really aware of what the matchups was compared to this week’s. Obviously, it wasn’t anything big since they couldn’t take SmackDown Live out of their number one spot in the rankings again. I don’t believe I’ll get any argument on the blue brand being vastly better than RAW again this week, but I also laugh because it seems like people were calling for Road Dogg to get canned not too long ago. Talk about “What have you done for me lately?”!
