WWE News: Taped RAW Rating Decreases, Drops To Fifth In Rankings (11/5/18)

After two straight weeks that finally saw WWE’s Monday Night RAW with an increase in ratings, last week those numbers were back down with stiff competition from the NFL now a weekly thing. With last night’s episode being taped in the United Kingdom, did the red brand have any chance to see an increase this week?

The numbers for last night are in and it was close, but there was another slight decrease in the ratings to a 2.441, down 1.2% from last week. Here’s a peek at the last four weeks worth of ratings for Monday Night RAW:

• October 15th: 2.396
• October 22nd: 2.548
• October 29th: 2.471
• November 5th: 2.441

Despite the ratings not being able to maintain through the Fall season, that hasn’t been the case when it comes to the Cable Top 150 Rankings in the 18-49 demographic. While this week’s RAW took a dip down from last week to number five in the rankings, their share of the demographic remains strong. Here’s last night’s top five (RAW’s 9PM hour ranked 6th, 10PM hour 7th):

1. Monday Night Football – ESPN – 3.92
2. Monday Night Kickoff – ESPN – 1.70
3. SportsCenter (12AM Hour) – ESPN – 1.22
4. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood – VH1 – 1.07
5. Monday Night RAW (8PM Hour) – 0.92

EA’s Take: Having a taped episode of Monday Night RAW is never going to help your ratings up against anything, let alone Monday Night Football, which is why we also see Love & Hip Hop beat them out in the Cable Top 150 Rankings for the first time in weeks. Hell, if it wasn’t part of my job, I would have just watched Monday Night Football instead of RAW since I had covered the spoilers!
