WWE News: Zelina Vega Being Given Time Off For Possible Concussion

After competing in the Battle Royal for a future championship match back at Evolution on October 28th, fans who attended this weekend’s SmackDown Live Events in Cardiff, Wales (go here for results) and Aberdeen, Scotland (see those results here) didn’t get to see WWE Superstar Zelina Vega even though Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas was in action.

This of course comes after Zelina was absent from last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, although Almas didn’t appear either, so nothing was thought of it until she missed the weekend’s Live Events. With tonight’s edition of the blue brand being taped in Manchester, England, the show has already completed before hitting the air at 8PM EST on the USA Network and again Zelina did not appear on the show despite Andrade competing (for spoilers go here).

According to Mike Johnson on PWInsider Elite audio, ‘Mighty Minx’ (as she’s known on Xavier Woods’ Up Up Down Down) is currently off of events after possibly suffering a concussion. It’s being said that there was a concern Zelina was concussed when she was eliminated from the Battle Royal at Evolution and as a precaution, the company decided to give her some rest.

It should be noted that it’s not confirmed she is dealing with a concussion and at this time, a timetable for her return to the road is unknown. Stick with The Chairshot for updates as they become available.
