As we noted earlier, WWE Superstar Braun Strowman is reportedly dealing with multiple knee issues, but is working through it due to the amount of injuries currently plaguing the Monday Night RAW roster (read that here).

With Braun said to be banged up, Bobby Lashley also reportedly working with a shoulder injury (find that story here), Alexa Bliss still dealing with a concussion, Roman Reigns on a leave of absence, Sami Zayn still laid up and Kevin Owens recently having two knee surgeries, the red brand is certainly ailing right now.

On top of all of that, Dave Meltzer is reporting on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that ‘The Modern Day Maharaja’ Jinder Mahal is also battling through an injury, as it’s being said he currently has a shoulder issue. Much like with Strowman, there’s no word on the exact nature of the injury or if he will need to take some time off to recover.

This comes after a member of Jinder’s “troop” just recently returned from a long injury layoff, as Samir Singh returned to his brother Sunil’s side to flank Mahal back on October 15th.

EA’s Take: It might not seem like it would be a big deal should Jinder be injured because he hasn’t done anything of importance since being moved to RAW back in April. However, here’s how I see it…with so many other injuries affecting RAW, Jinder is a bit of a “fail safe”, for lack of a better term. He’s a guy that because of his past exploits as a WWE Champion, can be utilized at the top of the card when the company is in need. For example, what if Braun AND Lashley both had to be put on the shelf? That would leave you with basically Ambrose, Rollins, McIntyre and Ziggler as your top guys. Jinder would be a Superstar who can be elevated to help fill out a spot because of his accolades. Is it an option fans would like? Of course not, but the keyword there is “option”. That’s what Jinder is.
