Wendi Richter Says Fabulous Moolah ‘Used Me’ On Prime Time With Sean Mooney
WWE Hall Of Famer Wendi Richter was the latest guest on Prime Time with Sean Mooney!
Heading into WrestleMania 34 this past April, the announcement by the WWE of a Women’s Battle Royal named after Hall Of Famer The Fabulous Moolah got fans in an uproar as stories of Moolah’s “sorted” past came to light before the company ultimately dropped the name, instead simply calling it the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
On an all new Prime Time with Sean Mooney, WWE Hall Of Famer Wendi Richter was the guest and discussed a number of topics, including her own experiences with Moolah, saying that years of talk about her being helped into the business by ‘The Fabulous One’ isn’t exactly the case:
“It was never good [her relationship with Moolah]. She didn’t really help me get in the business, she used me. Kinda like Elvis Presley’s manager. She got twenty-five percent of my pay and there was times I didn’t even know what I got paid. She would just cut me a check and so I had to stop that. Once I started wrestling, the promoters were asking for me, she didn’t promote me. There was times they said they tried to get me and she told I was booked and I wasn’t. I think she was…she was a very hateful person and I’ve never been around anyone that is as hateful and spoke so coarsely, I mean she was worse than a sailor. I’ve never heard anyone cuss and her cuss combinations and just the way she talked about people, I’d never been around that and I wasn’t around it very long ’cause that’s the opposite of what I want to surround with. I’m a positive…I look forward to things and I try to stay kind to people or don’t say anything.”

EA’s Take: I don’t think any of this is really surprising and is probably some of the tamer comments on Moolah you’ll find. Here’s what people need to understand…Moolah was one tough, old bird. She came up in the business during a time when it was literally dominated by males and she scratched, clawed, stole…she did what she had to do to survive. I’m not justifying any illegal activities, but the woman lived a tough life to say the least. Hell, there are crazy stories about Mae Young too, but I don’t hear anyone calling for the yearly tournament to be renamed. If you really want a great perspective on Moolah, there are some great insights by Jim Cornette on his podcast.

TNA Impact on AMC Drops to 175,000 Viewers, 0.03 18-49 Rating Amid Heavy Sports Competition
TNA Thursday Night Impact averaged 175,000 viewers on AMC last week, a 17.5% decline from the previous week’s 212,000 and the lowest audience since January 22. The show posted a 0.03 rating in the key 18-49 demo, down 25% and matching its lowest demo figure on AMC since the move.
The drop coincided with stiff competition — Impact ran opposite the NFL Draft (simulcast on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network) as well as NHL and NBA playoff coverage, leaving the program tied for 70th on the primetime cable charts. Versus the prior 10-week average (0.04 rating and 240,300 viewers), last week’s show fell 25% in the demo and 27.2% in overall viewers.

Nick Hogan Open to Pursuing In-Ring Career After Viewing Hulk Hogan: Real American
Nick Hogan told the Bonus Edition of the 83 Weeks podcast that after watching the final version of Hulk Hogan: Real American he’s more open than ever to stepping into the ring if the opportunity presents itself. Hogan said he’s been knocking off ring rust, is in good shape and “would absolutely welcome” the chance to pursue an in‑ring career, and noted the docuseries — which premiered on Netflix on April 22, 2026 — helped clarify his father’s legacy.
He also praised the series for pulling back the curtain on the many facets of Hulk Hogan, from character work to charitable efforts, saying it showed how dynamic a person his father is. Nick added that the long-discussed Chris Hemsworth biopic from 2019 remains a possibility despite delays, as the documentary continues to renew interest in Hogan’s story.
