WWE News: Latest On Possible Injury To Dakota Kai Over The Weekend

An update on the possible injury to NXT’s Dakota Kai!

Over the weekend, the WWE NXT brand was in two separate parts of the United States for Live Events as the majority of the roster’s top talent was off to the midwest while another portion of the Superstars stayed back in Florida for shows.

Friday night, the event outside of Florida took place in Green Bay, Wisconsin and featured a pretty quality card for a non-televised show (check out the results here). Among the action on that evening was a 6-Woman Tag Team Match as NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler partnered with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir to take on Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane. The team of Candice, Dakota and Kairi would pick up the victory, but unfortunately they didn’t all come away from the match unscathed.

During the contest, Dakota appeared to have injured her leg and after being checked on by the referee, the “X” symbol to signify an injury appeared and the match continued without her. There had been no updates on Dakota’s status since, but there has now been some word that is not good news.

According to F4WOnline, Dakota has undergone an MRI and while the exact details on any possible damage are yet to be revealed, it’s being said that the belief is she has suffered a torn ACL. Of course if this is in fact the case, Dakota would be looking at anywhere from 6-10 months on the shelf barring setbacks. The Chairshot will provide further updates as they become available.
