The SmackDown Tag Titles will be defended at WWE TLC!

With just over two weeks remaining until the WWE’s final pay-per-view event of the year, TLC, the company continues to make more matches official for the December 16th show as we saw last night with the addition of Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre and Elias vs. Bobby Lashley (check that out here).

While it’s been noted that those two matches could be morphed together with a third due to Braun Strowman’s recent surgery (see that story here), that still remains to be seen. One match that will most likely not be changing though is the newly announced SmackDown Tag Team Championship which made official for TLC last night by WWE.

After picking up a big victory over the champions on SmackDown Live last week, The Usos will join The New Day as the challengers when The Bar defends their titles in a Triple Threat Match:

Three of the most dominant tag teams in recent history will collide at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs as The Bar defends the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The New Day and The Usos in a Triple Threat Match. These three teams each have five Tag Title reigns to their names, making them some of the most accomplished squads to compete in WWE. 

Sheamus & Cesaro captured the SmackDown Tag Titles on SmackDown 1000 by defeating The New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods. Since Survivor Series, though, the reigning champions have hit a snag, with non-title losses to both The New Day and The Usos. Plus, under the Triple Threat Match stipulation, pressure will be even higher on The Bar, considering they do not need to be involved in the decision to lose the titles.
