The Worst Of WWE In 2018

2018 has been a bitter sweet year for the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Terrible booking decisions and other areas made a negative impact on WWE’s 2018. These bad decisions are some of the biggest reasons WWE’s ratings are seeing low for most of the year.

The Booking of the Tag Division

WWE’s tag division in 2018 suffered a lot of terrible of booking decisions especially the tag division of RAW. The terrible decision of booking a 10-year-old boy and Braun Strowman was the clear sign 2018 was going to be a terrible year for tag team wrestling in WWE. SmackDown’s tag division had better booking with no doubt, but it only featured four teams competing for the titles. Other terrible decision with the tag division were the booking of Revival and The B Team being RAW tag team champions. This bad booking was one of the main reasons The Young Bucks are not considering WWE in 2019.

Roman Reigns

To start, I hope Roman recovers from his leukemia. Looking to Roman’s booking in 2018 we saw the same flaws we saw in previous years. Roman main eventing WrestleMania for the forth year in a row in another terrible main event made things worse for him. Terrible feuds with Brock Lesnar and the War Dogs ( Ziggler,Strowman and McIntyre) were hard to watch. WWE sacrificed every title of RAW and their biggest babyface in RAW (Strowman) for the sake to get Roman Over and failing once again on getting him cheered.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar being Universal champion is the worst thing that could ever happen to a world title in the history of wrestling. At this point Brock being champion is a bizarre joke that Vince is playing on every person who watches WWE programming. I hope in 2019 Brock goes to UFC and leaves WWE.

Saudi Arabia

WWE and Saudi Arabia was a controversial partnership from the beginning. WWE considers themselves as a progressive promotion in terms of women and the LGBTQ community but when WWE had the chance to throw that ‘’message’’ for big amounts of money they took it. WWE doing ads saying Saudi Arabia is ‘’progressive country’’ is one of the worst things they have ever done.  

Most of the Booking of the Women’s Division

Before the rise of ‘’The Man’’ Becky Lynch, 2018 seem as another average to mediocre year for women’s wrestling in WWE.  The booking of Asuka after her lose to Charlotte at WrestleMania was hard to watch. Carmella’s run as champion was one of the worst things to ever happen to the SmackDown Women’s championship and let’s not forget Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax anti-bullying feud, with terrible segments, promos and two of the worst matches of 2018.

The Booking of the United States and Intercontinental Championships

The secondary titles of WWE had another terrible year. Except for Seth’s first reign with the title, the intercontinental championship had a mediocre year despite being the championship that appears everyday and was lost in the shuffle for most of 2018. The US title had it worse, all the champions this belt had some form of terrible booking and the title wouldn’t even appear on TV for a lot of shows and would not even have a feud to be featured in for months.
