Mae Young Classic Competitor Reportedly Chooses WWE Over AEW

WWE is reportedly signing a Mae Young Classic competitor!

Although All Elite Wrestling is still in its very early infancy, the company is already seeing tremendous support from fans, some of whom are hoping the promotion will become competition for the WWE.

With the two companies already competing for talent and AEW already scoring by signing Chris Jericho and PAC among others, there is one independent star who reportedly has chosen to sign with the WWE over the upstart All Elite Wrestling.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Stardom’s Viper, also known as Piper Niven, was being pursued AEW, but will be signing soon with WWE. Of course, Viper competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017, losing to Toni Storm in the third round of the tournament.

The 27-year old, 10-year veteran from Scotland has also competed for Insane Championship Wrestling where she is a two-time ICW Women’s Champion. She has also been in the ring for the revived World Of Sport Wrestling, but as mentioned has been seen a lot in Japan’s Stardom where she is the current Stardom World Association Champion and previously was an Artist Of Stardom Champion with HZK and current NXT Superstar Io Shirai.

While it can’t be confirmed, it’s strongly believed that she will be joining the NXT UK brand.
