MLW News: Major League Wrestling Signs Two Independent Stars

MLW has added two more independent stars to its roster!

With the wrestling world continuing to change and multiple promotions here in the United States now being in on the services of free agents and independent stars alike, Major League Wrestling has just made a couple of additions to its roster.

According to PWInsider, the man we’ve begun to see vignettes for, Mance Warner, has signed a contract with the promotion. The 30-year old, relative upstart is just under four years into the business and is currently the Combat Zone Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. However, he has really made a name for himself over the past year, earning praise from fans and legends in the business such as Tommy Dreamer.

The other signing for Major League Wrestling is a veteran, The Almighty Sheik, also known as The Sheik II and formerly known as Joey Machete. The 225-pound, 44-year old began his career in 1998 and has worked in many independents across the US including Full Impact Pro, Pacific Coast Wrestling (PCW), also competing across the globe with stints in Puerto Rico and Japan’s Pro Wrestling Zero1.

Sheik would make his way into NWA territories in 2009, making his debut by attacking current Ring Of Honor star Silas Young as part of NWA Midwest. Among The Almighty Sheik’s accolades, he is a former NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, defeating Colt Cabana for the title in 2011 to become the 44th recognized holder of the title in its history.
