NJPW Star Reportedly Signs New Three Year Deal, KUSHIDA Going To WWE?

Juice Robinson has reportedly re-signed and more on KUSHIDA’s NJPW departure!

Fresh off the news last night that New Japan Pro Wrestling will be losing Kenny Omega and KUSHIDA (see the story here), which of course comes after the promotion lost Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page and The Young Bucks, it looks like the company has been able to keep one of their young stars.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the new IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson has re-signed with New Japan on what is said to be a three year contract. Obviously, Robinson used to be with WWE’s NXT under the name CJ Parker and while Meltzer notes that there was interest on WWE’s part in bringing him back, there reportedly were no discussions between the company and Juice.

On top of that, Meltzer also adds that All Elite Wrestling wanted Juice, but ultimately he decided to stay with New Japan Pro Wrestling where he has received a pretty significant push in 2018.

With regards to the aforementioned KUSHIDA, it was previously reported that WWE was in pursuit of the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion (find that here), he did mention in his farewell tweet to NJPW that he would be heading “overseas”. It should also be noted that recently on Wrestling Observer Radio Meltzer reported that WWE was feeling confident that they would sign KUSHIDA, but of course nothing has been confirmed at this time.
