WWE News: John Cena Officially Enters Men’s Royal Rumble Match

John Cena has been added to the Royal Rumble!

For the first time in three weeks, tonight we get a live edition of Monday Night RAW, the first episode of 2019. Among all of the big things on tap for the show was the return of John Cena, which we got following an opening segment with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (keep up with all of RAW tonight with Mitchell’s Live Report).

The 16-time champion would discuss the aforementioned issues with Rollins and Ambrose, attributing it to this being the Road To WrestleMania and everyone looking to step up heaading into the Royal Rumble. Cena, who is no stranger to the Royal Rumble Match himself, is a two-time winner and also will look to do it for a third time this year, announcing his entry into the Men’s Royal Rumble Match on January 27th.

This would lead to some other confirmed participants wanting to remind Cena, as well as the rest of the competition for that matter, that it’s every man for themselves in less than three weeks. In the end, we would get 6-Man Tag action as Cena, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor picked up a victory over Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre:
