WWE News: RAW Women’s Championship Match Set For Royal Rumble

Ronda Rousey’s Royal Rumble challenger is now set!

Among all of the things scheduled for the first episode of WWE’s Monday Night RAW for 2019 this evening, we got the premiere of Alexa Bliss’ new talk show A Moment Of Bliss with her first-ever guest being RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey (follow along with all of RAW with Mitchell’s Live Report).

With Alexa and Ronda having had their own issues in the past, it was questionable if the two would be able to get along. However, Rousey was looking ahead to the future, more specifically the Royal Rumble in less than three weeks and had her eyes set on a new challenger. The RAW Women’s Champion would state that she wants to face Sasha Banks, something that ‘The Boss’ would come out to accept. Unfortunately for Sasha though, Nia Jax would interrupt believing she deserved another chance.

This would lead to a match with a the shot at Rousey on the line and there were multiple times that it looked as if Nia’s power would be too much to overcome. Sasha would show the resiliency that has endeared her to the WWE Universe though, finally scoring a tap out with the Bank Statement to cement her opportunity on January 27th:
