Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster VS The Coffey Brothers!
The Welsh Air Force has come close but just missed the mark when it comes to the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. As for Joe and Mark Coffey, they finally give it a go! Will Gallus go through Andrews & Webster and straight for the gold?
The teams sort out and Webster starts against Coffey. They go around and tie up, Mark gets a waistlock slam! Mark is right on Webster with a biel! Webster boots back and fights out of the Gallus corner, only to run into a CHOP! Mark tags Joe and the brothers work together to scoop slam Webster. Joe keeps Webster from Andrews and stomps out his stomach. Joe pops Webster up but Webster lands on his feet to dropkick Joe! Tag to Andrews! Andrews runs and headscissors, but Joe blocks! Joe brings Andrews up but Andrews slips out to boot Joe away! Andrews hops up, flying headscissors! Andrews slides and Peles! Mark tags in and Joe reverses the whip. Joe feeds Andrews to Mark for a waistlock. Andrews fights out and runs, but into the pop-up European Uppercut!
Mark hits Webster for good measure before stomping Andrews out. Mark throws heavy body shots then scoop slams Andrews fast. He drops knees on Andrews’ back, then pushes him to the corner. Tag to Joe and the brothers mug Andrews. Joe keeps Andrews from Webster as he stomps Andrews more. Joe throws body shots against the ropes, then in the corner. Andrews can barely cover up as Joe throws hands. Joe whips corner to corner hard and Andrews bounces off the buckles! Joe drags Andrews over and tags in Mark. The Coffey Brothers continue to mug and isolate Andrews. Fans rally up as Mark full nelsons Andrews. Mark drags Andrews over, tag to Joe. The Coffey Brothers double wrench, lift and CHOP Andrews down! Joe keeps Andrews away from Webster again with a full nelson of his own.
Joe thrashes Andrews around then grinds him to the mat. Andrews endures and fans rally up. Andrews stands and slips out, but Joe sees the wheelbarrow coming. Joe elbows and clubs Andrews down. Andrews almost reaches Webster, but Joe stops him just inches away. Joe uses the butterfly full nelson, but fans rally up. Joe swings Andrews around and around, then throws him overhead! Cover, TWO! Andrews lives but Joe stays right on him. Joe whips Andrews to the Coffey corner, but Andrews fights out! Andrews runs, but into a bomb! He slips out, hot tag to Webster! The Modfather rallies on the Coffey boys! Webster throws EuroUppers, but runs into a lift. Webster lands on his feet, gets around, goes around, big crossbody and fast hands!
Phoenix fires up as Webster hits the springboard quebrada on Mark! Webster runs corner to corner but is put on the apron. Webster hits back with a swift knee! And he Tiger Feints to huricanrana Joe into barriers! Webster leaps up and over Mark, knee trigger! Tag to Andrews and Webster gives him the assist on the standing 450! Cover, but Joe breaks it! The Coffey Brothers regroup but Webster is on them. Joe throws Webster out then tags in. Joe goes at Andrews but gets CHOP after CHOP! Andrews throws forearms, too, but Joe pushes him back. Joe blocks the tilt-o-whirl DDT, but Webster tags in on the back side! Webster knee triggers Joe then gives Andrews a boost, tornado DDT!
Joe bails out and Mark runs in, for a Modfather headbutt! Andrews and Webster double FLY onto both brothers! They quickly get Joe in, Andrews tags. Webster wrenches, but Joe pushes him away. Joe gets clear of Andrews for a corner splash! Joe suplexes, Stun-Dog Millionaire! Hot tag to Webster! Webster climbs and Andrews DIVES onto Mark! But Mark catches Andrews for a suplex onto the apron! Webster sentons but onto Joe’s knees! Joe SPEARS Webster to the corner and tags Mark. Mark rocks Webster with a forearm, Joe tops it off with All the Best for the Bells! Cover, the Coffey Brothers win!

Trent Seven VS Shane Thorne!
The man from Mustache Mountain wants to be NXT UK Tag Team Champion with Tyler Bate, but he’ll show he can still get it done in singles competition! Will he get a win against The Worst of NXT?
The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up and go around, and Seven pushes Thorne towards a corner. Thorne pushes Seven towards the other corner, but Seven escapes to a waistlock then headlock. They end up on the ropes and they separate. Seven and Thorne circle and tie up again. Seven gets the arm and wrenches, keeping Thorne from ropes. Fans applaud as Seven wrenches Thorne down to the mat. Thorne moves around and reverses the wrench. Seven reverses back but Thorne rocks him with a right. Thorne bumps Seven off buckles then chops him! Seven CHOPS back! And CHOPS him! And CHOPS him! Seven fires up but Thorne gets a headlock. Seven powers out but Thorne runs him over.
Things speed up and Thorne whips Seven, only for Seven to come back with a crossbody! Cover, TWO! Thorne hurries to a corner but Seven runs in for a big clothesline! Seven whips corner to corner but Thorne reverses. Thorne runs in but is put on the apron. Thorne grabs hair and beard, then hotshots Seven’s arm! The referee reprimands Thorne but Thorne drags Seven into the post. Thorne pulls the arm into the steel, but lets up at 4. Thorne goes back into the ring to scrape and kick and stomp Seven in the corner. He stands Seven up to wrench the arm and bring Seven to the mat. Fans rally up while Seven endures. Seven powers up and fights back but Thorne throws him down by his hair. Thorne kicks away on Seven then covers, TWO!
Thorne keeps on Seven with a keylock. Seven endures but fans rally up again. Seven powers up and hits a stunner! Thorne staggers back, into a CHOP! And another CHOP! Seven fakes the chop to hit the DDT! Thorne flounders while fans fire up with Seven. Seven runs corner to corner for another CHOP! Snap Dragon Suplex! Scoop driver! Cover, TWO! Seven goes for and gets the Figure Four! Thorne endures the legendary leg lock and fans are shouting. Seven and Thorne start slapping each other! Thorne manages to turn the hold over, putting the pressure on Seven! Seven turns it back over, but then Thorne gets the ropebreak. They end up on the apron while the leg lock is still on, so Thorne turns and brings them both crashing to the ground!
Thorne is laughing as he and Seven separate. They stand and Seven chops Thorne. Thorne throws a haymaker, but Seven chops back. They brawl as the ring count climbs. Thorne back suplexes Seven on the apron at 7! Thorne climbs up top but Seven runs over to CHOP him back. Seven and Thorne fight with chops, and Seven gets an edge. Seven climbs up to join Thorne, for a SUPERPLEX! Cover, TWO! Thorne survives but Seven isn’t done with him yet. Seven goes for the Figure Four again but Thorne cradles! TWO, and Seven CHOPS Thorne. Thorne throws haymakers but Seven throws CHOPS! Seven throws slapping body shots but Thorne throws a EuroUpper. Thorne gloats but Seven grabs him for the wristlock ripcord. Thorne slips through to ripcord Seven for a kitchen sink knee! Then he double chicken wings, pop-up to a German Suplex! Cover, TWO!!
Seven survives but Thorne is right on the bad arm! Thorne folds the arm for a modified crossface, but Seven slips through. Seven fights out with elbows and chops. Ripcord, Seven Star Lariat!! Cover, Seven wins!
Winner: Trent Seven, by pinfall
The man from Mustache Mountain bests the Worst in their first singles encounter! Will this help Seven reach the top of the mountain in the singles division as well as the tag division?
Backstage interview with Jack Gallagher.
The Ungentle Gentleman was last in NXT UK at the Royal Albert Hall and the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament. Gallagher sees NXT UK making history itself, but will he be joining for more action? That’s a question for GM Johnny Saint to answer. What will Saint’s answer be in regards to having the 205 Live Cruiserweight crossing over?
NXT UK Media catches up with Joseph Conners.
The Righteous Killer trains at the new UK Performance Center as he speaks on “breaking the shiny new toys.” However, he lost to Ligero- Stop right there. He and Ligero have a long history. But Conners will tell everyone that his loss was just an off day. Those off days are long behind him. Conners is more focused than ever, and he will show everyone that he always has and always will be better than the Leeds Luchador. Will Ligero be the shiniest toy Conners breaks?
The Grizzled Young Veterans head to the ring!
Zack Gibson and James Drake are in Phoenix as the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions, but they’ll also defend them during this state-side excursion. Gibson takes the mic and introduces himself as Liverpool’s Number One, and introduces Drake. Together, they are the Grizzled Young Veterans. “For 13 long, hard years,” they traveled the world to show everyone what they already knew. And now they stand before the fans “with these shiny new NXT UK tag titles, which prove exactly what we already knew: that we are the very best tag team anywhere around the world!”
But being the best does have a drawback. Gibson would much rather be home in Liverpool, sitting back and enjoying his life. But instead, they’ve been dragged against their will to this desert, just so they can educate the “ignorant Yanks” as to why British Wrestling is the best, and as to why GYV are the best of the best. Johnny Saint insisted they make the trip. Saint insisted they have the best competition. But no, Gibson and Drake are the best competition. The other teams should be flying to the UK to find them. The GYV have set a new standard. Any tag team from 205 Live or NXT USA, line up because GYV are not impressed. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, come challenge them, because they are the standard-bearers SOON to be recognized as “the most important” team anywhere in the WWE.
Speaking of, the One Two Combination head right out! Lorcan & Burch want Gibson & Drake to hold their horses. On behalf of Phoenix, please shut up! No one wants to hear what Gibson’s got to say. But Burch has said it a million times, he’s proud to be British. But he’s also proud to represent the American NXT, the one Gibson claims has no competition. Nothing makes Burch prouder than to team with Lorcan. Now they’re supposed to wait for the match until next week, but why wait? Lorcan & Burch rush the ring, but Gibson & Drake bail out. Fans boo as the Grizzled Young Veterans take their titles and run. The champs fight on their time, but will their time be up very soon?
NXT UK Women’s Championship: Toni Storm VS Rhea Ripley!
The first time, the Mosh Pit Kid shocked the world when she beat the Lightning Down Under to become the first-ever champion. The second time was finally #ToniTime. Now in the third time around, the score will be settled. Who will take the title back to the UK after burning it down in Phoenix?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and Rhea sucker punches Toni! Rhea rains down rights on Toni but the referee tries to restore order. Rhea throws Toni into the corner but Toni staggers back up. Toni wants the match to happen, so the ref rings the bell. Rhea is right on her again! The ref counts but Rhea rams shoulders in until 4! Rhea stalks Toni to another corner and stomps a mudhole in! She drags Toni up to whip but Toni holds ropes. Rhea goes after her with more furious forearms, and then throws her down on the mat. Rhea stomps Toni then talks trash. She whips Toni but Toni redirects and dropkicks Rhea down! Cover, ONE!
Toni stays on Rhea with EuroUppers! Toni rocks Rhea to the ropes and throws forearms of her own. The ref backs Toni off, Rhea yanks Toni into the ropes! Rhea then yanks Toni out of the ring and to the floor! Rhea tells the fans to shut up as she clubs Toni around. She rams Toni into the apron then refreshes the count. Rhea rams Toni into the apron again, then scoops her to ram her into the post! She dumps Toni back in and covers, TWO! Fans rally up for Toni but Rhea stomps her more. Rhea drags Toni up for clubbing forearms. Rhea mocks the fans for cheering Toni on, so the fans boo and jeer Rhea. The Mosh Pit Kid grounds ‘n’ pounds Toni then pulls her hair! The ref counts and Rhea lets up at 4. Rhea wraps Toni up in body scissors and squeezes.
Toni endures and fans rally again. Rhea pulls Toni’s hair more but Toni turns it to a cover, ONE! Rhea keeps the squeeze on and thrashes Toni about, but Toni makes it another cover. ONE, and Rhea rolls Toni to a cover of her own. TWO, and Toni is still in the scissors. Rhea rolls her again, TWO, and Toni starts stomping the back of Rhea’s head! Toni stomps her way out of the hold! Rhea scrambles away from Toni as fans fire up. Toni throws big forearms but Rhea shoves and dropkicks her down! Cover, TWO! Rhea keeps her cool while she stalks Toni. “You think you’re so good!” Rhea slaps Toni around then drags her up. Toni hits back with palm strikes and forearms, but Rhea knees low. Rhea throws Toni to the mat again, then looms over her as fans boo.
Rhea stands on Toni’s hair and flexes! She lets up at 4, but then stomps Toni to get the legs. Rhea lifts Toni in the inverted cloverleaf! Toni endures while fans rally up. Toni crawls her way towards the ropes, then rolls to throw Rhea out! Rhea hurries back up but Toni roundhouses her back down. Toni builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit wipes Rhea out! Toni drags Rhea back in and gets a waistlock, German Suplex! Rhea flounders to a corner as fans fire up with Toni. Toni runs in for the hip attack! Then she waistlocks Rhea again, German Suplex! Bridging cover, TWO! Toni keeps focus as she drags Rhea back up.
Toni underhooks, but Rhea resists. Rhea slips out to throw forearm after forearm! She clobbers Toni with a clothesline! Rhea drags Toni up for another! Rhea drags Toni up again, but Toni dodges to hit a backstabber! Both women are down but fans fire up. A standing count begins and reaches 5 before either woman sits up. Toni and Rhea meet at 7 to start throwing forearms from the mat. They brawl as they head back to their feet. Rhea SLAPS Toni, then runs, but Toni rocks her with a forearm! Toni whips but Rhea reverses to boot! Rhea swings but Toni dodges to headbutt! Toni falls on the cover, TWO!!
Rhea survives but Toni keeps going. Toni drags herself to a corner then wills herself up top. Rhea trips her up! Rhea CHOPS Toni but Toni headbutts back! Toni adjusts, but Rhea enziguris her down! Rhea roars as she climbs up to join Toni. SUPERPLEX! Rhea crawls to the high stack cover, TWO!! Toni barely escapes and Rhea can’t believe it! Rhea stomps away on Toni then drags her back up. Rhea scoop slams Toni into the corner then stomps a mudhole! She backs off at 4 then drags Toni up. “You think it’s Toni Time, huh!?” Rhea throws heavy hands on the dazed Toni. Rhea runs in, but Toni goes up and over, sending Rhea into post! Toni floats over, underhooks, Storm Zero!! Cover, Toni wins!!
Winner: Toni Storm, by pinfall; still NXT UK Women’s Champion
The trilogy concludes and the Lightning strikes! Toni Time can finally move on, who will be her first fresh challenger on the Road to Wrestlemania Weekend?
My Thoughts:
Another great episode of NXT UK. Good to see the Coffey Brothers have a tag team match. Obviously while the WWE United Kingdom Championship is reserved for Walter come the next UK TakeOver, it’s good for Joe and Mark to try the tag team division. They have a great match with Andrews & Webster, and obviously win to keep themselves strong. Of course, Gallus likely won’t challenge for the tag titles without Mustache Mountain being involved. Gibson gives another solid promo, and the exchange with Lorcan & Burch was good, too. Grizzled Young Veterans VS Lorcan & Burch is going to be a fun match next week, but pretty sure GYV retains. They won’t lose those titles until Mustache Mountain is involved. The next UK TakeOver might even up the intensity by making it a Triple Threat, since a simple rematch of GYV VS MM would be hard to outdo the original.
Seven VS Thorne was good, and it’s good to see Thorne showing up in NXT UK. WWE Worlds Collide was used to tease Thorne coming over now that he no longer has Nick Miller for a tag partner. “The Worst” can help the UK midcard grow, but I wouldn’t say he’s midcard title material just yet. The same for Jack Gallagher. It’s great to have crossovers between NXT UK, NXT and 205 Live, but I don’t see Gallagher winning a title just yet. Devlin hypes a rematch with Travis Banks, and that match will be incredible, especially if they get a special stipulation. Then the main event, the Women’s Championship was another instant classic. Rhea going after Toni’s back was good referencing of the story from their first match. Naturally Toni wins, because it is time to move on to new challengers.

Will the Unbound Company be golden going into Fukuoka? Or will The Prince and his United Empire conquer the day?
Callum taunts Takagi with the title, daring him to take it. Takagi doesn’t fall for the bait so the belt is put aside. The teams sort out, and after Unbound Company does their fist bump, Takagi calls Callum out. Callum steps up, but he does whisper something to Zane. Perhaps the Prince is planning ahead? The bell rings and the fans rally as Takagi and Callum circle. The crowd is split between the two as they feel things out. They knuckle lock, but then Zane CLOBBERS Takagi! Callum BLASTS Unbound Company’s corner, the plan already succeeding. Callum stomps Takagi, ROCKS him, then tags in Zane.
The fans rally as Callum & Zane double whip, but Takgai ducks the double lariat! Takagi waistlocks Zane, Zane switches, but Takagi BOOTS Callum. Takagi ELBOWS Zane, then sends Callum into Zane! Callum kicks Takagi for that, then whips, but Takagi reverses to HIP TOSS! Takagi LARIATS Callum up and out while the fans cheer. Zane grabs Takagi’s hair but Takagi KNEES low. Takagi runs, Zane hurdles and drops, to then DROPKICK! But Takagi rebounds to RUN Zane over! The fans cheer as Takagi is fired up already! “OI! OI! OI!” Takagi stands Zane up, but Zane scrambles away. Zane tags Francesco Akira, so Takagi tags Robbie X.
The fans rally as the two tie up, go around, and Akira cravats. Robbie flips through the snapmare, but Akira RUNS him over! Things speed up, Akira rolls over the dropdown, then RANAS, but Robbie handsprings through! The fans cheer, and Robbie eggs Akira on. Robbie dodges Akira to then ROCK, THROW, and slingshot SENTON! The fans cheer while Robbie covers, TWO! Robbie CHOPS Akira, then tags Taiji. Team Super Extreme double whip Akira to ropes, but Zane helps Akira stop at the ropes. Robbie runs up but Akira DUMPS him out! Akira then dodges Taiji to shove him and CALF KICK! Then The Empire attacks on the outside!
Callum brawls with Takagi as they go to the crowd! Takagi SMACKS Callum off a chair, and makes him take a seat! But then Callum KNEES in return, and SMACKS Takagi off a chair! Akira CHOKES Taiji using a fan’s umbrella, Jake CHOKES Yota using a fan’s rally towel! Akira even opens the umbrella as he digs it into Taiji! The ring count starts but Akira puts Taiji in the ring quickly. Callum POSTS Takagi! Akira clamps onto Taiji with a chinlock and grinds him down. The fans rally as Taiji endures and fights around. Jake swings the rally towel before he brings Yota back to ringside. Jake feeds Yota to Callum’s BOOT!
Taiji fights his way around, but Akira shifts to a dragon sleeper! Taiji still fights and makes the ROPEBREAK! Akira lets go while the fans applaud. Akira bumps Taiji off buckles, tags in Jake, and the Silent Jester digs his boot into Taiji’s neck! Callum argues with the ref but the ref still counts. Jake stops at 4, then he stomps Taiji. The Empire get their boots in there, but Takagi tries to counterattack. That only gets him mugged! Robbie tries to help but he also gets beat down. Callum grabs Milano Collection AT’s phone and threatens to smash Takagi with it! Milano begs he not, and Callum gives the phone back.
Jake drags Taiji up but Taiji fires body shots. Taiji fires haymakers but Jake kicks low! Jake lifts Taiji with both hands! But then Jake drops Taiji to let him sputter on the mat. Cocky cover, TWO! Jake drags Taiji up, KNEES him low, then whips him to ropes. Taiji handsprings and NEURALIZER KICKS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Taiji crawls, reaches out, and hot tags Yota! Jake waits on Yota, Yota slowly rises, and Jake guzels! But Yota fights the choke slam! Yota runs, but Jake goes to the corner and CLBOBERS Yota! A very evil move from Jake, then he goes for the legs! Yota fights off the Boston Crab, then catches the lariat to the BACKBREAKER! FLATLINER! But Jake dodges the stomp! Jake back suplexes, but Yota lands out! Yota waistlocks, Jake switches, GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans rally as Jake aims, FACE BREAK- SUPERKICK! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Yota and Jake crawl, Takagi and Callum call each other out from the corners! Hot tags to Callum and Takagi!
The fans fire up as Takagi dodges, Callum blocks, then Callum whips. Takagi reverses, Callum ducks ‘n’ dodges, Takagi bypasses Callum by one, but Callum still BOOTS Takagi! Takagi dodge Excalibur to waistlock, but Callum ELBOWS free! Callum runs up, but into another ELBOW! Takagi reels Callum in, TORNADO DDT! Callum almost flips through, but he flops back down! The fans rally now as Takagi and Callum stir, and hot tag to Robbie! Robbie NO HAND HANDSPRINGS Zane & Akira down! Robbie fires off on Callum, then winds up, but Callum KNEES low! Robbie handsprings again and the fans fire up! Robbie runs up in the corner but Callum dodges. Callum comes back, blocks a kick, but Robbie reels Callum in for an UPPERCUT! Robbie then goes up and out to springboard back in, MISSILE DROPKICK! High stack cover, TWO! Callum survives but the fans rally behind Robbie. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Lumberjack Match: DOUKI VS Tiger Mask!
Japones Del Mal has been cheating and cheating and cheating and cheating ever since he got this title, and everyone’s head enough of it! But can the living legend of Junior Heavyweight wrestling serve justice one last time? Or will gambling against the House of Torture come back to bite him?
Representing Hontai as lumberjacks, we have Shota Umino, Toru Yano, Master Wato, Boltin Oleg, Aaron Wolf, and even special guest, Mistico. Considering Douki has everyone in the House of Torture ringside, it’s actually considerate that Sho joins commentary for the time being. He’s probably doing it just to annoy Yoh, who has been on commentary most of the night. President Hiroshi Tanahashi is here for the formal introductions, and to raise the belt. Win, lose or draw, we witness a historic chapter in a storied career!
The bell rings and naturally, all the fans cheer “TA-I-GA! TA-I-GA!” Douki brushes that off as he circles with Tiger, but then backs away to the ropes. The fans boo and Tiger protests, but Douki steps back inside. Douki and Tiger circle, feel things out, and Tiger SLAPS Douki! Douki runs up and goes for the mask! Red Shoes reprimands but the two go around the ropes. Douki CHOKES Tiger, stops as Red Shoes reprimands, then kicks low. Douki whips, Tiger reverses, but Douki slides out. Douki taunts Tiger, but forgets he’s on the Hontai side of the ring! Shota & Yano throw Douki back in! Douki shouts at them but Tiger waistlocks!
Douki SLAMS Tiger, flips him over, but Tiger kips up to arm-drag! Douki tumbles out and he spots Hontai creeping up already! Douki gets to the apron and tells them to back off! Tiger storms up and has a SLEEPER on the ropes! Tiger drags Douki into the ring like that, then sits him down. The fans cheer Tiger as he wraps the body scissors on, but Douki scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Red Shoes counts but Tiger lets go quickly. Tiger stomps Douki around, KICKS him at the ropes, then ROCKS him with a right hand. Tiger DECKS Douki, stalks him along the ropes, then ROCKS him again. Douki CLAWS Tiger’s eyes!
The fans boo and Red Shoes reprimands, but Douki runs, into a SOBAT! Douki bails out to the House’s side, and they shield him from the Hontai lumberjacks. Sho and Yoh even argue on commentary, but Yoshinobu Kanemaru drags Tiger out of the ring, right behind Red Shoes’ back! The fans boo as Kanemaru stomps away on Tiger, but Douki keeps Red Shoes distracted until Kanemaru puts Tiger back in. Douki drags Tiger up, TOSSES him back out, and then distracts Red Shoes so that the House can beat Tiger up! The blue buckle pad is even removed! Hontai rushes The House, they all brawl, and Tiger is saved.
Tiger drags himself up, but Douki drags him back into the ring. Douki whips Tiger into the bare buckles! Tiger slumps down in the corner, but Douki snapmares him. Douki vows to take the mask! The fans boo, Red Shoes reprimands, so Douki stops. Douki argues with Red Shoes, then drags Tiger up. Douki hoists Tiger to the top rope, then climbs up, to go after the mask! The fans boo again and Red Shoes reprimands, but Douki has loosened the strings! Red Shoes counts, Douki stops at 4, and Douki brings Tiger down from the corner. Tiger fires body shots and knees, but Douki knees low! Douki TOSSES Tiger back out!
The House swarms Tiger, and Ren JAMS Tiger with a chair! Kanemaru puts Tiger in, Douki covers, TWO! Tiger survives and the fans cheer, but Douki drags Tiger into a CAMEL CLUTCH! The fans rally as Tiger endures. Douki fishhooks Tiger but stops as Red Shoes reprimands. Tiger powers up as the fans cheer him on, and he pries an arm free! Tiger pushes his way around to the ROPEBREAK! Douki holds until Red Shoes counts 4, then takes his time bringing Tiger around. Douki slaps Tiger but Tiger fires body shots! Douki HELL STABS! Tiger goes to ropes. Douki runs up, but Tiger DUMPS him onto the House!
The fans cheer as Tiger gets some payback, and he builds speed to DIVE! Down goes The House again! The fans fire up as Tiger slowly rises back up. Tiger rolls inside, but where is Douki? He tries to run away, but Oleg & Wolf carry him back from the ramp! They throw him inside for Tiger to rain down fists! The fans cheer the ground ‘n’ pound, then the ARMBAR! Douki scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Tiger lets go, then SLAPS Douki! And SLAPS, SLAPS, SLAPS! Tiger whips, scoops, and BACKBREAKERS! Cover, TWO! Douki toughs it out but Tiger waits for him to sit up. Tiger then KICKS, and KICKS, but Douki blocks one!
Douki CLUBS the leg, but then Tiger catches his lariat, only for Douki to wrench through! Douki SHOVES Tiger into Red Shoes! Down goes Red Shoes, and Douki KNEES Tiger against the ropes! The House rushes the ring, and they BLAST Hontai before they can do anything! The fans boo but Dick Togo ELBOWS Tiger, followed by ELBOW, LARIAT, LARIAT, ELBOW, and Don Fale’s SPLASH! Don shoves Tiger down, Dick goes up, and they set Tiger up for the DICK CHOP! The fans boo but The House gets away with the whole bag of tricks! Cover, TWO!! Tiger survives and the fans cheer! Douki is annoyed, but he drags Tiger to the drop zone.
Douki goes to the corner and climbs up. But Tiger trips Douki up! Tiger then SMACKS Douki, climbs up, and goes to the very top! The fans cheer as Tiger underhooks, SUPER BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! The fans fire up while Douki writhes and flounders! Tiger catches his breath while the fans rally up again. Hontai coaches Tiger, the House coaches Douki, and both men go to corners. Tiger rises first, and he runs up on Douki, but Douku uses Red Shoes as a shield! The ROUNDHOUSE hits Red Shoes! Then Ren Narita gets in and beats up on Tiger! Oleg & Wolf rush in, they scrap with Ren and Fale, but Ren CLAWS Oleg’s eyes while Fale BODY BLOWS Wolf!
Fale & Ren whip the big men at each other, but Oleg & Wolf reverse! Fale RUNS Ren over, and then Wolf & Oleg DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE Fale down! The rest of the House rushes in, but so does the rest of Hontai! This time, Hontai clears The House, and the fans fire up as Msitico lines up a shot! SUPER CROSSBODY and down goes The House! But Red Shoes is in no shape, Young Lions carry him away. Tiger goes after Douki with the ROUNDHOUSE, then underhooks! TIGER DRIVER!! But no ref to count!! Marty hurries in, counts, TWO!! Douki survives because of the delay! The fans rally for Tiger as he rises up again.
Tiger drags Douki up and clamps on the chicken wing. CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING! But Dick SHOVES Wato into the ring to distract Marty! And that lets Yujiro PIMP CANE Tiger in the head!! Douki is saved again, and he drags Tiger into the ITALIAN STRETCH #32!! Tiger endures while the fans rally up, and Tiger fights his way over! ROPEBREAK!! The fans cheer as Tiger survives again! Marty counts and Douki lets go in frustration. The fans rally as hard as they can for “TA-I-GA! TA-I-GA!” Douki goes to the apron, lines up the shot, and slingshots, only for Tiger to dodge! Crucifix takedown, TWO! DISARMER!!
Douki endures as Tiger pulls on the mounted armbar! Douki kicks and flails, but Tiger shifts things around to the CHICKEN WING CROSSFACE!! Douki endures again, but The House gest on the apron! Hontai trips them all up, and Tanahashi says enough is enough! Take them away! Hontai drags The House from ringside under President’s orders! But Sho CLOBBERS Yoh on commentary! The lumberjack in the hole distracts the ref, right as Douki taps!! Tiger would’ve won! Tiger SMACKS Sho down! But Douki LOW- NO!! Tiger blocks the low blow to gut wrench and TOMBSTONE!!! Tiger isn’t done there, though!
Tiger chicken wings Douki, but Sho YANKS the ref out! TIGER SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, and SHO counts the pin, just to taunt Tiger with a blatant TWO! Tiger is furious but Sho kicks and CLUBS away on Tiger! The fans boo, but Sho reels Tiger in! Sho tucks the arms, but Yoh SUPERKICKS Sho! Sho tumbles out but Yoh PLANCHAS him down! And Yoh gets Marty back in the ring! The fans are thunderous as Tiger drags Douki back up, to BUZZSAW! Douki sputters but Tiger sits him up for another BUZZSAW! Tiger vows this is it, and he brings Douki back up. Chicken wings and- DOUKI BOOTS MARTY! LOW BLOW!!
Douki drags Tiger down for ITALIAN STRETCH #32!! Tiger endures but Douki puts on a lot of pressure! The fans rally even harder as Tiger rises again! Tiger fights his way over to the ROPEBREAK!! Douki is furious, but he still lets go at 4! Douki argues with the ref, but all to distract as Sho SMACKS Tiger with the “Black Mirror!” LOW BLOW on Yoh, then a SMACK with the mirror!! The fans boo as Murder Machine continues to tip the scales! ITALIAN STRETCH #32!!! Tiger endures, but he is OUT! DOUKI WINS!!
Winner: Douki, by submission (still IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion)
Tiger Mask let Douki have all his House members ringside, and that ultimately cost him! Tiger will never again be Junior Heavyweight Champion, will this loss be a stain on his legendary legacy?
As for Douki, he found another way to survive by the skin of his teeth. And once again, Tanahashi has to reluctantly hand this title over to the winner, despite all the injustice he witnessed with his own eyes. Douki gloats as he wears the belt, then takes the mic to say, “Tiger Mask… This is the power of GOD!” Douki laughs but the fans boo. “Hey, you guys are so annoying with this booing!” The fans only boo more, but Douki says from Desperado to Wato to Yoh, and now Tiger Mask, Douki’s had one hell of a year as champion! There’s not a single Junior Heavyweight who can beat him! The fans boo, knowing those were never truly 1v1.
Douki continues by saying he’s already shown that he is THE strongest Junior Heavyweight wrestler, so why should he, of all people, need to participate in Best of the Super Juniors to prove that he IS the best? Yes, that’s right! He doesn’t know who entered him without his permission, but Douki is NOT competing in BOSJ! Seriously? Douki says they can all decide who will be his next challenger. And do you know why? Not that you idiots would understand! But it’s because Douki is the GOD OF JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING! Douki drops the mic as he apparently drops out of the tournament. But will he regret not having a hand in his own fate?
My Thoughts:
A great Hizen no Kuni as part of the overall Road to Dontaku series. Apparently, they won’t be broadcasting the last two dates so no Road to Dontaku at all for my coverage this year. But even so, great stuff going into that Wrestling Dontaku two day event. With United Empire winning their Six Man Tag over Bishamon, feels like Khan & Henare should get their chance at the tag titles next, but I guess we’ll see. Great 8 Man Tag of Unbound Company VS United Empire. Sadly, with Gabe Kidd out, he can’t finish his feud with Yota Tsuji. Seems Andrade El Idolo gets a second chance from his loss at New Beginnings USA. I don’t think Yota is losing, though, he was likely meant to win against Gabe anyway so that NJPW could have something over AEW.
As for Callum, he stands tall both by taking the win and knocking Takagi down, and go-home math would say the challenger wins now. But I can’t recall how often NJPW follows such a formula, so maybe Callum still wins out at Dontaku. To be fair, Takagi felt like he was being put forward as a solid first defense for Callum’s reign as it was, so this was perhaps always meant to be. Plus, the G1 Climax is a little earlier this year, being more late Spring since it starts in May, and that’ll do a lot towards determining the challenger for perhaps Dominion or beyond.
Douki VS Tiger Mask was great, especially for a lumberjack match. Those automatically call for overbooking and shenanigans, so of course the House helped Douki survive. Douki saying he’s NOT in the BOSJ is rather surprising, but I suppose it works in character that he sees himself above all of that. At the very least, there’s no “golden tickets” owed if someone gets a win off him, which they might not anyway since House of Torture would just cheat every round. In fact, it cuts down on how much the House is gonna cheat since it’ll just be Sho and Kanemaru. That said, the door is wide open to who can win BOSJ now, for quite a lot of intrigue going into the next title match.

The NXT General Manager is with the heads of NXT management and wants to get right to the point. Ethan Page, Joe Hendry, Fatal Influence, Sol Ruca, Blake Monroe, and even Ricky Saints, all called up to Raw and SmackDown to make an impact there. Those are big shoes to fill, though, and Stone’s phone has been blowing up from all the talent. But he thinks it is time for some fresh faces, maybe even from Evolve and LFG. Bloom says they have a great crop of international talent looking for their chance. HBK says they’ve done what NXT does, they’ve been through this before many times. Now, Stone can put names on cards, put pictures on the board, and continue to take calls.
Or… He can throw a stick of dynamite into the locker rooms and see who runs out. Stone likes that bold approach. Things are about to change drastically, but who will show up while the others blow up?

Speaking of, we just saw Myles overcome a member of DarkState when he defeated Dion Lennox, but admittedly, The Sugar Man muddied the waters on that. But will it be clear that Myles will #NeverBreak? Or can Saquon redeem himself by taking this title for himself?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if nobody’s safe!
The bell rings and Saquon runs up! Myles dodges then fires hands! The fans rally for Myles as he UPPERCUTS again and again! Saquon flounders, but then he YANKS Myles! Myles stops from hitting ropes, but Saquon gets around for the NECK JACKER! Myles goes to a corner, Saquon runs up again, but Myles dodges again! Saquon tumbles off buckles, and Myles kicks him low. Myles reels Saquon in for the X-PLEX! The fans rally as Myles then deadlift GUT WRENCH PLEXES! Saquon tumbles again while the fans fire up. Myles storms up but Saquon BOOTS him! Saquon runs, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Saquon bails out and DarkState regroups.
But wait! Myles goes AIR BORNE! Down go Saquon & Osiris while the fans fire up! Myles puts Saquon in, but Cutler drags him out! Myles ROCKS Cutler, then he CHOPS Saquon! Myles ROCKS and whips but Saquon avoids the dropkick! Saquon grins and runs up to RAM Myles! Saquon climbs up, he rains down fists, but Myles carries him away! Atomic drop! And LARIAT! Then a wrench and hook, but Saquon hooks the ropes! Saquon turns things around on Myles to backslide him onto ropes! A unique hotshot to say the least, and then Saquon goes up, out, around, and he YANKS Myles into the crossbar!
The fans boo but Saquon skins the cat. Myles sputters, Saquon WRECKS him with a dropkick! Saquon wants after Myles but the ref backs him off! Saquon says screw that, and he goes up onto the desk! Saquon soaks up the heat while NXT goes picture in picture.
The ref checks Myles as he sputters, that crossbar he hit was exposed steel! Saquon still stands Myles up to SMACK him off the desk! Saquon drags Myles up and puts him in the ring for a KNEE DROP! Myles coughs and sputters again, but Saquon lines up another KNEE DROP! Saquon stalks Myles, brings him around, and JUMPING KNEE DROPS! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Saquon stays focused. Saquon drags Myles up, kicks him to a corner, then stomps a mudhole into him! The ref counts, Saquon stops at 4, and Myles sputters as he leans against the ropes. Saquon storms up but Myles fires body shots!
Saquon CLUBS Myles , turns him, but Myles turns neckbreaker into O’Conner Roll! TWO, and Saquon has the legs to drag Myles under the ropes! ROPE GUILLOTINE! Myles again sputters and coughs while Saquon looms over him. Saquond rags Myles to a cover, TWO! Myles tough sit out but Saquon clamps on with a chinlock. Myles endures, fights around, but Saquon KNEES him in the back! Myles goes to the apron, Saquon storms up, and Saquon ROCKS Myles with a right! Saquon turns Myles around, CLUBS away on his chest, then stops as the ref counts. Myles RAMS into Saquon, and NXT returns to single picture as Myles slingshots to sunset flip!
The fans rally and even duel as Saquon flails to stay up! Saquon breaks free, but Myles avoids the knee drop! Saquon hurries to headlock but Myles powers up, out, then drops down. Saquon hurdles over the backdrop, but turns around into a HIP TOSS! Myles still coughs, and Saquon UPPERCUTS him! Saquon KNEES Myles in the back and Myles is on the ropes! Saquon runs to BLINDSIDE LARIAT! Then slingshot LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Saquon clamps on with a chinlock and he grinds Myles down. The fans rally while Dion coaches Saquon on the squeeze. Myles fights up, but Saquon wrangles him again! Saquon adds a top wristlock into the hold!
The fans rally again and Myles fights back up. Myles fires body shots, then he runs up in the corner, but Saquon puts him up top! Saquon ENZIGIRIS, then mocks the fans cheering Myles. Saquon climbs up, he neck wrenches Myles, then goes to the very top! The fans rally as Saquon stands Myles up for a SUPER DUPER- CROSSBODY COUNTER!! Cover, TWO!! Saquon survives Myles turning this around and the fans fire up! The fans rally as both men rise, and Myles hobbles his way over to Saquon. But Saquon fights the dragon sleeper to victory roll! The Women’s Speed Champion says first it was Kali Armstrong and Lizzy Rain, and now there’s Tristan Angels and Kam Hendrix! It’s all happening so fast! Kendal says yeah, but good thing for Wren is she’s built for Speed, right? Incoming new talents and she’s no longer the new kid on the block anymore. Kelani Jordan walks in and Kendal asks if she’s good. No, she’s not good. She’s staring at someone who got a two-part Chronicle when she doesn’t deserve it, and someone who has had multiple shots at THE NXT Women’s Championship when Lani hasn’t even gotten one! Not to mention, LANI tapped out Lola Vice, something not even Kendal could do. Lani is the one to beat!
Kendal asks about what happened when she faced Lola again. Oh, that’s right! Lani’s ass got knocked out in the Underground! Even though Kendal didn’t win at Stand & Deliver, she also didn’t get pinned, so she deserves her shot at Lola. Lani sighs and says oh, Wren, clueless as always. They both need to realize there are no such things as friends in NXT! Kendal will turn on Wren just like Charlie did. Oh? How about instead of worrying about the NXT Women’s Champion, you worry about this women’s champion? Lani says okay, they can face off, and Wren doesn’t even have to put up the title. Lani will settle for embarrassing Wren in front of Kendal, who better be ringside to watch.

And now that I have this title, there isn’t a man on this roster who is tough enough to kick me off of this mountain!” The fans cheer for that, and Tony says that includes whoever sent him the little box last week. Some fans already ask, “What’s in the box~?!”
Tony says there are competitors from LFG and Evolve jumping Myles Borne, European talents stepping up, Keanu Carver side-eyeing him, but Tony’s more curious about that box. Now Tony ain’t stupid, he knows that wasn’t a gift. That was a warning. Wait! The lights go out! Then a blacklight turns out, and from the stage, a man in a hooded jacket walks down the ramp. The man steps into the ring, and the fans chant “EVIL! EVIL!” The man hands Tony a scroll, then reveals, it IS the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Evil! The scroll is actually a shirt, and on it is simply the kanji for war. Evil has made his declaration, but when and where will these two battle?
But wait, someone else is trying a sneak attack! Tony is quick to dodge, but then that man clinches and BELLY2BELLY! WAIT! That’s Tavion Heights! Tavion says he ain’t asking no more, he’s taking! He is after everything he deserves, and he deserves it all! But hold on, someone is adding insult to injury! MOONSAULT off the top rope! The fans here know him, but will the entire WWE Universe soon learn what is going on?
Shiloh Hill & Tatum Paxley are… somewhere in the woods…
And they’re looking down in a grave they dug. Tatum says, “Here lies the final resting ground for Blake Monroe here in NXT. May the cold darkness engulf her glamorous and narcissistic ways.” Shiloh likes those last words. Tatum says she didn’t want to do it, but Blake made her! Tatum had to end it! At least now they don’t have to hear Blake’s voice. Well, they don’t call it soundproof foam for nothing. RIGHT, BLAKE?! HAHA! But seriously, hopefully Blake’s soul finds peace wherever it winds up. Tatum says in a funny way, she does, too. It’s just… She feels like something comes over her when it comes to this title. Like she goes into survival mode.
Shiloh sits with Tatum and says that makes sense. Sometimes, when we work so hard for things, it feels like they become part of us. And when that thing is threatened, it feels like you’re threatened. Plus, Tatum is the kind of person who forms really strong attachments to things and people. That’s what makes her so fun to be around. Tatum says she never thought of it like that. She’ll figure it out later, but as for Shiloh, he has a big match with Saints! Yeah, he’s so excited! Biggest moment of his life! He’s watched every Ricky Saints match the past six months, even made a simulator to study how Saints strings his moves together. Wow, so cool!

Kali says that’s the problem with the NXT Women’s Division. Kali is gonna be THE difference maker up in here! And if that has to start with checking Jaida, then so be it. Jaida says okay, we’re having none of that. Jaida stands up, Kali steps up, but the rest of the women step in so this doesn’t get physical. But to the point, with all this change, who pulls ahead as the new alpha female of NXT?

You blindsided me, and you think you did your big one. You think you had your moment.”
But Izzi, Lola feels sorry for you! Because Izzi can’t do anything on her own, and the moment she does, she is getting knocked out! Lola is here in this ring, no waiting, no hiding, and she wants Izzi to come out here so everyone can see what Lola’s about to do to her! The fans cheer, and Lola says she already told us she was gonna be the realest champion this place has ever seen! No excuses, just a straight up fight! So Izzi, mama, show her what you got! But Shawn Spears responds on the tron. “Hola, Lola. You really didn’t think this through, did you? Especially after what happened last week. But listen, champ, some free advice.

Myles asks what the heck was that! Which part? Myles getting dropped by Kam Hendrix or Tavion dropping Tony D? Myles says he will handle Kam, but he wants to know why Tavion attacked Tony. Uh, that’s Tavion getting his opportunity! That’s him kicking down the door. But that’s not like Tavion. Oh, so Tavion can’t shine with Myles? The spotlight ain’t big enough for the both of them? As if it wasn’t exactly the same thing Myles did to Ethan. But no, now that Myles has a title, he’s gonna act different. Myles says let’s not do that. What he’s saying is, that caught him by surprise. But Tavion is right, NXT is prime for the taking. There are guys coming from all over!
Like that Tristan Angels guy, Kam Hendrix, and that big guy hitting a moonsault! Tavion says add him to the list, champ. Tavion heads out, but Keanu steps in. Keanu says he told Tony, and now he tells Myles, this place is full of sharks, and they’re circling. And you are looking at the Great White. Keanu heads back out, will Myles have to watch his back from now on?

Jackson Drake says, “Beep, beep, beep, beep, birthday alert!” Drake pats Ricky Smokes on the shoulder and Smokes says thanks, guys. But just so they know, Drake says things are looking up. And not just cuz Miss Micah’s tall, heh heh. Brad Baylor says yeah, the reality of it is, NXT is changing. Everyone knows Smokes & Brad have the tag division on lock, so now it is Drake’s chance to stand out. For real! New people jumping railings, out of the sky, dudes offering gifts for title shots?! What?! Drake says now he has Micah. Ever since last week, he just feels he’s on top of the world! No one can touch them! He can take on anything! He’s in there like swimwear!
But then Jasper Troy steps in. The MonStar says, “Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. Jackson, you’ve got a wide mouth, but not much to show for it. Luckily, your boys have these tag titles. You’re focused on dating apps, you should be focused on gold.” Drake asks what Troy just said, and Troy says someone just got rage baited. If he wants a date so bad, Drake VS Troy in the ring, next week. Troy leaves, Swipe Right says chill. But will Dr. Thirst be able to take a bite out of big bad Troy? Or will Drake be the one facing heartbreak while Troy heads for a title?

Lani runs up, goes for a roll-up, but Wren sits on it! TWO and Lani sunset flips it! TWO and Wren sits on the cover, ONE! Wren runs back up but into a shove! Lani talks trash, but Wren TACKLES Lani! Wren then turns Lani over, hooks up the legs, and scissors a leg for a modified toehold!
The fans rally as Lani endures, but Lani reaches back to headlock. Wren slips free to hammerlock, but Lani fights to her feet. Lani ELBOWS free, then headlocks. Lani hits the takeover, but Wren powers her way tot he headscissors. The fans rally but Lani kips up, only for Wren to wrangle her back down! Lani kips free again, cartwheels, but ends up back in the headscissor hold! Lani kips up again, but is brought right back down! Lani flips over, has Wren’s leg, but Wren floats to a headlock. Lani CLUBS Wren down for that, then stands her up. Lani goes to buckle bump but Wren blocks! Wren ELBOWS Lani, then whips Lani to ropes. Lani reverses, Wren RUNS her over, then things keep moving! Lani manages to power her way through and dump Wren, but Wren sunset flips it! TWO, and Lani goes to a corner. Wren storms up, whips corner to corner, but Lani reverses. Wren goes up, but Lani blocks the over to THROW Wren down! Wren writhes and clutches her knee, but Lani pushes her down. Lani stomps away on the bad leg, then DDTS the foot! Wren writhes more but Lani steps on her leg. Lani puts Wren’s leg on the ropes to stand on it again!
The ref counts, Lani stops at 4, then stalks Wren. Lani drags Wren around, hooks the leg up, and SNAP LOCKS it! Wren writhes again but Lani just soaks up the heat. Lani drags Wren around, steps through, and has a standing toehold! Lani endures, keeps her shoulders up, and Kendal coaches her. Wren moves around, kicks at Lani with the free leg, and kicks her way free! Lani hurries back but Wren BODY BLOWS! And BODY BLOWS! And BODY BLOWS again! Lani sputters but Wren whips her to ropes. Lani reverses to kick the bad leg out! Lani then drags Wren back up for a SHIN BREAKER! Wren falls and writhes while Lani soaks up more heat.
Lani drags Wren, snapmares, and she twists the bad leg. Wren endures as she moves around again, and NXT returns to single picture. Lani keeps on the toehold but Wren kicks and kicks and kicks free again! Wren then catches Lani to a cradle, TWO! Lani pulls Wren’s hair, lifts, but Wren sunset flips! TWO, and Lani CHOP BLOCKS the leg! Wren writhes again but Lani doesn’t stop. Lani steps over on the bad leg, but Wren BOOTS her out of the ring! Wren hobbles but Lani is back! Wren jumps the chop block to CHOP Lani! And CHOP again! The fans fire up as Wren DOUBLE CHOPS! And LARIATS! Then she dodges a shot to LARIAT Lani again!
The fans fire up with Wren as she shakes the bad leg out. Wren runs up in the corner to SPLASH! Then BUTTERFLY PLEX! Cover, TWO! Lani survives but the fans cheer on “WREN Q C C! WREN Q C C!” Wren underhooks again but Lani blocks! Lani wrenches out, kicks the bad leg, then brings Wren up again. Lani wrenches and fireman’s carries, but Wren slips free! O’Conner Roll, TWO! Wren flounders but Lani runs up! Wren DUMPS Lani to the apron! Lani KICKS the bad leg again! The fans boo but Lani slingshots for the CUTTER! Wren sputters but Lani goes up the corner! Lani aims for the FROG SPLASH but onto knees! Cover, TWO!
Lani survives the turnaround but Wren hurries to get the arm! FINAL WRENCH!! But Wren’s bad leg won’t let her bridge! Lani is up, and she wrenches Wren into the ANGLE SLAM! Then Lani puts Wren in the drop zone for her ONE OF A KIND SAULT! Cover, Lani wins!

Zaria speaks.
Looking at the burning wreckage that was Sol Ruca’s ship, “Much like a wave, you were a thing of beauty from a distance. But up close, you were drowning me until I finally opened my eyes and remembered who I am.” The vision of Sol fades dithers away, and Zaria says she doesn’t make compromises, she doesn’t let anyone extinguish her. She burned through the tide until Sol was evaporated. And now that Sol is gone, all she sees is the path forward. Zaria will scorch everyone and everything in her way! The Agent of Change is ready to change the landscape, but will she truly shape NXT in her image?
Ricky Saints VS Shiloh Hill!
While the Absolute is already advertised for SmackDown, he has a score to settle here in NXT. Granted, Ricky’s been the one talking down to Shiloh, and was the one who wanted to tip the scales in Ethan Page’s favor against Tony D, only for Shiloh to stand up to him. Will Saints get one last win on his way out? Or will NXT now belong to #ToothlessAggression?
The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally, but then Saints CLUBS Shiloh while he’s not looking! Saints fires off, then CHOPS and ROCKS Shiloh in the corner. Saints stomps away, but he stops as the ref counts. The fans rally for Shiloh and he fires hands! Saints KNEES low, bumps Shiloh off buckles, but then Shiloh turns things around! DOUBLE CHOP! Saints is stinging but Shiloh whips. Saints reverses and ELBOWS Shiloh down! Saints stomps Shiloh, drags him up, and ELBOWS him! Saints brings Shiloh up but Shiloh fires body shots and haymakers! Shiloh blocks a kick, ducks the enzigiri, and he deadlifts Saints onto the ropes!
Shiloh CLUBS away on Saints’ back, then he winds up to DOUBLE CHOP! The fans cheer as Shiloh KNEE LIFTS Saints to the floor! Shiloh goes out after Saints, brings him up, and CLUBS him again. Shiloh whips but Saints tiger feints on the apron to kick Shiloh down! Saints strikes a pose, but Shiloh crawls under the ring! Saints goes to fetch Shiloh, stomps at him, but then yanks out… a dummy?! Shiloh made a double of himself, and Shiloh CANNONBALLS from the steps! The fans fire up for the unorthodox genius, and he shakes hands with his dummy. Shiloh cradles and dances with his dummy while NXT goes picture in picture.
Shiloh carries his dummy, perhaps nicknamed “Jason” given the mask it wears, and sits it on the barriers. Shiloh goes back for Saints, brings him up, and whips him at the ring again. Saints rolls in, staggers to his feet, and Shiloh scoops to SLAM! Then FIST DROP! Saints scrambles away, Shiloh runs up, but Saints FLAPJACK HOTSHOTS Shiloh down! Saints rains down fists fast, but stops so he can bring Shiloh up. Saints bumps Shiloh off buckles, CLUBS away, then ROCKS Shiloh with a forearm. The ref counts again but Saints snapmares Shiloh down for a JUMP KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO!
Saints is frustrated but he CLUBS Shiloh again. And ROCKS him with another forearm. Shiloh slumps against the ropes but Saints brings him to the corner. Shiloh fires back with body shots and haymakers, and he backs Saints down. Shiloh whips, Saints reverses, and Shiloh hits buckles! Saints hurries to stomp away on Shiloh in the corner! The ref counts, Saints stops, and he again snapmares Shiloh. Saints KICKS Shiloh in the back, then grabs the arms for a motorcycle stretch! Shiloh endures, reaches out, and fights up to his feet. Shiloh RAMS Saints into a corner, then fires off body shots! Shiloh RAMS into Saints, then whips corner to corner.
Shiloh runs up, but Saints dodges! Shiloh hits buckles again, and Saints runs to DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Shiloh survives but saints stays on him. They throw hands as NXT returns to single picture, and the fans rally behind Shiloh. Shiloh ROCKS and whips Saints, but Saints crossbodies, only for Shiloh to catch him! But Saints makes it a DDT! Cover, TWO! Shiloh survives and Saints grows frustrated. The fans rally up while Saints scuffs Shiloh. Saints kicks Shiloh, but Shiloh rises up. Saints reels Shiloh in, REVOLUTION- NO, Shiloh powers out of the DDT, then scoops to POWERSLAM! Both men are down but the fans fire up!
Shiloh rises up, Saints ROCKS him, but Shiloh just roars! the fans fire upas Shiloh DECKS Saints, DECKS him again, then scoops and DROPS him! Whip and scoop, TILT-O-WHIRL SLAM! Cover, TWO! Saints survives but Shiloh drags him up. Saints JAWBREAKERS free, but Shiloh HEADBUTTS in return! And then the IMPLDER SENTON but into a body scissors! Saints has the REAR NAKED CHOKE! Shiloh fights the scissors while the fans rally up, and Shiloh moves around. Saints is a backpack on Shiloh, but Shiloh swings Saints around to back suplex! Saints lands out, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and ABSOLUTE SPEARS! Cover, TWO!!
Shiloh survives and the fans cheer but Saints is furious! Saints fires a forearm, Shiloh fires back, and repeat. The fans rally and even duel as the shots keep going! Saints UPPERCUTS, Shiloh ROCKS Saints, repeat! Shiloh ROCKS, whips, and POP-UP FOREARMS! Saints is down, Shiloh hits the IMPLODER! Cover, TWO! Saints survives but Shiloh snarls. Shiloh goes to a corner, climbs up top, but Saints staggers around. He shoves the ref into the rope to trip Shiloh up! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Saints is wily as always. Saints goes up after Shiloh, brings him up to the very top, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! Cover, TWO!!
The fans fire up as Shiloh survives! Saints is frustrated, but he SLAPS Shiloh around. Saints brings Shiloh over to a corner, SLAPS and CLUBS him, then he goes up the ropes. Saints SMACKS Shiloh, and the fake tooth comes out! Saints goes Old School, but #ToothlessAggression has been activated! Shiloh BOOTS the ropes to trip Saints onto his absolute! Shiloh SHAKES the ropes to make it worse! Shiloh then BOOTS Saints down! Shiloh goes out, but Saints FLAPJACKS him off the steps! Then Saints reels Shiloh in, Canadian Rack, ROSHAMBEAUX on the floor! Saints puts Shiloh in, and he grabs a chair!
The fans boo but Saints doesn’t care, he’s head to SmackDown! The ref stops Saints from using the chair, and Shiloh ROCKS Saints! Drop toehold onto the chair! Then the WHISPER TO THE BEAST! Cover, Shiloh wins!!

Whether or not the simulator prepared Shiloh for this exact fight, that training certainly paid off! Toothless and ruthless, will Shiloh soon find himself on top of NXT?
Tony D’Angelo meets with the heads of NXT.
The champion sits down with Stone, HBK, and Bloom. Tony says Keanu is right: The sharks are circling, and they got one on him. But y’know what? Tony loves the chaos! HBK says Tony won that title, Tony IS NXT Champion. Now, time for Tony to prove it. Damn right! LET’S EFFIN’ GO! HBK likes the fire as Tony D heads out, but just how chaotic will things get in this new chapter of the silver ‘n’ black era?
My Thoughts:
A great NXT, especially with them being much more… transparent, I suppose, on how they’re handling call-ups and the new names coming into NXT. For one, I really liked the chaotic nature of bringing such new names out. I’m rather surprised Tristan Angels is already making his NXT debut when he really only just started on Evolve (from what episodes have aired, anyway). Kam Hendrix making his move also went well, and while Evil and Tavion got the spotlight, they were very sneaky about having Will Kroos, formerly of Pro-Wrestling Noah and Progress Wrestling, show up here. And I like Tony’s character saying he welcomes it all. We could get some great stuff on the road to the next NXT PLE, which I believe is Great American Bash in July.
Speaking of which, the news about NXT being fully on CW here in the States is… interesting. I certainly would not have guessed PLEs would end up on TV through CW, and they absolutely better make sure they air at the same time on ALL CW stations nationwide. I am sick and tired of El Paso CW not airing NXT at the right time, I am NOT stomaching a late PLE. Moving on from that, the DarkState dysfunction continues to grow, and I like that Cutler & Osiris are the ones keeping order. If the group is meant to be four equal parts, then it’s about time because those two always felt secondary to both Dion and Saquon.
Very good promo from Vanity Project, and I oddly like that Drake is committed to Micah (formerly Bayley Matthews), that he likes her for her. Jackson Drake VS Jasper Troy is going to be a really good match, and I feel like Micah Matthews should get involved to become the female muscle to Vanity Project, like a modern day Chyna in DX. Really good stuff with Birthright and the formerly WWE ID/Evolve talent. I hope their “attack” on Dorian isn’t to cover up for an injury. Though, maybe he’s in LFG? I have seen various Evolve and WWE ID names in the trailer, but I don’t get all the playing around with kayfabe just to cover for who is on that show.
Either way, great tag win for Legacy & Prosper, and great spot for Wilder to debut as he backs them up. Maybe DVD is just fine, and now we can get an 8 Man Tag of Birthright VS Legacy, Prosper, Wilder & DVD. Very good match from Lizzy VS Lyons, and naturally Lizzy gets the win in her debut. Lizzy’s got a solid character and mic skills, but time will tell how quickly she rises up the rank. Very good promo from the women’s locker room, but there’s some irony to Thea worrying about new talent showing up when there were Evolve talent making cameos in that promo. Kali calling Jaida out is great stuff, that will be a great feud in the background of the title stories.
Speaking of which, very good promo from Lola with The Culling, and Iguana showing up was very well done. The Mixed Tag will be a great match, but win, lose, or draw, this will of course give us Lola VS Izzi for the title. Very good promo from Lani with WrenQCC, and a very good match from Lani VS Wren. Lani is definitely building momentum towards her own title match, but that might not be until Great American Bash or some time after. Very good promo from Zaria, though that video was clearly helped by AI. Zaria herself can build momentum towards a title match, and seeing her feud with some of the other contenders would be good stuff.
Tatum and Shiloh had a good promo, but it’s a little silly for them to pretend Blake is legit dead/dying when she was advertised for SmackDown. Though, I suppose Tony D “killed off” Pretty Deadly before they showed up on SmackDown, so whatever. Shiloh VS Saints was a very good main event match, and that was a great win for Shiloh. Shiloh himself can get involved in a title story, but how fun would it be if he and Tatum were both the North American Champions at the same time? They aren’t officially a kayfabe couple, not even sure if they’re a shoot couple, but it’d be really fun to have the titles be part of their dynamic since they have such great chemistry.
