King: Tegan Nox And Kay Lee Ray Steal The Show

In Chris King’s opinion, NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray and Tegan Nox stole the show on this week’s episode of NXT UK. 

The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard Tegan Nox took the NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray to the limit in a TakeOver-worthy match on Wednesday. Nox recently returned from her serious knee injury that took her out of the 2018 Mae Young Classic. She made her NXT UK debut at TakeOver Cardiff where she was spotted in the crowd. On the September 11th episode of NXT UK, she made her in-ring debut in a matter of seconds and was victorious.

Following her quick victory, she was greeted by the NXT UK Women’s Champion who did not take kindly to all the buzz surrounding her triumphant return and wanted to humiliate her reminiscent to what she did to Toni Storm at Cardiff. Nox showed no fear and told the champ “anytime, anywhere.”

When the bell rang, Nox came out of the gate firing on all cylinders bringing to the fight to Ray. The champ attempted to retreat but the hometown hero didn’t allow it. Maybe she should have if she knew the pain and agony she would experience in this match. Once they returned back to the ring Ray was like a shark smelling blood in the water, as she began her relentless attack on her knee.

Nox fought valiantly to withstand the pain digging down deep pulling out every move in her arsenal including a jaw-dropping Molly-Go-Round for a near-fall. This was an incredible match and watching birth competitors throwing everything at each other including the kitchen sink made the match feel more special.

Nox and Ray fought on the ring apron and The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard attempted to hit a Shining Wizard but missed Ray and smashed right into the ring post giving the wily Champion to capitalize. Ray rolled her back into the ring and hit her Gory Bomb finisher to secure the victory. After Nox’s show-stealing performance, expect her to become the number-one contender for the NXT UK Women’s Championship very soon!
