Did you really think HPW’s #CelebrationofGreatness was complete?

The inaugural HyruleMania is only getting bigger! There will be ANOTHER match added to the card, for a new title that isn’t so new to HPW!

The King of Hyrule holds another press conference!

King Nicolas Foolyere welcomes the media that’s present and the viewers at home tuning in for this special announcement. The Hebra event on the Biron Snowshelf gave us new contenders for the HPW Trios Championships in The Doom Bringers, a new contender for the HPW Termina Championship in Osphala, and a new contender in the HPW Goddess Championship in Zelda. There was also the challenge issued by Ghirahim and accepted by Rauru, with Rauru’s wrestling career on the line. HPW has signed these matches to paper, but there will be another match added to the card to make it truly a #CelebrationOfGreatness!

For those who have been following along these last few months, obviously there was a lot going on with the HPW Men’s Division championship, or rather championships. When Ghirahim won the title off Groose, he turned it into the self-indulgent “Exquisite Championship.” As Ghirahim feuded with Igos du Ikana over the title, Igos brought the TCW Championship to HPW, and then won the right to call himself THE HPW Termina Champion. But HPW wishes to reinstate the foundation they were building upon. And so, at HyruleMania, HPW will crown a brand new DEATH MOUNTAIN CHAMPION!

Media members do marvel at this design, and King Nicolas points out to those that may not know, this belt is based on the “classically iconic” design from DMW, Death Mountain Wrestling. Igos wanting to honor TCW inspired HPW to do the same about other wrestling promotions in Hyrule’s history, and what promotion better and bigger than the classic DMW? “The lineage that dates back to the days of Goro Sammartino, Pedro Zora-les and The Iron Sheikah will continue on with this title.” But for the first time ever, that lineage will expand to be an OPEN DIVISION! Much like the Trios Championships and the HPW Triforce Championship, this new HPW Death Mountain title will be open to male and female wrestlers worthy of it!

And so, to crown a new Death Mountain Champion, HPW has chosen for Fin Balure, Volga, the Great Fairy, Nabooru and Ashei to compete in a FURIOUS 5 WAY LADDER MATCH! They will have to climb up and truly rise above to prove they are worthy! King Nicolas wishes all five competitors luck at HyruleMania!

My Thoughts:

Woo! A third midcard title that is also the third open division! And I really like how embedding/embossing the mountain and letters look on the faceplate. I’m going to have a lot of fun writing a ladder match, but I feel like there’s no easy way to recreate the unpredictability of the ladders themselves without just copying something from an actual match.
