The Chairshot crew comes together to present their picks for the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs! (For entertainment purposes only, of course).

Welcome to the second week of the NFL second season–the Divisional Round Playoffs! As we continue to expand our world here at The Chairshot (Sports… Entertainment… and Sports Entertainment!), our crack staff has put together their picks for this week’s games. Games are listed in chronological order.

Odds are provided by the William Hill Sportsbook, as of 12:00 PM Thursday.

Your panel, and their records against the spread after Week 1

  • Rey Ca$h – (@itsreycash) – 4-2
  • Dave Ungar (@AttitudeAgg) – 4-2
  • DPP – (@itsmedpp) – 3-3
  • Steve Cook (@stevecook84) – 3-3
  • Patrick O’Dowd (@wrestlngrealist) – 3-3
  • Greg DeMarco (@ChairshotGreg) – 3-3
  • PC Tunney (@PCTunney) – 2-4
  • Andrew Balaz (@IWCWarChief) – 2-4

(Last week Tampa Bay won by 8–which was the spread–and that counts as a cover for Washington.)

We will track records straight up as well as against the spread, but the overall winner will be determined against the spread. On with the for-entertainment-purposes-only picks!

NFL Divisional Round Playoffs – Saturday

4:35 PM – LA Rams @ Green Bay Packers (-6.5)

The Rams bring a league leading defense (according to Football Outsider’s DVOA) to Green Bay against MVP frontrunner Aaron Rodgers and a high powered Packers offense. The health of Aaron Donald could be a major factor in this game, along with Jalen Ramsey’s attempt to contain Davante Adams.

  • PC Tunney (@PCTunney) – Green Bay -6.5
  • Rey Ca$h – (@itsreycash) – LA Rams +6.5
  • Dave Ungar (@AttitudeAgg) – Green Bay -6.5
  • Andrew Balaz (@IWCWarChief) – Green Bay -6.5
  • DPP – (@itsmedpp) – Green Bay -6.5
  • Steve Cook (@stevecook84) – LA Rams +6.5
  • Patrick O’Dowd (@wrestlngrealist) – Green Bay -6.5
  • Greg DeMarco (@ChairshotGreg) – Green Bay -6.5

6:15 PM – Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills (-2.5)

The Ravens bring a run-based offense to Buffalo, who gave up over 5 yards per carry to the Indianapolis Colts last week and four runs of over 12 yards. Keeping Lamar Jackson in the pocket will play to the Bills advantage, but keeping Josh Allen in the pocket will do the same for Baltimore.

To me, this comes down to the Ravens controlling the Bills, keeping the Buffalo offense off the field and minimizing an offensive explosion. But Baltimore could easily do the same…

  • PC Tunney (@PCTunney) – Buffalo -2.5
  • Rey Ca$h – (@itsreycash) – Baltimore +2.5
  • Dave Ungar (@AttitudeAgg) – Buffalo -2.5
  • Andrew Balaz (@IWCWarChief) – Buffalo -2.5
  • DPP – (@itsmedpp) – Baltimore +2.5
  • Steve Cook (@stevecook84) – Baltimore +2.5
  • Patrick O’Dowd (@wrestlngrealist) – Baltimore +2.5
  • Greg DeMarco (@ChairshotGreg) – Buffalo -2.5

NFL Divisional Round Playoffs – Sunday

3:05 PM – Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs (-10)

Cleveland had every reason to lose to the Steelers last week, and still dominated Pittsburgh. Was that Cleveland or Pittsburgh? We’ll find out on Sunday. If the Cleveland run game can get going and keep Patrick Mahomes off the field, an upset could be brewing. Remember, we are picking against the spread, and this is our biggest one of the weekend, with KC giving 10 at home against the Browns. This one could be a thriller.

  • PC Tunney (@PCTunney) – Kansas City -10
  • Rey Ca$h – (@itsreycash) – Cleveland +10
  • Dave Ungar (@AttitudeAgg) – Kansas City -10
  • Andrew Balaz (@IWCWarChief) – Cleveland +10
  • DPP – (@itsmedpp) – Kansas City -10
  • Steve Cook (@stevecook84) – Kansas City -10
  • Patrick O’Dowd (@wrestlngrealist) – Kansas City -10
  • Greg DeMarco (@ChairshotGreg) – Cleveland +10

6:40 PM – Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints (-3)

New Orleans won both regular season match-ups, and I am sure you’ve heard the old one about how difficult it is to beat the same team three times in a season. Old Man Brady vs. Old Man Brees is the predominant story, but Alvin Kamara has shown the ability to completely take games over. After 17 games together, could Tampa Bay be clicking on all cylinders and advance to the NFC Championship?

  • PC Tunney (@PCTunney) – New Orleans -3
  • Rey Ca$h – (@itsreycash) – Tampa Bay +3
  • Dave Ungar (@AttitudeAgg) – Tampa Bay +3
  • Andrew Balaz (@IWCWarChief) – Tampa Bay +3
  • DPP – (@itsmedpp) – New Orleans -3
  • Steve Cook (@stevecook84) – New Orleans -3
  • Patrick O’Dowd (@wrestlngrealist) – Tampa Bay +3
  • Greg DeMarco (@ChairshotGreg) – Tampa Bay +3

A spot in the conference championship game is at stake for the players and coaches on the field, and bragging rights hang in the balance for our Chairshot Crew. See who comes out of Week 2 with a lead!
