After what was surely a frustrating loss on AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley jumps back in the ring on Dark! Will he give whoever is in his way a Paradigm Shift?

Cruz shows guts as he dropkicks Moxley before the bell! Cruz fires off in the corner, Moxley shoves him away but Cruz dodges and ducks to tilt-o-whirl headscissors! Moxley ends up in the corner again and Cruz back body blocks, but into a waistlock! Moxley uses a GERMAN SUPLEX to toss Cruz! Moxley is pissed even more now and he drags Cruz up for an X-PLEX! Moxley KICKS and KICKS Cruz again, then clubs away with crossface forearms! Cruz is in a daze, Moxley turns him with a double chicken wing cover, TWO! Moxley stalks Cruz to a corner, drags him up and CHOPS him in the corner! Cruz flops down but Moxley says this is just gonna get worse.

Moxley puts Cruz up top, climbs up and CLAWS Cruz’s back! The ref reprimands, counts, and Moxley stops. Cruz resists the superplex, throws body shots then claws Moxley’s face! Moxley staggers back but he avoids Cruz’s leap. Moxley hits a ROLLING ELBOW to rock Cruz! Cruz dodges the clothesline to fire off strikes, then he runs, but leaps into Moxley’s arms! Moxley shifts around to have a LIFITING GUILLOTINE! Cruz tries to use body shots but he fades out fast! Moxley wins!

Bear Bronson & Bear Boulder are feeling really good after winning alongside Jersey’s Finest against Luther, Serpentico and The Hybrid2. But now things are just 2v2, will the Bear Country boys crush the Original Death Dealer and SNAKEMAN all over again?

The teams sort out and Boulder starts against Serpentico. Serpentico and Boulder circle, feel out the grapple, then Luther takes a swipe! Serpentico hops on with a sleeper but Boulder isn’t even bothered! Boulder powers out and Serpentico bounces off him! Serpentico dodges in the corner, runs in but bounces off Boulder again! Boulder scoops Serpentico up to a military press and slam! Boulder flexes then storms over to drag Serpentico up. Tag to Bronson and Bear Country mugs Serpentico. Bronson whips Boulder in and Boulder hits a splash! Boulder feeds Serpentico to Bronson’s back elbow!

Bronson drags Serpentico up, whips him to Bear Country’s corner, then hooks him up in the Gory Especial! Serpentico endures as Bronson marches around but Luther gets in to pull him free. Boulder protests and the ref is busy with him, so the ref misses Serpentico dropkick a leg out and Luther BOOT Bronson! Luther throws Bronson out hard then gets away. The ref finally gets Boulder to stop, but Luther whips Bronson into railing! Luther goes after Bronson more, puts him in the ring, and Serpentico splashes down! Cover, TWO! Tag to Luther, Luther runs and BULLDOGS Serpentico onto Bronson. And then hammers Serpentico’s head on Bronson’s chest!

Luther drops a knee, tags Serpentico back in, and Luther drags Bronson up. Bronson fires off hands but Luther BOOTS Bronson back down! Serpentico gets in to stomp Bronson’s leg. Serpentico pulls on the leg but he can’t turn Bronson for the Half Crab! Luther tags back in, and he throws Serpentico down to give a DDT to Bronson’s leg! Luther drags Bronson up to whip him into the corner. Luther hits a corner clothesline, tags in Serpentico and he whips Serpentico in, but Bronson LARIATS! Bronson LARIATS Luther, too, and fans fire up! Bronson’s leg slows him down, but he still manages the hot tag to Boulder!

Boulder DOUBLE LARAITS Chaos Project, then SLAMS Serpentico! And then scoop SLAMS Luther! Boulder pops Serpentico to a fireman’s carry, then grabs Luther, DDT SAMOAN DROP COMBO! Boulder calls for Bronson while dragging Serpentico over. Tag to Bronson, Bronson hobbles to a corner, but Luther anchors him! The Fam will be joining the Mad King on Dynamite in a Six Man Tag against their many enemies, but for now, they look to sharpen their edge. Will JSP and Mr. A1 simply be appetizers before the feast this Wednesday?

The second Butcher and Blade hit the ring, they hit JSP and Scott! The ref reprimands but the Fam throws their opponents out to throw CHOPS and CLUBBING forearms! Blade chokes Scott against the barriers while Bunny mocks JSP’s pain. Blade lets off on Scott so he can throw JSP in the ring. The bell rings and Butcher gives JSP an URENAGE! Then he scoops JSP to tag in Blade. Blade doesn’t even take his jacket off before the LAWN DART KNEE! Blade paces, drags JSP up and tosses him to Scott. Scott tags in and now Blade uses his jacket to CHOKE him!

Blade mugs Scott, ROCKS him with a haymaker, then CHOPS him off his feet! Blade brings Scott up to back suplex but Scott lands on his feet. Scott SLAPS Blade, but Blade just gets pissed! Blade chases Scott out of the ring, and Butcher CLOBBERS Scott! Bunny Allie laughs again as Butcher puts Scott in. Blade corner clotheslines, tags Butcher in and then whips Scott in for Butcher to corner splash! Butcher feeds Scott to Blade’s SPINEBUSTER while Butcher CLOBBERS JSP! The bell rings and Shanna circles with Renee. They tie up, go around, and Renee wrenches to a wristlock. Renee yanks on the arm a couple times then eggs Shanna on. Shanna rolls, handsprings and wrenches back to give those yanks back, too. Shanna hammerlocks, Renee slips through and wrangles Shanna down with a keylock. Shanna bridges, kips up but Renee pulls her back down. Shanna kips up again, Renee throws her down again, but fans rally up. Shanna kips up again to throw Renee this time! Shanna fires up and arm-drags Renee around! Renee gets up, Shanna gets around and redirects her to huricanrana Renee to the corner!

Fans cheer while Renee steadies herself. Shanna brings Renee up, CLUBS her, but Renee throat chops! Renee throws haymakers then bumps Shanna off buckles. Renee stomps Shanna down, digs her boots in, but the ref backs her off. Renee stalks Shanna, drags her up but Shanna fires off hands! Renee ROCKS Shanna with a right, then whips her to ropes. Shanna reverses, Renee dodges and tilt-o-whirls, and has a hanging armbar! Shanna powers out, shifts out of the hold to sidewalk slam Renee down! Fans fire up with Shanna and she rallies with clotheslines! Shanna runs at Renee in a corner to forearm smash! And CHOP, forearm, repeat!

The bell rings and Vert circles with Tay. They tie up, fans rally, and Tay hops on to get an armbar takedown! Vert clasps hands and rolls to a cover, ONE! Tay gets around, ripcord and sayanagi to another, and then another! Tay isn’t done yet, she rolls and sits Tay up to BOOT her down! Tay just shrugs as Vert bails out. Tay goes to the apron, Vert avoids the jump but Jay is in the way. Vert sees she’s stuck, but she dodges Tay’s clothesline and Tay stops herself from hitting Jay! Vert boots Tay into Jay, then bumps Tay off the apron! Vert puts Tay in, hurries after her, and drags her up to whip her to a corner. Tay reverses, Vert stops herself to come back with an Eddy Gordo Kick!

Vert kicks again, then again but Tay blocks and KNEES back! Tay whips Vert corner to corner, then storms over to KNEE her again! The bell rings and Kingston storms up to Solow. Solow and Kingston tie up, Kingston waistlocks but Solow wrenches free to a wristlock. Kingston reverses to hammerlock, headlock and hit the takeover. Solow keeps his shoulders up, Kingston grinds the hold but Solow uses headscissors to pry free! Kingston can’t kip free so he gets a ropebreak with feet. The ref counts, Solow lets go and Kingston complains. Kingston claims there was hair pulling but Kingston has no hair to pull! Kingston and Solow tie up, Kingston pushes Solow to a corner but Solow dodges the chop to fire off body shots! Solow rocks Kingston, whips him but Kingston reverses to run Solow over!

Kingston kicks Solow while he’s down, drops elbows, then covers, ONE! Kingston is annoyed but he digs knuckles into Solow’s head! The ref reprimands, Kingston throws down fists, and then argues with the ref. Kingston gets up, he digs boots into Solow’s head at the ropes, but stops as the ref counts. Kingston rolls his eyes, but Solow kicks back. Solow throws hands, forearms, but Kingston CHOPS him off his feet! Kingston drags Solow up, suplexes, and then SLAMS Solow down! Cover, TWO! Kingston keeps on Solow with a chinlock and grinds him down but fans rally up. Solow fights up, throws body shots, then throws haymakers!

Solow runs, gets around Kingston, but Kingston catches him for a butterfly suplex! Cover, TWO! Kingston grows frustrated but he gives headbutts to Solow while he’s down! Kingston sits Solow up to KICK him in the back! Kingston whips Solow but Solow gets around to arm-drag and dropkick! Solow comes back to SCREW HIGH KICK Kingston down! Cover, TWO! Fans fire up as Solow gets to his feet. Solow goes to the apron, climbs up the ropes, but Kingston CHOPS him first! And CHOPS him again! And even headbutts him again! Kingston sits Solow up, climbs up, but Solow resists the suplex! Solow headbutts and Kingston goes down!

Solow adjusts, aims, and DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO!! Solow’s stomps were not the coup de grace and Kingston survives! Kingston does sputter a bit, but Solow staggers back over. Brandon Cutler VS Misterioso!

The Dungeon Master must rebuild a new win streak after losing to Luchasaurus, but if he did it once, he can do it again! But will he be able to get that saving throw against The Mysterious One?

The bell rings, Cutler and Misterioso circle and tie up. Misterioso headlocks, Cutler powers out but things speed up. Cutler avoids the handspring but not the huricanrana! Misterioso sees Cutler bail out, and then FLIES! Direct hit with the tope conjilo! Fans fire up as Misterioso puts Cutler in and slingshots to knee-board senton! Cover, TWO! Fans rally, Misterioso clubs Cutler then brings him around to waistlock. Misterioso back suplexes but Cutler lands on his feet. Cutler waistlocks, Misterioso switches, Cutler bucks the O’Conner roll to go out and springboard in, FLYING FOREARM! Cutler keeps on Misterioso with a leg sweep and slingshot senton! Then the LONG DISTANCE LEG DROP! Cover, TWO!

Cutler keeps his focus while Misterioso shakes the cobwebs out. Cutler runs corner to corner but into boots! Misterioso somersaults to SHOTGUN Cutler down! Fans fire up as Misterioso drags Cutler to a drop zone. Misterioso goes up, MOONSAULT, but onto boots! Cutler gets up and aims at Misterioso, but Misterioso runs in! Cutler slips out, ROUNDHOUSES then shoulders, then SLINGSHOT ENZIGURIS! Cover, TWO! Misterioso is still in this but Cutler brings him back up. Misterioso shoves Cutler to ropes, but Cutler dumps Misterioso out. Cutler builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit with the tope suicida and Misterioso hits barriers!

Cutler grins as he brings Misterioso back up and in. Cutler aims from a corner, fans rally up and Misterioso stands, Cutler springboard CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO!! Cutler drags Misterioso up, throws forearms but Misterioso KICKS back! Misterioso dodges but runs into a BOOT! Cutler leaps to CROSSBODY again! Cover, TWO! Cutler keeps his cool and fans rally back up. Cutler drags Misterioso up, whips him to a corner but Misterioso reverses. Cutler goes up and over and leaps for yet another CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO!! Fuego del Sol VS Nick Comoroto w/ The Natural Nightmares!

The Fire of the Sun has not won once in AEW yet, but his fire is still burning! But will the Freak Beast put him out and prove he is worthy of joining the Nightmare Family?

The bell rings, Comoroto and Fuego circle, and Fuego rolls to avoid Comoroto’s grip. Fuego gets cornered and caught and Comoroto has a leg. Fuego keeps kicking until he’s free, but then he runs into a scoop! Fuego slips out and kicks, but Comoroto doesn’t flinch! Fuego runs, slides under and dropkicks Comoroto! Comoroto stays up, Fuego dropkicks again then dodges! Fuego runs into a scoop and USHIGOROSHI! Comoroto snarls as he drags Fuego back up, and CLUBS him back down! Comoroto drags Fuego up, bumps him off buckles, then RAMS into him with shoulders! The ref counts, Comoroto lets off at 4, and the Nightmare Family cheers as Comoroto TOSSES Fuego across the ring!

Fans want that “ONE MORE TIME!” so Comoroto hauls Fuego up to TOSS him again! Comoroto stalks Fuego back to the corner, drags him back up, but Fuego CHOPS back! That just makes Comoroto smirk! Comoroto puts Fuego up top to CHOP back! And then lifts him with one hand! Fuego escapes the one hand press, and BOOTS from a corner! And again! Comoroto just roars but he misses Fuego and Fuego fires off fast hands! Comoroto shoves Fuego down, Fuego dodges again and fires more forearms, but Comoroto knees Fuego down! Comoroto whips Fuego corner to corner, runs back in but hits only buckles!

Fans rally as Fuego drags Comoroto in but the tornado is denied! Comoroto TOSSES Fuego up into the air, catches him, and hits a POWERSLAM!! Cover, Comoroto wins!

That may not have been fast like Will Hobbs or Ricky Starks, but that was still dominant! Is it only a matter of time before the Freak Beast breaks through and has a golden opportunity of his own?

My Thoughts:

This was a very good episode of Dark, and I will say a lot of it was because they found a way to bring this close to one hour. They did that mostly by cutting out the entrances of the losing wrestler(s), otherwise known as giving them “jobber entrances.” And to be fair, it was pretty obvious which wrestlers were winning tonight, anyway, as it usually is for Dark. The one match that could’ve gone either way on paper would’ve been Bear Country VS Chaos Project. Both teams got full entrances, both teams are building into the mid-card of the Tag Division, but it was really good for Bear Country to get the win to be a strong Face team in that spot on the card. Butcher & Blade even want after them, it seems, as they were calling Bear Country out after their win.

There were some great surprises, though, such as Jurassic Express, Starks and Hobbs dealing with their opponents so quickly! Jurassic Express is showing that they’re aren’t just the fun-loving, flashy Faces. There was aggression and urgency, and though they still had their flashy combos, it was an impressive win for how fast it was. Starks and Hobbs are of course powering up because of the coming clash with Sting and Darby, but this might just be so that Sting looks impressive when he roughs them up before Revolution. Comoroto took more time with Fuego but that was perhaps to highlight his own strength and toughness while still allowing Fuego to have a spotlight on his speed. Comoroto still wins and he is officially Nightmare Family now, so that just means big things for him very soon.
