Who did HPW feel fills Igos du Ikana’s conditions?

Igos du Ikana put forth a challenge in regards to challengers for his HPW Termina Championship! Who are the fortunate four that will #FalltoRuin?

King Nicolas Foolyere has a new video message.

“Greetings, everyone! As you well know, I announced that HPW was working on finding contenders for the HPW Termina Championship, as Igos du Ikana wanted.” Going by what Igos said, Nicolas made sure there was a contender that fit each statement Igos made: someone in the tournament; someone not in the tournament; someone experienced; and someone new.

First, a contender that was in the Second Triforce Tournament! Given the 21 options among those who lost so far, this was perhaps the hardest decision to make. But after deliberation, the decision was made, and it will be Osphala! A Bracket of Wisdom semifinalist who has impressed since his return from injury, the Gleaming Yellow Light did lose under controversial circumstances, so perhaps this Fatal 4 Way will be a touch fairer than that.

Second, a contender that was not in the Second Triforce Tournament! Again, many options to choose from, but this wrestler has proven he has initiative and can go toe-to-toe with a champion already. The chosen contender is… Doomknocker! Knocker stepped up to Link, and his trio, the Doom Bringers, certainly brought the fight to the Trios Champions, Forged By Violence. Surely, Knocker can bring the fight again in a Fatal 4 Way free-for-all.

Third, a contender that is undoubtedly an experienced wrestler. The line had to be drawn, and a wrestler with a career longer than 10 years was considered “experienced” enough for this condition. There are several wrestlers who fit that description, but the chosen contender is… Rosso! The big, strong boulder thrower has over 15 years under his belt, and he’ll surely want to add a new title belt to that resume!

Lastly, a contender that is undoubtedly a new wrestler. In this case, a wrestler with a career no more than two years long would fit this condition, and yet there were still many options! So from the HPW Training Center, making their HPW debut in this match, will be… Teba! A very promising young Lucha-Rito has a golden opportunity, can he capitalize on it against three established names?

My Thoughts:

As a reminder, the HPW Termina Championship is meant as the solely male wrestler’s championship, in the same way the HPW Goddess Championship is solely a female wrestler’s championship, so only male wrestlers were in consideration. And there really were a lot of options to choose from, so I did my best to imagine a good match-up of styles. We have a technical in Osphala, a brawler in Knocker, a powerhouse in Rosso, and a high-flyer in Teba, so this match should be a lot of fun to write.
