HPW Death Mountain Champion, Gold Lynel, is chomping at the bit!

An open challenge victory is not enough! Gold Lynel demands more! And he’s storming into HPW Headquarters to do it! Will he get what he wants?

HPW Media follows Gold Lynel at a distance.

The One True Monster is demanding to speak with management. The assistant asks he be patient as they contact someone. A few moments later, Humpback Hook Halibut walks out and asks Lynel what’s going on. Lynel tells Halibut that he is growing impatient. “What was the point of you bringing me to this company if not to fight? What was the point of you giving me an opportunity at a title, this title, if I’m not going to defend it?” Well he just defended it a few weeks ago, so what’s the problem? Lynel had to take action himself! He’s not here for that! HPW needs to line up contenders and set up fights for him!

Hook admits Lynel is right. Hook will get management together, just like they did for the HPW Termina Championship contender’s match, and determine a worthy opponent for Lynel. How worthy? Hook isn’t sure and Lynel gets angrier. Hook says he’ll make sure Lynel’s challenger is a former champion. That gives HPW a lot of choices, from all the different divisions. Is that good enough for him? Lynel huffs but says that’s good enough. Lynel leaves, Hook sighs and then tells the assistant to call Nicolas and Starfish. “We’ve got work to do.”

My Thoughts:

I probably could’ve had this figured out earlier in the month, but now it makes sense that Lynel would get more impatient after seeing that the other titles were getting matches figured out. I also thought about doing another “open challenge” at the Triforce Anniversary, but if I had time to think that, then obviously I had time to whip this together and come up with an actual challenger. Not sure if I’ll have a follow up where a challenger is named or it’ll be a surprise for the Triforce Anniversary article. I’m leaning towards the latter.

This week on Bandwagon Nerds, the full Bandwagon returns to break down the explosive season finale of Invincible. Story lines all converge, and things take an unexpected turn as Mark Grayson is faced with an impossible choice to make. Speaking of impossible choices, the Nerds continue their review of Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2. This week’s episode was all about Matt’s choices and the ramifications of his decisions on those he cares about most. Last, but certainly not least, the guys review the latest episode of The Boys’ final season. The search for V1 continues, and why are our heroes trying to suddenly kill each other? All that, plus we review trailers for Clayface, Spider-Man: Noir, and Coyote v. Acme. It’s a big week here at the Bandwagon, and we hope you tune in!
