AJ’s IMPACT Wrestling Results & Review 5/13/21

The IMPACT before Under Siege is happening and massive matches under way. David Finlay against Karl Anderson, the six men in the number one contendership are in a six man tag team match up and Rosemary and Havok find out who will be the Number One Contender to the Virtuosa at Under Siege. Who knows what will happen or if we will see an appearance from the champ or not but he’s not defending it so… who actually cares right?

That indignant aura of the Balaz are on full effect, which means it’s time for the show!

Review:

Rosemary vs Havok

They give a “friendly” handshake before the… psychotics kick in. Both ladies going to blows but the neither of them can get the advantage, going pound for pound against each other until Havok hits the backbreaker and beats down Rosemary in the corner and works the neck and back of Rosemary.  After going to the well one too many times, Rosemary gets the advantage and even does an Exploder Suplex to stop Havok but after a few attempts of offense by Rosemary, Havok catches her and goes for the Tombstone to gain a championship match against Deonna this Saturday.
Aftermath: Speaking of Deonna, she jumps in to try to get an advantage against Havok but, Rosemary made sure that she didn’t escape Havok as Decay scare off Kimber and Susan to deliver a message)

Petey Williams vs Ace Austin vs Rohit Raju vs Acey Romero vs TJP vs El Phantasmo

Everyone goes and attacks Acey Romero right away, getting rid of him as it then settles to three, Ace Austin, Rohit and Petey Williams. As fighting goes on in the ring, the big boy comes back and people try stop him once again and ELP and TJP go back to the ring and ELP has some fun as people try to stop ELP from some tight rope walking, ending it with a Death Valley Driver to take a lot of the guys on the outside down.

As more action goes on and on during the break, TJP and Petey Williams fight inside, Rohit now gets a burst of energy to take the other two former Champions down before the big boy comes back in and ELP and Austin take out Acey Romero. Petey actually rolls in and lands a Canadian Destroyer on ELP but TJP breaks it and all hell breaks loose when everyone breaks out some moves to each other until TJP and Petey are left. Petey goes for another Destroyer but TJP counters to a Detonation Kick. He goes for the Mamba Splash but Phantasmo comes in with his own splash and lands the victory on Petey.

Because every Susan that we know in life has a camera, she goes to Scott D’Amore with evidence of cheating from Taylor Wilde and Tenille Dashwood and somehow complains to the manager enough to get a tag match at Under Siege.

Sam Beale vs Willie Mack

Willie gets a power and speed advantage right away against the younger competitor but Willie gets caught and Beale gets some offense in the corner going. After a little bit of trash talk though, Willie gets the pace in his favor. After a burst of energy and a 6 Start Splash, Willie Mack gets the winning ways again.
Aftermath: Morrissey comes in and beats down Willie, hitting a short armed Lariat and Big Boot as he stands over Willie.

Karl Anderson vs David Finlay

Karl starts it off early with some strikes, Finlay does some of his own but Good Brothers stick together and trip up David. As Karl gets some offense in, turnabout is fair play and gets tripped as well. Each time that Karl gets an advantage, the Good Brothers react and attack Finlay whenever they get so Karl never looks weak and Finlay can’t find an upperhand. As Eddie swings Kenny (the good one), David Finlay comes to his senses and gets to take it to Anderson. As David puts on his father’s Celtic Knot, Omega comes in and attacks David Finlay.
Aftermath: The Good Brothers plan to do the same they did last week but, the Tag Champs, Eddie and Kenny make the difference maker to scare off Omega and The Good Brothers.

Chris Myers vs Crazzy Steve

Steve gets the advantage, getting confused with what he’s doing but as Myers powders out and actually gets Taurus removed with some cowardly tactics and getting the advantage on Crazzy Steve, going hold for hold but with some tactics, foot on the ropes to be exact, Myers gets the win.
Aftermath: Since the match is over, Black Taurus comes back and beats down Brian Myers, placing the Card of Death on him.

Moose, Chris Bey & Sami Callihan vs Chris Sabin, Matt Cardona & Trey Miguel

Sami and Sabin start the match up and Sabin uses his quickness to mess with Callihan and gets the tag to Cardona but swings to Sami’s favor to get Chris Bey in. Cardona uses his power advantage and gets the tag into Trey Miguel to get his fight into Bey. After some shenanigans, Moose gets a quick shot to Trey so his team has the upper hand going. Bey gets a tag into Moose and Moose absolutely man handles Trey Miguel and taunts Trey’s team to tag as he beats him down. As frequent tags get Trey Miguel into more and more trouble but Trey’s anger energizes him and gets him to his corner after Sami and Trey get knocked down.

Cardona and Bey come in and take a giant brawl going and hits a Broski Bo— a facewash… and Sabin tags in and hell breaks loose. Sami tags himself after the fighting in to hit a package piledriver but Sabin escapes and all men come to use their finishing moves but Callihan hits Sabin with the piledriver to solidify his win.

Final Thoughts:

We got some matches to be announced and punctuated for Under Siege on the show tonight, it was very lackluster minus the X Division and Main Event. A lot of clustered and/or multiple people matches to do put “importance” in it. It just kind of seemed like a middle school student rushing to get a projected done to me. As always the X Division shined the brightest, each men in the main event of the Impact Special showed they had something to prove against each other so they at least did that well.

Maybe they make me a believer again and have faith in IMPACT at Under Siege but for Saturday, you will have the main man come in and my Good Brother, Andrew, will show you how that goes for all of you.
