MY THOUGHTS

Team Taz taking squash to a new level was a really fun way to open, and then we got a great match-up with #LEGIT Leyla and Diamante. Leyla is definitely another choice, along with Abadon, that will be waiting on the other side of Hikaru Shida VS Britt Baker, I hope we get a lot of “Too Legit! Too Legit for Britt!” going on in a build of Britt and Leyla. It makes sense for Varsity Blonds, The Acclaimed and SCU to be in action as a go-home to Dynamite’s Fatal 4 Way contender’s match, regardless of the obvious results. Well, to be fair, a lot of matches on Dark have obvious results, why do you think I’m doing things his way now?

KiLynn King’s theme getting a little speaking part at the start is a nice update. It shows she’s moving up the ranks as far as how the company sees her. Pac using a Tombstone in his arsenal is a nice addition, but obviously it works on guys smaller than him, like Serpentico. And Pac’s promo interview was solid stuff to keep everyone aware that Death Triangle VS Best Friends is just for now. Caster’s rap tonight was surprisingly not insulting his opponents but putting himself and Bowens over, which is actually pretty refreshing in a way. I just hope he has an insult rap for Dynamite’s Fatal 4.

The final four matches were solid competition, definitely worth watching. The Hughes Brothers, sons of D-Von Dudley, they obviously have the foundation of a great team, but Scorpio & Ethan have good chemistry already as the brash, cocky Heels they are. I’m glad we got Ryan Nemeth, Cezar Bononi & JD Drake in a Six Man Tag, they and Peter Avalon can make for a strong midcard faction if they can just get more screen time. Dante Martin VS Danny Limelight was so good, I’m surprised it was here and not on Elevation. And of course, Archer wins to stay strong in his building story with Ethan, Scorpio, Sting and so on, but it could’ve been a handicap against Chaos Project since Serpentico got involved.

Fuego showing up was interesting, maybe he’s starting a Dark feud with Serpentico. Jake the Snake’s pretty funny on commentary, on top of Excalibur and Taz already being great.
