Can Kenny Omega redeem himself against Captain Charisma?

Opening with the tag eliminator tournament was standard AEW formula and it was of course an awesome match. It’s also a great detail that this being a Faces VS Faces friendly type, there was a great showing of sportsmanship and respect throughout. I feel like this match also gave Jurassic Express the time to really show what they could do both together and apart. Luchasaurus always finishes things so quickly in other matches, I forgot he can go for long stretches. Such great creativity from both teams, too, such as Fenix’s Super Steiner throwing Jungle Boy onto everyone else.

Lucha Bros winning makes a lot of sense, they are definitely the team capable of dethroning the Young Bucks. But at the same time, Jurassic Express should basically get next after All Out on the road to Dynamite’s anniversary. We got great stuff recapping CM Punk’s AEW debut and his in-ring return against Darby Allin. Darby changing up his face paint is cool stuff, too. I hope he pulls off like a Watchmen Rorschach look at some point. Miro continues to play his character perfectly, including him going after Fuego Del Sol just because he could. And just going from that brawl, Miro VS Eddie Kingston for the TNT Championship is going to be wild, I can feel it.

Conti VS Bunny was a very good match, especially with Bunny Allie’s character work reminding Jericho of “Baby the crazy chick from House of 1000 Corpses.” I don’t do scary movies (made obvious by how Abadon still scares me) so I don’t know the reference Jericho is making but I’ll trust he knows what he’s talking about there. But as for the match, Bunny Allie dominating would normally foreshadow Conti winning, but then Penelope Ford distracted Conti to turn that around. This is all for momentum in the Women’s Casino Battle Royal, but I’m still very sure Thunder Rosa is winning and challenging Britt Baker past All Out.

Good recap vignette for the Team Taz story, Brian Cage VS Will Hobbs is going to be badass. And I like that Rampage is making it a tradition to “interview” the main event participants, as it for one helps Rampage stand out from Dynamite and the YouTube shows. Brandon Cutler got called some really great names, like “the biggest jackass in wrestling” and “little bitch manbaby,” if I remember correctly. And of course, Cutler is the meat shield and Nakazawa is the weasel so Omega can keep an advantage over Kaz and Christian. And The Elite losing here doesn’t change that Omega will find a way to win at All Out, as I don’t see Christian becoming a double champion.
