QUICK NOTES

Right away, given what we saw from Moriarty with Joey Janela, Daniel Garcia VS Lee Moriarty is going to be something to watch for this card. Jay & Tay getting back into tag action together is good to see but obviously they’re winning, and same goes for The Butcher getting back into action alongside The Blade.

AFTER WATCHING

Bonus points from me that this is was forty minutes for a fairly quick watch with the 1.25 speed on YouTube. Good showings from Aminata and Ren Jones in their loses to great veterans in Emi Sakura and Frankie Kazarian. If the partnership of Bunny Allie and Penelope Ford continues, I feel like Ford should join the Hardy Family Office, and Kip Sabian by extension. Butcher and Blade getting back in the ring was good but I think the best part was Eddie Kingston enjoying it on commentary because he still sees them as friends. Cargill should do dead lift into the chicken wings and Jaded (Glam Slam) more often, because that was really impressive.

If AEW tries to redo their women’s tag tournament or medals or whatever, they surely would and should put Jay & Tay as the winners of that. They’ve had great chemistry in and out of the ring, but especially in the ring, as they got to show here. Garcia VS Moriarty was definitely the best match because Moriarty got to show his stuff again, even in losing to another great young star. But at the same time, Nyla is a name people who watch AEW already know, that’s why she and a bright young star in Skye Blue get to main event.
