AEW innovates again to help settle the score!

It isn’t quite time for Dynamite’s Grand Slam, but Big Swole and Diamante are going to Three Strikes, and someone could be out COLD on AEW Dark!

QUICK NOTES

Well right away, the Dark Order Civil War and this Three Strikes Match are going to be matches that make this week actually a lot of fun. For one, a lot of great story with the Dark Order here, and I do feel a little bad for not seeing this story unfold on AEW’s YouTube stuff. But as I’ve said before, if they could just keep these to a regular length… That aside, a Three Strikes Match being a very, very unique take on 2 out of 3 Falls and even British Rounds, this is a really good move for the blow-off to this feud, and can make the match go either way.

Secondarily, The Acclaimed’s return, or rather Max Caster’s return. Will he be more careful with his raps? Kidding, of course he has to be more careful. So long as he sticks to his opponents and not social commentary, pretty sure he’ll be fine.

After watching now:

Definitely watch that Janela VS Moriarty match, that was a great sleeper hit on this card. Plus, a great return from Sonny Kiss to go after Janela and spark that feud up again. Maybe Kiss recruits a female partner to face the unnamed associate of the Bad Boy and we get a really good mixed tag match for maybe even as high as an episode of Rampage. As for the Three Strikes, it seemed the rules were fast and loose in the execution, but we did in fact get a pinfall and a submission, compelling a knockout finish. I wouldn’t mind AEW making this a regularly used stipulation to iron out the wrinkles, but it was big for Swole to win and move on from this feud with big momentum.
