QUICK NOTES

Eight matches, a pretty good size for Elevation. I like that Baron Black, whose ring gear has some Legend of Zelda influence, is teaming with a guy named Ganon. The Six Woman Tag is the one that will be hard to predict, but there’s a lot of good chemistry in those teams, along with character and charisma. That one is definitely one to watch, when a lot of these are predictable.

AFTER WATCHING

Tay & Jay get a quick opening win, but it only means so much while AEW has no Women’s Tag Division officially established through titles or those medals. No tron graphics for Nese yet? Seems kinda weird. It can’t be that hard to slap Nese’s name on the screen and do some color patterns or something. LaRoux gave him quite the match, great showing for a hometown guy, but Nese still wins out. Good teamwork from Team Taz, that’s momentum for their eventual match with Dante Martin & Lio Rush.

The Six Woman Tag being the middle of the card was expected, and was a lot of fun, also as expected. Great win for the Faces, and that gives momentum to Statlander going into her match with Ruby Soho, who was on commentary watching. Duh Kaz wins, not sure what happened to him being an Elite Hunter, though. He should be helping Christian Cage & Jurassic Express out since Bobby Fish is hanging with the Super Kliq. The Dark Order not being main event here was a bit of a surprise, fans rally love them. But they still have a really good match with Davis, Ganon and Baron and a good win.

Riho also gets a good win in the second-to-last match, and it’s pretty cool for Wheeler Yuta to have the main event here. Yuta may have gotten decimated by Wardlow last time, but he’s still got skill, and with him being the protégé to Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy, and now a member of NJPW’s Chaos, he’s got a promising future.
