Interesting to see another women’s tag with Nyla Rose and another TBS Championship tournament entry. Nyla’s team won against Kris Statlander, I wonder if Ruby finds a way to win this one. Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alex Reynolds & John Silver are the members of the Dark Order in that match against The Acclaimed & 2point0, that’s going to be really fun. Good to see Matt Hardy back in action, and seeing how Butcher & Blade are taking on Yuta & Chuck, maybe the HFO are going to go another round with Orange Cassidy and friends going towards Revolution.

AFTER WATCHING

Danny Adams looks like if you fused Tony Schiavone and Orange Cassidy, and naturally gets squashed by Hobbs. Neat new shirt for the expanding Best Friends team. Good tag match, especially with it being the first one for Butcher & Blade in some time. Yuta gets a great showing but Butcher & Blade get a big win to make their return strong. Tootie Lynn had a good showing, especially since she was facing Riho, but of course Riho still wins. And naturally, Big Money Matt gets his win, but Dean Alexander with a great showing. I did like Hardy’s promo, wanting his opponent to show him not just respect but reverence.

At this point, I feel like Vickie Guerrero should consider being manager to Emi Sakura and even Mei Suruga, who was there with them tonight. Nyla and Sakura have been teaming up together quite a lot lately, there are going to be two singles titles in the AEW Women’s Division and they could still revive the women’s tag medals. Maybe throw in Diamante, she’s worked well with these two, too. Nyla could make some history being the first woman to have a Triple Crown like that. At the same time, Mizunami, Ruby, and a few others could band together to stand against them. Women’s Blood & Guts? Women’s Stadium Stampede if they ever returned to TIAA Bank Field?

But as I figured, Ruby won this one to get her momentum going into her match with Kris Statlander, that she will surely win. Nyla being a sore loser was pretty natural, and it was a good Face move for Statlander to make the save. And then the 8 Man Tag made for a great main event. Fans love the Dark Order, they’re a lot of fun because they’re so good at melding the serious and the comedic. I really wish they’d gotten their chance at titles for All Out, but maybe Revolution can bring them back around. Hell, at a certain point, The Dark Order should have everything outside of the top title.
